Yeah, I know it is. Usually when we get screwed on price it's by little enough that it might be fair considering we have higher average income, but the difference on this one's pretty absurd.
21 games on sale and I'd suggest you all pick up "Hell Yeah!: Wrath Of The Dead Rabbit" if you love crazy platformers with WarioWare-style mini games and a Rabbit as the main hero.
One of my favourite games this year and it even works great on Mouse & Keyboard. (fully customizable controls)
Eehhhh I've been playing Hell Yeah! as well, and while it is a decent game, its certainly nothing special. Truly its aesthetics and humour style save it from being plain mediocre.
I hear Shank 2 is great, and I already had Shank from an indie bundle so I decided to pick it up for a little marathon fun!
Also, if you haven't got Castle Crashers... WAIT! Hell! Even if you DO already have Castle Crashers, you should pick that up on sale. One of the greatest beat em ups ever made. Just so goshdarn fun!

Yes, there's a bunch of games on sale. The news article mentioned 10, but that's clearly inaccurate.
Recommend these two more than any other. They are both a lot of fun.
Also, I didn't think too much of Lego Batman 2, but for that price, it's probably worth it. The other Lego <insert franchise here> games also seem to be on offer, but not as good value as LiB2DiCS.
Noticed the other day when I updated and happened to have to show a friend how to use Steam. Accidentally clicked it and had to bullshit my way through it pretending it was nothing new.
Well yeah. I wanted it when I saw it and then I looked at the game hub and saw it had no online multiplayer. Which is the only negative of this game for me. But it is big enough.
Why does Steam think it's a good idea to put old games with a price tag almost twice as much as the same games have on GoG? (AND those same games have some extra goodies and bonuses)

I don't think it's Steam. On GoG there is a usual price for games on Steam there is not so Square can set the price to what ever they think is good. And I guess they think their old crap is worth 10€ per game.
But hey. It's only a matter of time until those are 75% off.

Well, I don't think GoG posts a game on their service without making a deal with the publisher regarding the price.
Plus, when it comes to old games on GoG (because prices with newer games are much more varied), there are TWO standard prices: 5.99 and 9.99. Legacy of Kain games cost 5.99 on GoG. And I'm sure Square and GoG have agreed on that price. Taking that into account, how the hell can anybody think that setting a price at 9.99 on a different service was ever a good idea?
I think der ketzer has the right idea, Steam sets higher base prices so it can discount them later. Also Steam has a massive install base and more than a few of them only buy games on Steam, so there's that.
I just think it's terrible that Eidos is using GOG like this. You know, having GOG do all the hard work of getting the games running properly on modern systems, then turning around and selling these ports on Steam for way too much.
£5.99 / $7.49 / €6.99 (glad to see the EU doesn't get screwed over for once!)
I kinda want this, but I'm a tad wary - the inevitable Christmas Sale will be here soon, and I can't decide whether to wait for it to go on sale then or just say "f*ck it" and buy it now.

Ding ding ding!
$4.99 is about €12.49, right?
Actually I wouldn't buy it even if it was €2.49. I played Spore more than enough a few years ago but when I had enough I really had enough.
Well no. $4.99 is about 3.99€.
Typical EA pricing of death and destruction.

£11.99 / $19.99 / €18.39
Remember Steam's Big Picture? The thing that lets you play Steam games on a big ol' TV? Well, it's out now, and to celebrate, 10 games that use it are on sale. Most are 75% off, though there's a few that are 66%, 50% & 33%.

It comes up at €13.99 on my end.

Earth 2160 (which is currently in an indie bundle. So why buy it here?)
£0.74 / $1.24 / €1.24
£8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99
This is since the prequel (NOT sequel) The Critter Chronicles is out today (20% off at £14.39 / $15.99 / €15.99).
(Not being silly, I actually wanna know if it's good or not)
But no one really cares.
What you really should have a look at are the 2 weekend deals!
€4,99 / $4.99 / £3.99
Looks pretty uninteresting to me, but I've never been a big fan of chess.
The Weekend deals are what you really want on Steam right now.

What you can get on Steam for only 50% of the normal price is:
€12,49 / $12.49 / £9.99
£5.99 / $7.49 / €6.99 (glad to see the EU doesn't get screwed over for once!)

Well, I know you won't.
