While my irritation may have cooled slightly, I am without a doubt never paying up front for an "episodic" game like this considering this experience. If it were a per episode price, that would be fine, but not for a whole season. Pretty much Tell Tale is just sitting on my 25 bucks and could be vacationing in Hawaii for all I really know.
Essentially we just paid for a Kick Starter project without being aware of it. I'm all for Kick Starter, but it's awesome to know up front what the deal is. So yeah, while I've highly enjoyed the Sam & Max games and the first episode of TWD, I won't be buying their stuff until an entire "season" has been released.
There's really only two options get a refund or wait. I don't see why people think complaining will ever change things.
Actually, complaining almost always seems to work. Squeaky wheel gets the grease and all that jazz. Not doing or saying anything in a situation is guaranteed to accomplish nothing though.
Didn't want to quote your whole post Dirty, so I'll keep it brief. Well said BTW
Jake actually said a bit more in this thread than you have posted, that said, still no definite date, no explanation, nothing more than a little communication (which did somehow make me feel a little better). They ARE refunding money, they ARE returning emails to support, Both of which I have personally tested, but again, no real answers.
I by NO MEANS am a TTG fan or try to defend them, I was led in by the IP. I am a TWD junkie plain and simple. I was outraged weeks ago and now I'm just tired...tired of waiting, tired of the silence, just tired.
I feel your pain brother, but more than anything, I wanna play this god damn game. So, I will Lemming up, and wait I guess:(:(:(:(
Haha fuck capnjay fuck the stupid ass mod on here fuck all of you retarded ass bitches you all are PATHETIC spending all your time on here you make me sick thats prolly why yall are fat disgusting pigs who will never feel a womens touch except youre mom haha @ell looks like im getting banned so peace out hoe ass dudes o and suck a dick lol fuck u nerds 2 times

Hey Capnjay, that badass mod and all others, I'm sick. Fat, disgusting pigs never feel a woman's touch, except if you're a mom (that part I'm not sure about getting it right). Looks like I'm getting a banana, it would peace out my a** dudes. Oh and I suck a dolly and then I feed her two times.

Found out a minute ago and am looking forward to it... and to a lot more tourette dudes as well (for ME3 at least).
Where do I get my refund? I figure it will be a little complicated getting one since I purchased the game through Steam, but I no longer want this company to have my money.

As you made your contract with steam, your money is with steam. Try blowing your steam off on steam, I heard they've got a super team...
EVERYONE PLEASE TWEET @RobertKirkman and tell him NOT to use Telltale Games for ANYTHING having to do with ANY of his future intellectual properties. I know I am.
call the bet, but please do it. tell all your friends to do it. and then once you've done it, do it again a couple of days later and tell your friends to do it again a couple of days later.
I dont think i'll tell robert kirkman not to use TTG he's going to be watching the game, if it turns out against his vision then he'll denounce it himself if the end product is something he's proud of then he's not going to give a crap about your tweets. you'd be better off tweeting to people about the delays and trying to spread the word to get people to not buy the game. not that it matters ME3 EC DLC is on the 26th and Dawnguard may be out soon and new Penny Arcade adventures game. so your tweets are spitting in the wind. terrible timing huh?

I realize that you're pretty angry, so am I. I'm in agreement with you for the most part except for one thing. TellTale seems to be following the spirit of the series really well. It's pretty early to know if they'll stick with it but I can't see another company doing this series justice.
I really don't want another watered down, T.V. series type production. That's the reason I haven't tried to get a refund. (#100 is really freakin' soon too)
EDIT: Dude, what? They announced the ME3 Extended Cuts release date?

