Edited a few things on your post like I said I would, Alcoremortis, and provided the link to it down in the Player Character section. We now have 3 of the projected 7 party members up on the blog. ^.^
I'll get my character up on the blog once I've fleshed out his background a bit. So I wouldn't recommend holding your breath waiting given my track record!
Don't worry mate, it's not like we're on a time restriction to get these up. If you guys decide to wait until the game gets going to get them up, that's fine too. Really, the only person under pressure to get things done is me as your DM. :P

Honestly, I thought it was a bit daunting before I started (since I didn't really have a whole lot of stuff set in stone for my character) but once I actually started writing, my fingers took over and started making up shit, which turned out all right in the end, I think.
I think I managed to finish getting my weapons hammered out. I still need to pick out magic spells, which I should be able to handle, but I'm going to need some help building my Hollyphant and picking an animal companion.
Oh, and I decided to take one more level in Ranger to get Woodland Stride, so I could add Woodwalk to my armor.

I'm not very good at making stuff like this up, especially when I don't really have a full knowledge of the world and suchlike. Hell it took me long enough just to come up with a name I liked. Now I have to decide where he comes from and why he is doing what he is doing. I was listening to Guru & Maggie talk about weapons and enchantments (I think) last night most of which just went over my head. I suppose it didn't help that I was quite tired and was falling asleep (not your fault guys!) which is why I quietly slinked off.

Yeah, I sorta just made stuff up and trusted that Maggie would tell me if it was impossible for the world. I still haven't decided on anything for his family except that his father is like a cross between Professor Membrane and Bloody Stupid Johnson, which believe me, is quite hilarious. I'd say just come up with wacky stuff and it will probably work out in the end.
That's all sorts of awesome. I kinda hope that there'll be lots of trees where we're going.
Sweet, Woodwalk is a pretty useful little enchantment, because there's this great little variant rule that allows you to use it to walk through wooden walls as well, meaning you're not just limited to woodland use. I learned about it when playing a Shifter Ranger (Urban Variant) during an Eberron game 4 or 5 years back, and given Sigil's about as Urban as you get, you'll rarely be in a situation where it's not useful.
I think I managed to finish getting my weapons hammered out. I still need to pick out magic spells, which I should be able to handle, but I'm going to need some help building my Hollyphant and picking an animal companion.
On the animal companion/familiar front, it shouldn't take too long, though we'll have to work out a bit more of Verstaad's backstory timeline in the process. I'm just going to be sitting here re-writing my second dissertation chapter (ugh) this week, but I'll keep my evenings free so we can hash this stuff out when it's convenient for you.

We did get sort of technical on the enchantment stuff, so don't sweat it. Though you're going to have to figure out magic items for yourself as well. I've got some good stuff for the cleric build you were going for though, so if you don't mind me slinging a lot of suggestions your way, it'll be pretty quick.
On character background, that's actually pretty easy for you. You're a cleric of Corellon Larethian, who despite being one of the core deities, isn't worshipped on all planes. Therefore, since I'm assuming your went 15 levels of cleric, we know where you possibly are from and where you're definitely not from.
I supposed I should get this up on the blog too, but here's the rundown of prime material planes and the campaign settings they belong to if they're official.
Oerth, being technically the first Prime Material ever, naturally has Corellon as one of it's deities, as the the standard Pantheon for D&D comes from the chief deities of the Greyhawk setting. Given the large presence of elves in the setting, Abeir-Toril has clerics of Corellon as well, though they tend to be very insular and like other clerics of the Seldarine, tend almost exculsively to an elven flock. Idrin sees the worship of Corellon, especially since the Drow no longer worship Lolth, but in general there seem to be more clerics for the gods of battle then race specific ones (I've seldom ever had a cleric in that setting who didn't worship, Hieroneous, Tempus, Kord or Hextor for some reason. Not sure why.).
So those are the possibilities. Unless you left the plane early, the others are out. Eberron as a plane and a setting sees none of the traditional deities, and the people favor worshiping a pantheon instead of a particular deity. The elves worship a group of deathless elves known as The Undying Court and the Drow of Xendrik worship the scorpion god Vulkoor. Ravenloft's Demiplane of Dread is controlled by beings known as the Dark Lords, unidentifiable malevolent entities who manipulate everything that happens on the plane. They're demi-deities rather than full deities, though one of their number, Vecna, managed to ascend to the status of greater deity.
Athar's gods are dead and, excepting portals to Sigil, has been sealed off from the rest of the Great Wheel. The reasons for this are unknown. Krynn has it's own unique pantheon, so Corellon and most of the other deities stay out of it (excepting Bahamut and Tiamat; I basically operate under the assumption that Paladine and Takhisis are avatar/proxies of the aforementioned duo, otherwise having two sets of identical gods is just plain wierd). Fable's whole deity structure is filtered down through the Council of the Wise, so it doesn't seem likely there are that many clerics, Eden only worships Pelor and Corrinth...well, no one leaves Corrinth.
So basically to summarize that massive ramble, if you're going to play a character from a prime you're looking at Oerth, Abeir-Toril and Idrin. If you're playing someone from the planes, you're either from Arborea, The Outlands (most likely Sylvania, the gate town which leads to Arborea, as it has a high Elven, Half-Elven and Eladrin population) or Sigil itself.
Wow, that was massively helpful in narrowing down and summing up my options. I know what I need to look into now, and see what suits my character best.
Well, shit. Tomorrow looks like it may be all kinds of bad. Early in the day, I have chores I would've done today had something not come up, so I may not make it on early enough to do planning before we play. Then on the other end of things, my friend can't go home after work because they're redoing the floors at her house, so she has to stay here, so I may not be available around the time we usually start playing. I hate to call the day a wash, but it's looking like it probably won't work out.
I'll probably be on for a while in the afternoon to try and do my animal stuff, but I'm not counting on any more than that. I figure I'll have maybe 3-4 hours, but I'll probably have to leave around the time Katie shows up.
I'm not sure what is happening with me tonight either. I've got a friend coming over and I'm not sure exactly when. I'll probably be able to get on at some point, just how early sort of really depends on how cool he is with me just going onto my computer and then occasionally talk to myself (well that's how it looks from the outside).

