then perhaps they should have finished the game before they sold it and released one every two weeks.Surely they would at least of made half the game before going on sale i don't think that's good business practice if they only made one episode i cant see that myself.
If you follow TTG's Twitter feed, then you'll know they are hiring a lot of artists, programmers, etc. I figure they have been infected with the virus at headquarters and need to replenish the ranks.
Now, where's that Holmes picture for that deduction?

methinks the 'we hate ttg and will never spend money on them again' bandwagon is so full both axles have broke..

You knew it was episodic and also that it was monthly..... I'm pretty sure you would have had a look around the site too and seen that it how Telltale operate. You will also be aware that it is something that sets them apart from other game developers....
The fact is, pretty much everyone on here is waiting as well as hundreds who aren't on the forum.
The bottom line is that it'll be ready and released when it is ready, then you can whinge about it being 'buggy', 'too easy', 'too short', 'poor audio' or whatever else people find to whinge about on here. I've been playing TT games for quite some time and NEVER had any of these issues and long may it continue.......

the funny thing is flash DIDN'T look at anything he just saw twd and bought it with out thinking or doing any research but loads of people have done the exact same thing and like flash are a bitchin..

I guess there are a lot of blind gamers out there......
Seems I still have no proof against the notion that most people are a)stupid, b)ignorant and c)stupid and ignorant.
Never played a telltale game before but walking dead is certainly the last I will buy. If you advertise that a game will release episodes monthly then that is when they should release. Episode 2 is already 5 days past "a month" since episode 1's release with no update as to when it will arrive. Sad that on their own website Telltale has a fan forum with folks trying to guess when the release will be.
Lame, telltale....lame.

this is the first telltale game i have ever bought i never looked on the forums until today i bought it because i was a fan of the tv series and i dont care when it is released to tell the truth i have plenty of games to keep me busy im just saying perhaps they should of made the whole game first and released every two weeks .Anyway its a good game and im sure the next episode is around the corner.:):)
I think the worst thing about all this isn't that it's late, that often happens with games (though it's worse when a game is episodic like this), it's the fact that they haven't really communicated with us to let us know what the holdup is, or why there's a holdup. I think people would be much more understanding if TTG said 'look, this is the reason it's delayed, and this is the date we're hoping to have it out by'.
The bury their head in the sand approach is really shocking. Also, logically we must assume that the game wasn't complete, or even half complete, when they released the original episode. You'd think they would have the common sense to at least complete two or three episodes before releasing the first. I think it was a fair assumption for people to make that they had somewhere between 50-100% of the game complete. Again, terrible that that doesn't seem to be the case.
Poorly run company all-in-all, last time I'll be buying anything from them.

good attitude man i sooooo wish other newbies did the same cough tiger cough..
but two weeks isn't along time especially if people have limited bandwidth
so monthly is a fairer more balanced time even though it's longer and sucks

So you've never told someone you'd do something at a specific time, then been later than planned due to something?
Must have nothing better to do in your day huh?
Must have been so hard back when you couldn't download games and had to wait for the postman to arrive, sometimes days late, sometimes not at all as it got lost or delivered to the wrong place.......
Didn't realise there was a demo version, you sure you didn't torrent it eh?

XBLA version has a demo which consists of from going over The Queen's fence to leaving the Queens Neighborhood

Yes I have had to "be late" on things in life but never without telling my clients why. As far as nothing to do....I run two companies full time, a professional theatre company and a talent agency.... so deadlines are REAL in my world.
As far as waiting....the game isn't groundbreaking enough for me to really Care all that much....it is just bad business. My kids are the ones who have been checking Daily for the last week since the month ended. I don't like them being disappointed.

Surely a good life lesson for them is 'patience'.
If it was my kid, he'd be out playing and doing other stuff, he knows computers are not the be all and end all. Too many kids just sit in on the computer all day doing fuck all else nowadays.
I do believe there was a post made saying it was going to be June (hence the thread title)

letting kids play a zombie game clearly aimed at mature people?? and making them check for news on the game wow you the best parent in the world.....
i thought it was flash-900 again but wow you sound almost identical to him /her
Wow....you make a lot of assumptions.... you know dick about what my kids do or how active they are. Whatever. First time on a forum like this and probably the last. I was only intrigued to see if anyone else was frustrated by this. Not looking for random commentary by sheep who obviously don't understand the concept of good business practices. Enjoy the game my friend....and the wait.
Erm no assumptions, just comparisons Dir Sir.... At no point did any of my sentences begin with "your kids" or imply that they were caught in the US super cycle of lazyness and obesity.
I did however give you a small insight into the life of my parenting situation with my own son.
You chose to take it they way you did for your own reasons, even if that was on a sub conscious level.

lol ttg have done this episodic release format for 6 years..yes they have had issues and hit a few road bumps along the way, but when they have to put up with petty small minded idiots who do not do any research like us smart people do...common freaking sense...is clearly a rare trait nowadays.
Isn't the game an 18? If so, then you are technically breaking the law.....
*Edit* - why did you delete the post about your kids being 17 and 14?
Oh btw, I am about as far from being a 'sheep' as you can be fella. And thank you, I will enjoy the game.....and the wait...... just working my way through a fantastic book, splits the time nicely.

We're sorry mr. Mike our boredom is overcoming our Civility
yup we are sorry but it's hard to remain calm and polite with certain types of people...
also mike can you please give us some info on ep2 if it's not too much trouble pretty please with a cherry and some whipped double cream maybe some chocolate sprinkles on top ?
I'm glad Tigerfish20 was banned tbh, he did chat a fair bit of bollocks.
Randomly, based on the information in his posts and his username, I found him on Twitter, 2 pictures of his kids, defo not 14 and 17 though, more like 7 and 10...... not really TWD demographic.
Why not just admit the game is for him and he didn't like waiting.....?

Haha, I know what you mean. The fun of working nights for me though.....
Stolen a quote from Tigerfish20's Twitter, spot the irony.....

Before you react, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you criticize, wait.
Before you pray, forgive.
Before you quit, try.”

Come on now. Mike, don't take this offensively, but you really expect a flame war not to happen? Even more so, now we see that you guys ARE watching this forum and instead of giving us any comfort or SOMETHING, you can only ask not to do any personal insults?
You posting at all is only going to frustrate people more, if you don't give us some type of answers.
How about a little love for TT putting out such an awesome first episode instead of all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the 'delay' of the second issue? :0) This is the first game I've played, hence I have no experience w/ the way TT releases their games, but I understood that it was episodic, that I was paying for all 5 episodes in advance, and there wasn't a list of release dates - therefore, I wait patiently.

Finish the game so you can deliver the Consumer what they paid for and are expecting.

Ah cool, rarely bother looking for demos, if I have sufficient interest, I'll make a purchase, if not, i'll go without....
