Thanks. Full video should be up by the end of the week. May not be on YouTube though, looks to be around 20 minutes and I can't really shave anything off. We'll see.
EDIT (as if anyone cared): Yep, YouTube still doesn't like me and schmooshed some images around again. Gah.
Also, I'm on page 5 of 6½ in the script and the running time's 12½ minutes. Definitely won't fit on YouTube unless I split it into two (and I'm a little loath to do that for reasons of laziness). Might do it for the PS3 guy though.
EDIT II: Start of Page 6 and I've broken the 15 minute barrier. YouTube version, if it comes at all, will probably have to wait until Sunday. Can't really cut anything out of this one.
It's literally a shade under 20 minutes, so I'll have to chop it in two and upload them to YouTube separately tomorrow, since it's nearly midnight now and I need my sleep. Enjoy!
I was only just re-watching 'Terminator 2' the other day, so it was a bit alarming to see how much Robert Patrick has aged.
It was interesting to hear that the scenes in the planes were filmed with the actors in actual flight. Before you said that I was thinking "wow, that's some impressive blue screen work!"
Also, that dialogue...
"Were you handling the 'stick'?"
"Every 'inch' of the way."
"Well, maybe you should take me for a 'ride' sometime. You know, see if you're as good as advertised."
Glad you guys enjoyed it! Did any of you spot the hidden saga with the toys? Go back and watch it again.
There will be a test at the end of it.
Currently splitting it into two so I can YouTube it, as well as working on a mini-video that's inspired by SHODANFreeman (but don't tell him or he'll get ideas).
Oh, and there's a video out there with every single scene featuring Nick Carter (this one here, in fact). If you ever feel the need to lower your IQ a few dozen points, it's worth a watch. Bear in mind you may need to then watch this video a few times to maintain your sanity.
Ahhh. Youtube. Blocking every crap in Germany. Like part 2 of your video.
Good that there was the blip version but who will continue the entirely pointless entirely pointless counter?
I forget Blip has to convert the videos into SD and LD versions once you upload it. Not entirely sure why it does that, but hey-ho, who am I to complain.
Also, YouTube version. This'll take a little longer to be ready, and most of the images will probably get royally butt-f**ked by YouTube, but the option's there all the same.
Just to say the YouTube version's up now. And, once again, YouTube's completely f**ked up the still images, which is MAJOR problem because there's an absolute ton of them in this video. GOD DAMMIT.
If you can, check out the Blip video, which doesn't have these problems. Seriously, I'm on the verge of giving up on YoUTube and going to Google Videos or something. Fed up of this s**t happening.

That's so stupid! Why are they doing this? If it's to do with copyright claims then they're not allowed to do this. You're entitled to use copyright material under the fair use act, for the purpose of critical opinion.
Great video by the way. As soon as you mentioned 'Gabriel Knight 3', I knew that you would refer to the mustache puzzle.
I don't remember a puzzle revolving around peanut butter in what I'm assuming is 'Runaway'. Could you elaborate please?
I also don't see what's so bad about that moustache puzzle.
Puzzles in Sierra games were always designed to be really hard so they can sell more hint books.

YouTube f**king up my videos. I've no idea why they do it. I don't actually think it's intentional, but I suspect that it's something to do with the uploading process just not liking still images. I'm going to try one or two other video sites like Veoh to see what they're like, because I've just plain had enough of YouTube doing this.
The 'Peanut and Butter' puzzle. At one point in the first Runaway game, you have to get some fireants to eat through a wooden shed. To do this, you need to lead them from their nest to the shed. One character mentions that fireants like Peanut Butter, and you find an empty Peanut Butter jar lying around.
The solution to the puzzle is to find some butter, pout it in an old army helmet, put that in the sunlight and let it melt, and then mix actual peanuts into it so that they melt into the mixture to create peanut butter.
As you might be able to tell, this is goddamn retarded. And it's not the only stupid puzzle from that game. Grr.
The shot at the 1 minute mark. That's some low-quality footage of my fidgeting around in VideoPad Video Editor, which is the software I use to put my videos together. It's meant to match the audio that "this is supposed to be a mini video type thingamajig" by showing me actually editing the video.
The moustache puzzle. It turns out this puzzle wasn't designed by Jane Jenson. Hell, it wasn't even supposed to be in the game at all! It was only included by the game's producer because they were short of time and couldn't get the actual puzzle (which involved using a hose to spray some feathers down from a bird's nest) working properly. That doesn't excuse how utterly terrible the moustache puzzle it, but it does explain it somewhat. More info here.
Far more so when you realize that Peanut Butter doesn't even contain butter.
Added the video on Veoh. Let me know what this is like!
EDIT: Don't bother, it suffers the exact same problem as the YouTube video. Maybe it is on my end... Weird. I'll try looking into it tomorrow after work, since it's pretty late now.

Hmm, it does sound like it's an issue on your end. What editing software are you using?
OK, I've recompiled the video with different resolution settings and as an AVI file rather than a MP4. I gotta get to work now, so if you guys could let me know whether this works or not (once it's fully uploaded) I'd appreciate it!
You don't have to watch far to find out if it works or not - there's an image of the 'Jurassic Park - The Game' logo about 40 seconds into the video. If it holds for more than a split-second, then the problem is solved. If you barely even notice it's there, then the problem remains, and I'll probably have to switch video editing programs
EDIT: Nope! Didn't work. F**k's sake. OK, I've had enough of this. Can anyone recommend any decent video editing software? Sony Vegas is the obvious choice, but that's horribly expensive, so any other suggestions?
I'm cool. Love nattering away with people over Steam Chat.
EDIT: Speaking of which, a certain big-headed know-it-all has pointed out that now the Blip video, which was working fine when I first uploaded it, is now doing exactly the same thing as the other ones.
...
FUCK.
I can't be arsed with this shit any more. The videos are fine before I upload them, and then they get all mangled up once they're uploaded and I have absolutely no bloody idea why. I give up. I just... I sodding give up.
I've gone through and made sure that every single image has some form of motion to ensure that none of the pictures mess up in playback. If this doesn't work then I really do give up.
I'll be taking a break from these videos while I try and summon up enough energy to find a different piece of video editing software. Don't wait up.

Ho ho. Great review as always.

Except for maybe this...
Nope. It's blocked.
An experiment I'm trying out. Lemme know what you think.

But I thought Germans loved the Hoff! XD
That's what the Hoff tells you. We hate him just as much as everyone else.

Do you mean the shot of the editing software?
I don't understand why that's in there either!

How the frak is that a good thing?!

Don't let it go to your head, if everyone IM'd me all the time they'd probably get credited too.
I don't think that you should have said that! Now your inbox is going to be flooded.

Well, let's fix that. Let's Assemble the Avengers!
EDIT: Blip version. Enjoy!
You know...after watching this I feel like having some Schwarma.
I missed a couple of those movies, and that was a pretty helpful catchup. Thanks!
