My iPhone is now thinking with portals.

If you pull this off, you have to post tons of pictures and tell us how you did it, because that sounds amazing.

It's going to be similar to the turret in the video I posted. Voicebox that will talk when interacted with. It'll probably be noise activated.

Am I the only one that was extremely disappointed at not getting anything at all for
Voluntarily getting crushed to death? I mean, they reward you for the two most stupid ways to die ("Oh look, a deer. Go into this obvious trap and solve this test so you can go out and see it before it leaves" and "Jump into this pit! There's...uh...your parents...and, uh, a boyband...and ponies...and other stereotypical girly stuff! ...Will you just jump into the pit please?"), but not for that? =(

Somehow, I could see a PoTaTOS being built inside a Mr. Potato Head body.

Wonder how long it's going to take someone to make a replica of Wheatley.

I'm going to use a real potato. The wiring can always be removed and added to a new one. (Most of said wiring is just for show anyway)

Oh, yeah, a real potato is totally the way to go for that project, I was just saying, I could totally see a Mr. PoTaTOS Head happening.

Or better yet, a Mrs. PoTaTOS Head. Market it to the kiddies!

I'm desperately seeking a co-op buddy. Anyone interested?

Valve is clarifying their statement about single player games.

I really don't know how to keep single player where it is and allow a social experience. Maybe optional co-op that's integrated into the main storyline or maybe just Facebook alerts from Steam.

It probably won't evolve further than, say, insta-tweets of recently acquired achievements. Oh my god, it's a horrific future.

I'm picturing more of a drop-in-anytime second player sort of option in the single player games. That's pretty common in standard shooter games, but would be much trickier in story-based and puzzle-based games like Portal, but I think they could do it

Why does everything have to have some sort of multiplay option? What in the world is wrong with just straight single player these days?? Not all of us have to be connected to our friends and family at all times.

Yeah, sometimes you gotta have your time with your pre-scripted, pixellated friends as well!

Oh, yeah, a real potato is totally the way to go for that project.

    I stand corrected.

Looks like Volpin is making a PotatOS. He actually did a cast of a real potato, then painted the result to look like a potato. A real potato is still the way to go for anyone who doesn't have Volpin's absurd level of skill, but for someone who does...this thing is going to be awesome.

See, now that's... just not fair. At all.

It really isn't. I wish I had a fraction of the man's skill. I wonder if he'll do a version of the Portal Gun with PotatOS on it.

In case there's anyone who doesn't read the Desktop Screenshots thread, here's a wallpaper I made.

Forget a portal gun, I really want a combustible lemon launcher!

I want a portal gun that launches combustible lemons.

You, sir, are obviously a genius and should be working for Aperture.

Also, I can tell by your forum handle.

Someone send it to Garrys Mod NOW!

I have never replayed a game within a year of originally beating it. Portal 2 was the first exception.

The Legend of Zelda is probably the best video game series ever created and it not multi player

Hey, if the rumors about Project Cafe are true (a 6" touch screen on the controller) then it'll be a perfect machine for a Four Swords comeback.

Yeah but does it make as much money as Call of Duty? Because that's all most publishers care about anymore.

    An interesting photo I took.
It looks like an earlier Portal gun.