I'll Agree that Robert probably does love the finished (for lack of a better term) product. But would he appreciate the way the fans of his IP are being treated?? Robert and and everyone involved in creating his comic have been awesome at communicating release info and overall interacting with the fans (Letter hacks). He is not afraid to print opposing views and I don't think in 99 issues I have ever read a fans comments that were negative regarding time delays or communication.
He might care to see the forums here and take note that the majority of postings are of negative nature.
Just out of curiosity, when Episode 2 is released did I understand correctly that this thread goes away? If so, would Telltale employees go through it at any point?
The funny thing about this whole "game delay" situation is that Episode 2 is supposed to take place 3 months after the events of Episode 1. Looks like maybe they want us to get the full experience of the game by living it out in real time. It's gonna be about 3 months after Episode 1 came out. lol
Inb4 one-year events gap. ಠ_ಠ
Haha. I'm beginning to enjoy the delay for this reason. If I have forgotten a choice I made, then I have to live with what I do remember. (Unless I replay the game, but I don't want to do that until all five episodes are out.) Fun experience!

Like on TV Shows, TTG said that they will include a "previously, on TWD..." so don't worry about that, Episode 2 will remember for you your choices. xD
nobodys going to be able to afford Episode 2 when it comes out I can imagine all the Devs sitting behind the computer screen that lists sales ratios and seeing only a few dollars trickle in they begin to panic and blame each other for this failure then one of the devs in the corner says "Uh Guys... The new Skyrim DLC, Penny Arcade Game, and Mass Effect 3 Extended Ending DLC Just released. So people are spending 800 points on Dawnguard and 800 points on Penny Arcade and they have nothing to spend on us." thats why im saving 400 points just for Ep2

I'll just have to skip through it then. c: (I seriously do want to enter the game with what I remember. I think it will heighten the immersion for me.)

I read this and wondered....maybe rockstar? red dead redemption and the GTA series we're always awesome. I've always thought they've done a decent job with dialogue.

Episode 2 will be coming out next week, I hope. Though I am gradually becoming more and more worried as June's final days tick by without so much as a peep from Telltale (save for Jake's post). I figure that at this point it is best to save any disappointment until after the following week, when we go into July.
Here's hoping we hear SOMETHING sooner than later!
Preferably something definitive regarding an official release AND further information regarding an actual release schedule for the remaining episodes.
Also to all the people who brought the season pass (lucky for me I did not) and want a refund have you actually emailed telltale support about this?
Or are you all talk and still planning on getting episode 2?
I'm sure most whiners will actually get ep 2 - 5 instead of trying to get a refund what's very sad after all this complaining and if you have emailed telltale about a refund how did it go?

why would anyone get a refund its a awesome game just cause something happend and they had to postpone the release give them a break. maybe there legal team told them not to say anything until they know for sure, we don't know what happened and why just be patient
To be honest, I still think $25 is a really cheap price. I would have paid $50 easily for the season- no question about that. It's just that amazing and unlike anything I've ever seen.
funny people complain about no ttg comments and news of any form and when jake came on of his own free will to give us a little brief info to clarify end of june.
what happens ? people still complain about him saying something...yes it was vague yes some of us already knew that.. yes he could of said more... but when will people look at the bigger picture ?
as for kirkman tweets what if he is actually another reason for the delay hmmmm ? he saw something he didn't like or wanted to add something ? (snowblind)
Hope not. Mass Effect 3 extended cut DLC is released then.
People are actually going to play the extended cut? I was going to youtube it and see what sort of high def colors each ending had, just to see what all the "clarity" fuss was about.

Btw the only connection I have with the characters right now is my money.

What he actually wanted to say was:
Hm... I'm sure, it meant something like that.
Note to episodic game developers: DO THAT!
They don't just say, "Watch our awesome new show every Thursday night" and when Thursday rolls around... dead air, and no comment about why.
how long before I win and you have to pay me $10?

If they read your post, I hope they're reading how pissed everyone is about this lateness.

I'm gonna win this thing at any cost!!!

My guess.
Normal ending, plus surviving crew members.
"Sheperd was a good man."
OR
"Sheperd was a jerk, but still a soldier"
END!
