- the most important thing: No Vader Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
- So you secretly ARE Pepsiboy.
- I will not point out the red bottle behind you because I do have a real problem with the review. I don't care if you read it or the game does. That text is made of "skip me" the segment of you reading it was horrible.
- I avoided the Darth Vader NOOOOOO on purpose. Everyone does it, and I wanted to try and find some that weren't used as often. Also, it just didn't fit right. It's a different type of NOOO. I know, that sounds silly. Just trust me, it didn't fit. Plus, I got a clip from Dexter's Lab. How awesome am I?
- Pepsiboy? Wha?
- Yeah, the intro text was probably a mistake. But I really wanted to hammer home just how bad that intro was. When I said 11 minutes, I wasn't kidding. It's 11 minutes of the most boring, pointless cutscene ever. It's easily findable on YouTube if you want to check for yourselves. I possibly should have summed it up rather than read the manual text, but again, a point needed proving.
They've been done by far, far better ones than I. I believe the AVGN did the original NES Metal Gear. How can I compare to that? Besides, the whole experience of doing this has scared me off games for a while.
My next project'll be a TV show, FYI. Or rather, two. Ooo, cryptic.
Oh! And since I've got a mod on board, could you please rename this thread to:
"Madisun's Arc - Reviews by Darth Marsden"? Thanks!
OK, let's try that again and hope this one won't get buried.
I know I said my next review was going to be of a TV show, but I couldn't rip the video from the DVDs, so I've had to download them. And it was taking way too long, so instead I give you a CGI film with the voice of the 10th Doctor.
This is the full review, up on YouTube. It's not long at all, really. Probably my shortest yet. Hey ho. Make sure you read the description. Important information be there, and stuff.
I'll also be uploading a version onto Blip (with actual credits) sometime tomorrow. Or tonight. Depends on how long it takes to recompile, really. So yeah, enjoy!
Oh, and remember how I said it wouldn't be on YouTube? Yeah, I lied.
EDIT: Worth pointing out that I had to edit one or two things out of the YouTube version to drag it under the 15-minute mark. The credits are the most obvious thing, but I've also cropped the tram crash from Coronation Street and the scene of Ben Miller recounting a childhood experience. There was also a (in my mind at least) pretty funny post-credits scene featuring the Martine-Bot v3.1.
To see the full version, follow the Blip link, which isn't that much longer at around 16½ minutes.
No thoughts about the camera angle? Really? Oh well, not that it matters. I've gone ahead and stuck with it anyway. I like showing off how messy my desk is.
OK, how about another question. I still have the video footage I took of me playing through Drake. Do you think it's worth cobbling together and uploading as a Let's Play? Perhaps with some commentary from me?
Post commentary is always a bit tricky.
How long is it?
I would certainly watch it all. Also: there seem to be no LPs of this game. So doing a LP might actually make sense.
You raise your voice again. And you sound like you are speaking into a metal tube when you do. Also the difference in audio between clips & room-scenes is really bad this time (or maybe I'm just tired)
No, there is a difference. I don't know why, I recorded the audio in exactly the same place as the live-action stuff. Maybe it's because I'm facing a clipboard rather than the camera.
And yes, I'm angry. But that really is what this film made me.
Video's currently uploading to my Blip account, it should be up in about an hour. Provided my internet connection doesn't die overnight, which it may well do. I guess I'll find out in the morning.
The video's over 16 minutes long, so I'll have to do some tweaking to make it YouTube ready. I'll do that either tomorrow morning or afternoon, depending on how long it takes.
Also, I need to give thanks to SHODANFreeman, who helped me out immensely with his knowledge of the Punisher comics. There's a small, easily noticeable section I added in later that's directly attributable to his comments about the liberties the film takes with the comics, so huge thanks to him for his help with that.

(It's Mars as in the planet and Den as in a hideout. Everyone spells it wrong)
Thanks for that guys. Thread looks much more professional and stuff.
You never heard of this legendary member of this forum then?

Here's the first 3½ minutes of my next review.
I know there's a few flaws, but I've noted them in the description and they're already fixed in the full version.
EDIT: Wow, it's easy to get buried around here.

Well, I guess I'd better do another one, hadn't I?
EDIT: If anyone's at all curious, this one'll be around 17-18 minutes long. So it'll be on Blip.
Oh, and remember how I said it wouldn't be on YouTube? Yeah, I lied.

...that is all.
Is that character related to the wacky wavy flailing arms tube man?
(Because his arms spaz out all over the place. "WHOOO!!WHAAAOOO!!!MY ARMS DON'T WORK!" *BANG!BANG!BANG!*)
I dunno. I still think Super Bat and Spaderman are pretty cool dudes!
(If you don't agree with me, then I guess Robert Cop will have to take you down town to meet commisioner Star Knight!)
What do you guys think about the slightly different camera angle? Is it better?

And by way of a seamless link, here's a preview of a review.
And yes, I'm angry. But that really is what this film made me.
So this movie made you angry. I hope you never see My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic because that might turn you from good to evil.

Here's the Blip.tv link. Youtube version should be up by this afternoon (GMT).
