    Props? Props you say?

    For the sake of science!

That is pretty tempting. I think I need a version like this one though.

That first one looks like a steampunk Portal gun.

 What does the second one look like?

Isn't it though? Sadly, it's not known when it'll be up for sale as NECA had to have some talks with some overenthusiastic online merchants who put the ASHPD up for pre-order without knowing how many would be allotted.

    Oops.

There. That's what I meant. Must have mixed my tabs up.

Haha. Figured it was something like that.

I hope NECA does more with the Portal license. I don't expect that life-size prop replicas like that are in my budget, but I'd buy stuff in miniature scale.

Atlas and PBody figures in the works too.

Well, that Portal gun is supposed to be about $150, which isn't bad. That's about how much Mattel's hoverboard is going to be.

I'll stick with paper stuff for now...

Scroll down until you see the Portal one. And then scroll a little more until you see the rest of it.
  • edited March 2012
So, does anyone know how to pre-order that Portal Gun? Or have pre-orders not gone live yet?
  • edited March 2012
As I said, pre-orders were taken down because they haven't been authorized by NECA yet.

One of which? Didn't make the turret, by the way, but will probably canibalize it for the gyroscope and light system to make my own better one. The legs don't look right, IMHO.

I was more joking on that than anything. Wait gyroscope? Does the turret "shoot randomly" when knocked down?

Show off more :P Make more stuff.

What happened to the single player DLC for 'Portal 2'? I thought there was something planned or did I just miss it?

Its a level editor for both SP and MP. One less complicated than Hammer.

In closed beta testing I believe.

When did they decide to ditch the SP story DLC and make it an editor instead?

I don't remember ditching it, I just know that the next DLC is a level editor. Been announced for a long time now.

Ohh... I thought it was in beta ever since the annoucement. Then again, they probably had to REbeta-test for Steam Workshop, perhaps. Where'd you hear it just got closed Beta, though?

Intriguing read. It seems they've invited map-makers for a very exsclusive beta. At least we know it's coming soon... enough...

You get the PC version freebies on PS3 IIRC.

And I think Level Editor was confirmed for PS3(DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THAT), since it is synced with steam.

If that is the case then allow me to amend my original statement...

I'm sure valve did something to help the PS3 users. Such as mouse and keyboard support:p

Oh, for my Plastics class this semester I am making resin chess pieces- Portal of course. Black is: Turret x8 (pawn), POTaTOS x2 (rook), Wheatley x2 (knight), GLaDOS x2 (bishop), and Caroline and Cave as Queen and King.

White is Cube x8 (pawn), cake x2 (rook) Chell and Mel (knights), Rattman x2 (bishop), and P-body and Atlas as Queen and King.

Anybody want a set? Once I kate the originals, it's a plastics class. I can make as many replicae as I want.
  • edited April 2012
That sounds damn awesome. As long as you're sure it's no trouble, put me down for a set.
