    Umm...thanks?

Sorry, I meant to say "awkward", not "creepy".

    Because I am the impulse.

    The impulse? That's nothing.

I am the stone that the builder refused
    The visual; the inspiration
That made ladies sing the blues
I am the spark that makes your idea bright
The same spark that lights the dark
So you can know your left from your right
I am the ballot in the box
    The bullet in the gun
    The story that's just begun
The promise of what's to come
And I will remain a soldier
    Til the war is won

Not much. What's the matter for you?

You know, I could rent you out as a decoy for duck hunters. Now here we are. And I wish you'd go somewhere else. Like an early grave.

Well, you know what they say, try try again. Call me wonderful, but I think you're being a quitter. Just go back and lie down until rigor mortis sets in, and call me if you need anything.

Being immortal is a pretty nice gig, I'll admit. You wouldn't consider retiring, would you?

I tell you what. You come into my office at 2 in the afternoon and talk to my secretary. And if she sees you, she's fired.

You're right. I can't see you at all right now, and in my opinion that's your greatest service to your country and mankind in general. You should work on not being read too, and if I were you I'd start your training immediately.

I find puzzlebox very attractive too, does that make me creepy?
Wait, no, it just makes me normal. I keep mixing those two.

Wait, was this a reference to my post? It's just that I haven't been paying attention to the last page of posts, so I'm checking this way.

No, no, Guru posted a pic of puzzlebox and one of Cello when asked by the latter what would be examples of what he found attractive. Tope (I believe) said it was creepy, probably referring to the fact he had posted a picture of Cello herself after she had asked that, but potentially talking about the fact that he chose people from this forum instead of anonymous girls... I'm not sure which.
Although personally I think posting pictures of someone you know makes sense when you're into "real" people, because you know them as individual too. Some people have a hard time finding someone attractive if they're just a picture.

I developed a new theory earlier. I believe people who don't like "fake" stuff probably would have less trouble with someone dying their hair, say, blonde or brown or black rather than, say, purple or pink or green.

Why? Because it might be a instinct thing. It might be that things that don't look like they could occur in nature are a turn-off for them because their reptilian brains tell them "this person must have a disease, stay clear" or something like that. Or that it's just too jarring.
Or things that are just as fake, such as glasses for instance, might be common enough that they don't typically cause such an effect, while dying your hair colours not occurring in humans naturally is still something that isn't that common.

I thought about it a bit earlier and thought I might add it in there. Of course I don't think people's tastes can be boiled down to just instincts, but I thought it might have a link of some sort.

Ah, okay. I thought that you had read one of my comments relating to that, and had perhaps misinterpreted it - I was just checking ;). And, by the way, these were my thoughts too; I didn't think that there was anything wrong with it.

Oh, and "awkward" was the word she used. I made the mistake of thinking she said "creepy" as well.
  • edited January 2011
Nope, Tope just said it was awkward, not creepy. And yes, was it ever awkward. That was probably the hardest time I've ever had writing a post without chickening out on it.

So when is the big revelation of doodo's reason behind the poll?

This topic feels like a golden age murder mystery but with the last 40 pages ripped out. >=(
  • edited January 2011
Ah yes, awkward and creepy aren't the same thing, although they can go together. And I definitely would understand why it would be awkward.

So why is Girl A so popular, any ideas? She's clearly leading this thing...

Girl A looks more approachable. She's looking at you and has a slight smile. Even though her photo is reversed.

Girl B is more aloof. She's trying to avoid eye contact, like she's waiting for someone who isn't you, so why are you still here?

Inner beauty matters the most. :)

Ok, we have enough results. I'm revealing it.

You guys ready for this? The lead, of the two is not a guy at all. It happens to be a ladyboy, a man who is dressed up as a woman. He's not a he/she he's just looks like a woman and accepts it.

I'm not sure what that says about anything but it's funny...

blah blah blah, while we're at it, check this out...

Told you to vote for me.
  • edited January 2011
So, this is the part where people who voted for Girl A should freak the hell out? (BTW, doodo, you got it a bit wrong, I've read the article, it's a full-fledged 'she' considering the operation and everything, it's not a boy who dresses up as a girl).

Anyway, I'm cool with that. I mean, with the technological advances in medicine when such thing is possible to be done without any strong bad consequences, why not? It's not as the person is FORCED to do that. Though I'm not sure if she ex-he can have babies, but she can always adopt someone, I guess.

Anyway, I suppose this is the part where all other people start a flame war, since... well... I mean, people were fighting over a PIERCING, so I can imagine what will happen now.

I meant girl A not the model example. (friendly misunderstood smile icon) If Girl A gets many more votes, now, I might just laugh.

And I was talking about Girl A. You said she was a boy who dresses up as a girl. I say she's not:
it was her second lover who paid for her operation. The model also said she had a normal sex life like any other women.

She was a boy and became a girl, that's not the same as dressing up ;) He's a full-fledged 'she' now (aside from the baby-part-question, as I said I don't know if she can have them).

Girl A is not the model, girl A is a forum user that I met on line...
The model is a example of something similar.

    :D I don't know if we're talking about A same girl...

The lead is Girl A (she has more votes, and, frankly, I've voted for her too :p ). Though yeah, after seeing the photos on the link I was wondering how come she didn't have the birthmark on the face and her eyes look different.

Sorry I was confusing. :p I didn't want to use some one famous originally because then some one would know what was going on early on.
