Yep. I'm pretty excited for it. I'm a bit behind schedule, though. I did fine last night, clearing the Fire Sanctuary, fighting The Imprisoned, and fighting Levias/Bilocyte. Tonight, though, I got distracted for a lot of the time I was able to play for, so I only got two parts of the Song of the Hero. At least I'm past the game-breaking glitch, though.
Managed to get caught up. Finished the Song of the Hero and the Sky Keep tonight. All I have to do is finish the final boss battles tomorrow, and I'll have a break on Friday night before the symphony on Saturday.
Spent way too much time tonight putting together the timeline of my series run. As a result, I managed to beat Ghirahim, but I ran out of time to fight Demise. I'll probably finish tomorrow afternoon or evening.

The Legend of Zelda series run: 390 Days
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to play something else for a change.
Actually, I'm going to take a break from series running to finish Assassin's Creed: Revelations, then I'm going to dive into a Metroid run, seeing as I have yet to play a third of the series.
And yet it still seems odd to me that, while this is (or at least was) an adventure game developer forum, you have not--and are extremely hesitant to--play games from a flagship series for the genre.
I was never a Sierra fan to begin with (and I think I only learned of them after joining here), and I still have the LucasArts library to finish before I even think about King's Quest. Besides, I have enough games that I already own to finish without adding more to the list.
Besides, King's Quest just doesn't interest me, both thematically and in perceived difficulty.
Assumptions mean nothing. You never really know what a game is like until you play it. Take me, for instance. I still won't play Grim Fandango for stupid reasons. I didn't like the theme, thought it was too Tim Burton-ish, everyone praised it too much etc. I tried the beginning eventually and that wasn't terribly exciting or impressive, but I really didn't give it a chance. I do have to get back to the game eventually. Once I play at least a hefty portion of the game then I'll have be allowed to have an opinion.
I'm not saying you're not allowed to have an opinion (even though you aren't in this case), I'm just saying you should give it a chance first.
Well, like I said, I already have a ton of games that caught my interest enough to buy them (most of them without having an entire forum beating me over the head with them) that I have yet to beat or even play, so I really have enough on my plate at the moment.
Hey, wasn't this thread about Zelda at some point?

I think you meant to say something about Fallout in there. Dashing even composed a song to commemorate it!
I'd hardly call ripping off How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying "composing". That said, because of Icedhope's tabletop proposal, I think I will be giving New Vegas a shot after I finish Assassin's Creed and before I play Metroid.
And I'm only doing this because I already own the games, as the KOTOR incident illustrated that our tastes in games aren't exactly a perfect match.

Well, New Vegas is probably the easiest one to get absorbed into since you can play a good portion like a shooter in an awesome world. The first two are turn based, which for me took awhile to figure out.

Yeah, for some reason, every place I talk about being finished with Zelda, people keep insisting I play games I don't really want to play.
I don't care if you play King's Quest or not. I was just pointing out the fallacy of your statement that King's Quest was uninteresting "thematically and in perceived difficulty." You can't know you'll like something or even know if it's difficult until you try it. You can't just pass judgment on it. To be fair, you probably wouldn't like it no matter what anyone says because you've built it up as something in your mind and that's all you'll be able to see now. Another reason why I don't care if you play it or not.
I guess I'm just sick of all the Sierra bashing I hear everywhere. Especially from people who haven't even played their games or given them much of a fair chance. I'm not saying you're bashing them....you're just another trigger is all. I'm just out to defend Sierra's original honour.
In an interesting parallel to your post, you were actually the last one I was thinking about when I said that. The main trigger was getting hounded by Alcoremortis and Rather Dashing on Google+ about how I should play Fallout.

See, I consider this to be a fallacy. True, I can't pass any judgment at all on whether or not I would like it. But I can pass all the judgment I want on whether or not I'm interested.
And "perceived" was a very carefully chosen word. True, I don't know how difficult the Sierra games are, and I don't pretend to. But I can certainly say that after reading dozens of posts made by people who have played the games, I've built an idea of what they're like, and certain specifics that I've heard have turned me off to the idea of these games.
To be fair, you probably wouldn't like it no matter what anyone says because you've built it up as something in your mind and that's all you'll be able to see now.
Now that's just plain unfair. I like to think that once I've given something a chance, once I've actually made the decision to give some of my precious free time to anything, that I keep an open mind. It's giving it a chance that's the stumbling block, but when I give something a chance, I give it a fair chance.

That's understandable, but I feel like you're projecting some frustrations with other people who aren't Sierra fans onto me.
Also, I'd like to point out that I've never said that I won't play King's Quest, just that I won't right now, and I likely won't until I've finished the LucasArts library. I'm willing to give them a chance, and hopefully before the Telltale game comes out, and I've already acquired the games. I'm just not interested right now.

Sorry for the hounding. If it makes you feel any better, I've been hounding Dashing for a good part of the last year to play Trine, so it appears that I am quite ineffective any way you slice it.
Fair enough. Also, I must point out that I wasn't necessarily being accusatory or negative when I said you've built it up as something in your mind. That happens a lot to people and is just the way of things. It was no more than a statement. It was not a derogatory comment against you.
I saw "Zelda Classic" on the Wii Homebrew Browser, so I looked it up online. Apparently, some fans had developed a somewhat-updated remake of The Legend of Zelda. Color me curious. Then, I looked at the Homebrew Browser again and it said Zelda Classic requires a keyboard. For a Wii port of a fan-remake of a first-party Nintendo game. Stupid. Besides, I only have one keyboard and am not messing with plugging it into my Wii.
Well, I decided maybe I could play it on my computer... and it turns out that the Windows version crashes every time I tell it to run, while the DOS version complains about not locating a necessary file.
After this, I realized that the game hasn't been properly updated since 2005. *shrug* I guess that would explain things.

As usual, some songs are good, some aren't so much.
Here's a good song for you, Guru: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3HVHNf-oW4
Yeah, roughly half of it is pretty awful.

King's Quest VI?

There's...... one way to get back on track.
Just...wow...
I think you meant to say something about Fallout in there. Dashing even composed a song to commemorate it!

Wuss.
Well THEY were off topic too.
And there probably is a New Vegas Legend of Zelda mod too.
Yeah, for some reason, every place I talk about being finished with Zelda, people keep insisting I play games I don't really want to play.
Assasins Creed Revelations. All I'm saying.
People just like it when others play things that interest them, something you won't be doing again for me until you get to your Metroid run.
I don't care if you play King's Quest or not. I was just pointing out the fallacy of your statement that King's Quest was uninteresting "thematically and in perceived difficulty." This is me, hounding.
Guru, you've played Zak McKracken, and I can say for certain that that game is way more confusing than the King's Quest games are.
Well, I decided maybe I could play it on my computer... and it turns out that the Windows version crashes every time I tell it to run, while the DOS version complains about not locating a necessary file.

Funny video criticizing Navi. Also has some great CGI work involving a Skulltula.
Well, I was going to talk about the symphony, but the whole King's Quest derail happened and I forgot about it.