Roll your friend a character and then she can join in!
Maybe if it was anybody but Jess. Trust me, it would not go over well.
Good news is that she's working late tonight and might be able to go home after all. Bad news is that I'm still doing chores and probably won't be on Skype for at least another hour.
Edit: Scratch that, she's coming over in about four hours.
Seriously guys, let your buddies sit in on a session. d:
Well he has been here a few times during a session and he has expressed some interest in what we're doing but last night it wasn't possible anyway as he wanted to go to the local pub and celebrate his first week of working after 3 years or so of unemployment.
Just a heads up, I shouldn't have any problems this week, but I have a dentist appointment next week that'll make me a little late, and the week after that is Nan Desu Kan, so I won't be around.
Also, my Dropbox was at 101%, so I had to leave the 3.5e books folder. Now I'm down to 11.2%. I'm still in the HIC SUNT DRACONIS folder with you guys, though.
That's why we have the filing system that we have. You can actually opt out of folders inside another folder.
To do this go to dropbox preferences. Click the advanced tab and choose "selective sync." Right now you'll just see the basic folders, but if you select "switch to advanced view" you'll see the subfolders. Just uncheck the ones you don't want to sync with.
I've been considering sub-catagorizing the supplements folder as well, but I'm not sure how I should sort the files yet.
That's good to know, Sen. I've been thinking of just copying everything on the dropbox onto my computer and then ceasing to share the stuff that's already there. I mean, it's only two gigs and I've got considerably more space than that left on my harddrive. I just have to overcome my laziness and, you know, actually do it.
I've also dropped the books folder, but copied the contents as of the other day to my hard drive before doing so.
Ditto. I'm hoping to get a chance to organize my books soon, since I have some in a "D&D" folder on my desktop, some in the "3.5e books" folder, and the ones out of the torrent in the "Downloads" folder in My Documents. There's books I have two or three copies of, so I need to get that figured out.
Copying and leaving is fine, but we do update the folder still with random useful books and such.
Do you want to be invited back in, Guru? No offense here if you don't. We made the 3.5 folder for people who couldn't get the PDFs any other way. It's certainly not a requirement to be in there. In fact, with the blog up, we could effectively faze out the dropbox from the game.
Unless you guys find it useful to have a folder with your character sheet inside so that everyone has access to it.
I don't know why I bother planning to do stuff, it never works out as I want it. Plus I'm a bit of a lazy bastard. Still working on my character but at least sort of decided where he's from. I think all (hah, 'all') I've left to do is finalise what weapons I'm using (got two basic ones though not sure what else I can do with them) and the rest of my equipment (I guess this covers whatever magical items I may have). Oh and picking my spells. Yay.
I would like to write at least a brief back story for my character, but I'm not sure where to start at the moment. I think I'll just concentrate on finishing my character first. Haven't even thought about a back up character, I guess I should really just in case as it would save time should the worse happen.
The final sentence in the item description refers to the glove (of storing) itself. If the glove's magic is dispelled or suppressed, any item stored in the glove pops out...
Most magical storage items use extradimensional space (such as a bag of holding). When the magic on such an item is dispelled or suppressed, access to the item's interior is closed off and you cannot deposit or retrieve anything in the magical storage item until the suppression ends. A glove of storing works differently. When its magic is dispelled or suppressed, an item stored inside pops out into your hand, just as if you recalled the item yourself.
I didn't know about that particular little quirk of the Glove of Storing, the more you know, I guess.
Also, I just wanted to apologize for the lack of game the other night. I actually nosedived into the desk while doing prep at about 7 my time and didn't regain consciousness until about 3 AM. This dissertation is making me narcoleptic, I swear to god.
Anyway, something else as a bit of a heads up, we may have a bit of a hiatus after the 24th of September as I'm getting kicked out of my housing and may be slumming it at a motel or hostel until I get settled into a flat somewhere. Hopefully something will pan out before then, but I figured, I'd just give you sll advanced warning.
Oh, good, I don't have to call it off first this time. I got sick as soon as I got home from the con, so as much as I'd like to start playing again, me and my voice aren't at all up for sitting here on Skype for hours.

Does that allow you to walk through trees? Cause that would be all sorts of awesome.

That's exactly what it does, three times per day. Up to 3000 feet each time, depending on which kind of tree I use.

Anyway, finished my last final. Totally free on fridays until (and hopefully after) the 29th.
