    I wish I could spare 100.
  • edited February 2012
That'd be awesome. Know anyone with deep pockets?
  • edited February 2012
I would pay $10,000,000,000 if I could afford it. $30 is all I can afford.

In under 1 hour, they've already got more than 1/10th of the backing. Including my own pledge.

They're almost at 20% now. I bet by the time I wake up tomorrow they'll be fully funded.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got at least double of what there asking for at the rate their going at currently.

    Nearly a fourth already.

Wow, between this and the recent conversation about Minecraft's Notch offering to fund Psychonauts 2, the future is looking pretty bright for longtime Schafer fans.

Already broken 10K with less than 2K backers. They'll be fully funded by midnight California time, I bet.

I really shouldn't with how tight my last paycheck was, but...how can I say no to this? Lemme get my wallet...

Can we do one of these for TellTale Games to get them to release the Sam & Max Season 3 Soundtrack? :p

I've backed it, 100 down easy, really happy at how fast this total has grown to! We're doing good.

    I wish I had $10,000.

    I wish I had 150000$.
  • edited February 2012
    Hell, that's worth £15 of anyone's money.

At $260,000 now and flying up at about $1000 a minute. I'll be putting in $30 when I get paid tomorrow.

    Honestly, I'd settle for $35,000.
  • edited February 2012
Definitely would if I could.... Sanctions... :(

...And we're past 300k as of a few seconds ago.
  • edited February 2012
A $30 from me added to the pile! :D

Does anyone know if we'll still be able to donate when they've reached their goal? If so, will we still reap the benefits? I'd love to be a part of the community, but I've got to wait a few days before I'll be anything more than broke.

"Q: What happens if you go over the goal?

A: The extra money will be put back into the game and documentary. This could result in anything from increased VO and music budgets to additional release platforms for the game."

I would assume everything is open and go until the 33 days are up.

/me throws something on the pile, I love these initiatives in games but also in music :) A nice counterbalance to the concept that everything should be 'free' or 'gratis'.
  • edited February 2012
Damn it, why must they reach 400k without meeeeeeeeeee
  • edited February 2012
    Aaaaand 330k.

    340,000!

This is gonna be awesome, a point&click adventure from Tim Schafer.

Finally, after decades of mostly mediocre adventures, misconceptions like direct control, uninspiring soulless pabulum for the brainless. If he also adds some sort of inventory puzzles, just wonderful, supported! Even if he fails, which i don't expect him to, this at least gives some hope and a fuzzy feeling in the belly.

    360,000!

    400k!

Now let's go for the Mac version and a overall increased quality of the adventure.

Sometimes I just love the internet!

Meanwhile Boris Schneider-Johne (these days he's working for Microsoft) who did the german translations for Maniac Mansion up to Indy 4 offered his services to translate the game for free.

So this took not even a day to reach the goal, right?
I'm in, I just need to find someone with a creditcard... I wish I could afford $100 to get the poster, but I'll settle with 30 instead :(
  • edited February 2012
It took eight hours to reach 400k.

Amazing. And seeing how there are still 33 days left and I'm sure not ALL adventure fans on the world saw this on day one, I wonder how much it will go over the 400k :O
