I know this is all just rumors, but what do all of you think here?

Personally, I wouldn't like it if Zelda U was to be made as an open world game. Despite being a big fan of them, I like Zelda games because of the story. I wouldn't want extra dungeons/quests and collectables to impose on that.

Other than that, rumors have it that Zelda U is a direct sequel to TP. Cool. It's nice to see another sequel to a Zelda game that wasn't WW.

I don't think we'll get anything concrete till 2014 though.

I couldn't care less what it's a sequel to, so long as it's good.

    Huh. That looks...awkward.

I'd love a sequel to Twilight Princess. The Midna story was wrapped up fairly well but a lot of the relationships and plotlines felt pretty open-ended. I'd like to see more of Ilia. I'm not opposed to the idea of an open-world style either.

Yeah...that already exists. And I miss it.

It look's better on the 3DS screen where you can see he's jumping from ground floor to first floor on a jump pad thing.

I meant the character model for Link looks awkward. I'm really not liking the design there.
  • edited July 2013
Looks less like Link and more like a character from Find Mii.

Yea I see what you mean looks like a hyrulian cos player dressing as Link instead of Link.

Kind of like the TRUE SEQUEL TO ALTTP NINTENDO IGNORES: ANCIENT STONE TABLETS.

Ancient stone tablets is about characters from modern times getting sucked into Hyrule, doesn't feature Link at all, and only saw a release in Japan on a system that basically rendered the game impermanent. Nintendo was never going to recognize it as canon.

    Indeed.

So freakin stoked for A Link Between Worlds.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
    Link's Crossbow Training

These are all the Zelda/Link games available for the Wii right? I bought 'em because I want to start my Zelda journey. :p

I'll be playing these on my Wii U because it makes Wii games look better on HDTV than the original Wii.

If I were to play the Wii on a CRT TV then it'd look great but I've moved on from those outdated TVs.

I recommend Twilight Princess for Gamecube over Twilight Princess for Wii. Sure the Wii version is widescreen while the Gamecube version is not, but the controls for the sword and for special moves are better on the Gamecube. Especially for the shield bash.

Zelda is pretty much already Open-World though.

True, but he mentioned having a WiiU, so I don't know if he can play NGC games.

Legend of Zelda fan right here, I love that game, I have 4 Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time and Spirit Tracks. I wish I could play Majora's Mask but I don't have an Nintendo 64. Legend of Zelda is awesome. Have I posted on here before with a post exactly like this one?
  • edited August 2013
Majora's Mask is available on the Collectors Edition Gamecube Zelda disc, which is well worth tracking down, and on WiiWare. Most people don't consider you a true fan until you've played it and/or fallen in love with it.

Not on disc. He'd have to get it on the eShop when it comes out.
