Like the animation, reminds me of a simpler time when puzzles were only platforms, energy pellets, and cubes. Really needs the signature Cave Johnson voice, though.
My friend and I finally got around to playing some of the co-op. I don't think we ever stopped laughing. Finding new ways to kill each other is almost as fun as actually solving each puzzle.
Also, the co-op puzzles are MUCH more inventive than the SP ones. Can't wait until we start hitting the gels.
Just beat co-op on the Xbox version with my cousin and it had a decent ending.
Im ashamed that there were
no plot twists there what so ever, the story was very simple in my opinion
I wasn't upset by
no plot twists
, but the distinct lack of
a climax and catchy credits song
bugged me. However, co-op was a lot of fun and had some of the better puzzles in the game. The only puzzle in either Portal that truly stumped me/pissed me off was a co-op one.
I'm sure it was intentional that there wasn't much of a story in the co-op. Which was fine with me, given that my buddy couldn't stfu any time GLaDOS was talking.
Yeah co-op is great fun too. Me and my cousin had a blast with it, and the puzzles were defenently hard. My hardest being the one where you have to find some Security disk, it took us forever to figure out that
we have to fling ourselves at eatchother and we would land in the middle

WHAT. No wonder we had no idea how the hell to get me over there after my partner landed and I fell.

I remember me and my sister did that on accident. We were randomly trying to get across, and when I
portaled so the bridge went out from under us, I was surprised as heck to see her fly at me

Yeah. We were both confused, so he messed with the portal physics on a chair while I just stood there and described all I see it sortof was like this
"Ok I see 2 spots where we could both fling ourselves. And 2 areas for portals so we can fling ourselves. Im sure that is just so we can both go forward at the same time.... OH NOW I GET IT
Buying this in spite of the fact that I wish Geoff Keighley would be exiled from the gaming press for being a tremendous douche. QUIT SPENDING MY MONEY, DASHING.
Really, it's things like this that make me lose my faith in humanity and that there is such a thing as goodness in the world. But don't just take my word for it. Just watch the video.
Seriously, of all the things to rag on about Portal 2, they chose...this. It doesn't even make sense and is clearly an argument made by people who had their sense of humor surgically removed.

I actually think that's one of the most fair and unjaded criticisms of a game in the media for a long time. Kids don't have the same sense of humour as you or I

Since when was Portal 2 an educational game for kids?

So wait. They got THAT far through the game without hearing an adoption joke? They joke about that throughout the game! I also assume they didn't play Portal 1, because there's an adoption joke in there as well.
I can see where they're coming from, but, there's no reason to make a huge scene about it. It's just a joke.
I'd just like to point out here that I'm adopted, but honestly. For one thing, it's obvious the GLaDoS, and at that point
Wheatley
are evil. They are trying to put you down and throw you off. It's just what they use... you don't see people flipping out because the term 'fatty' is used, do you? Now, maybe it's different for some people that don't know as much about their adoption, but hey, mine never upset me, and I've even laughed at lines like that in the game. Because it's a game.
Seriously, that time when the announcer said "Look at that! Did you hear that!" I was just rolling on the floor. It was like a little child trying to prove to his father that Santa Claus exists by pointing at the empty plate of chocolate chip cookies.

They should also do research and so the game and release the first game was rated T, and also the only reason that this game isnt rated T is due to the lack of blood. So technicaly there is T rated humor.
And still EDUCATIONAL!! On what? Its called a PUZZLE GAME not an EDUCATIONAL GAME!

Well, there was this instance where Wii Fit called a girl fat / overweight.
Also, one who can't even pronounce "insensitivity", even at a second try, should get shot. Hell, if it's that hard to pronounce, just do it slow, and don't botch it by saying "insentivity" or whatever he just said.

Cool.
As for me, I want a little more to the game so Im searching around for custom maps. Anyone have any good single player portal 2 maps they've found?

That was a cracker puzzle!
Holy shit you sound like a Mac user!
Oh yeah I noticed that. I might check that out later.
I'm going to be spending money again, aren't I?
Also, those goo.gl links will be the death of you. Stop torturing yourself with them.
What do you mean by that? I AM a Mac user.
I agree with that.
oh by the way the book is awesome!

I don't even know. I just don't.
Since they needed it to be one in order to write a sensationalized news story.

Santa got carrot sticks at my house.

"Rated E for everyone except orphans."
