The problem is, and I have certainly learned from my mistake, that we paid money upfront and expected the product in a reasonable amount of time.
To be fair, Telltale has always done that and never had really screwed up on this level. Take of that what you will, but I hope this shows telltale its time to switch up how they do episodic games as its clearly no longer working in their favor.
I just want to state this message right here again.
Here's a message to Telltale. If companies like Microsoft want to drag their heels in some weird display of power and control, don't make product for their units. Let them press their faces against the glass while their customers complain about abbreviated (because that's what this is) release dates. That way you don't lose business because so many people are turned off the experience that they walk away. I mean, how many people are going to pay up front for the next game that you offer in installment now? I know I'm not. I'll wait what will likely amount to a year of release dates and probably a sale, before I throw down some cash on these types of games anymore.
THIS!
I want to point out one thing here.
Telltale, this is the THIRD time you've been screwed over by MS because you tried to put your games on their consoles. Yes, THIRD TIME! Wallace and Gromit had episode 1 out on 360, and god knows how long of a wait for the other 3(they released on time for PC though), the next was Jurassic Park which had to lose its episodic nature, and while some may prefer that, the quality dropped massively because telltale couldn't take any feedback for the next 4 episodes.
For gods sake telltale, learn from your mistakes and release it on 360 as a whole thing after its all over instead of screwing over your loyal PC and PS3 fans.
Haha. I'm beginning to enjoy the delay for this reason. If I have forgotten a choice I made, then I have to live with what I do remember. (Unless I replay the game, but I don't want to do that until all five episodes are out.) Fun experience!
Ok I was a bit harsh b4 I suppose, I just feel like I have been cheated. The Game is a 10/10 but if TTG wants to appease their customers they would release Episode 2 AND 3 in the same update.(yeah right)
funny people complain about no ttg comments and news of any form and when jake came on of his own free will to give us a little brief info to clarify end of june.
what happens ? people still complain about him saying something...yes it was vague yes some of us already knew that.. yes he could of said more... but when will people look at the bigger picture ?
as for kirkman tweets what if he is actually another reason for the delay hmmmm ? he saw something he didn't like or wanted to add something ? (snowblind)
the message didn't even clearly say "june" for sure. He said they still don't know ,but they are hoping....hoping is not confirming

I understand the feeling, but if there's a delay of episode 2, about the last thing they CAN do is to release episodes 2 and 3 simultaneously. I could imagine that TTG possibly feels compelled to supply other delay compensations though... like free games or the PC/Mac Season DVD... I would like that!
The big problem here is if they take to long people will stop giving a crap and then the game will lose support. It's just like when they start a great show and they have large gaps between seasons. Eventually people stop caring and the show get's cancelled. Stupid, but it happens all the time.
In my opinion, the problem is that I was led to believe that the game would be released in MONTHLY installments. So when May came, and there was Part 2, it was frustrating. And what's the deal with not giving a release date? If we knew when the game was coming out, it would relieve alot of the frustration.
All those people threatening legal action are never going to go through with it. The judge would probably laugh at them and tell them to stop wasting the court's time.

I would agree with you mostly, but the Die Hard fans of the IP (myself included) are probably willing to wait indefinitely (unfortunately). That said, I have sent emails to TTG and Steam, voiced my disappointment here ( more than once), blew off some steam at steam forum (and if you think your getting the cold shoulder over here, try steam), cried into my pillow, screamed out loud, Kicked the dog (jk), etc.
But yes, the new fans of TWD will probably (imo) have almost no problem turning away from this game if the delays last much longer.
Can we do a poll to see who thinks this is funny??
Neither funny nor original. In fact, it's been done to death in previous games and it always targets those new to Telltale. I've put up a release date FAQ for episode 1 (which will be a template for the second episode release date as well) which threatens these kind of "jokes" with an immediate 24 hour ban. Things that are not really funny today can be absolutely unacceptable on actual release days.
For everyone bitching about lawsuits and protests, I say put your money where your internet muscles are. If you haven't bought the season pass and are doing one episode at a time, wait a week, maybe 2 before putting your money down to download it. Let them know you mean business and make their numbers suffer for the 1st week or 2. But you'll all cave the second it comes out so please just stop with the nonsense. My 2 pennies worth.

Good luck if you're on pc, its season pass or nothing. I bought this because people said it was a great experience and monthly episodes sounded neat. It was my first "episodic" purchase. I guess I could write angry emails or rant and rave but as usual its best to just vote with your wallet. I am neither a fan of telltale games nor the walking dead so I will have no difficulty not buying any more games from them and when asked I will advise my friends against buying from them obviously.
They p much deserve every ounce of vitriol they get. If you cannot deliver monthly, don't promise monthly, its that simple. If they would have stated there will be four more episodes that will come out whenever the mood strikes us I would have made my buying decision accordingly. Which means I would not have bothered with release and just waited for the collection to inevitably go on sale. As such I feel conned.
What with being locked in I'm gonna play the rest of the episodes anyway though. I already plaid for them after all.
Also wtf "you'll all cave", how patronizing can you be? Not everyone is is fanboy baby with negligible willpower.

Yeah, I feel you... but the release will be out soon, so hang on in there.
Well since they only have a weak left...

On another day, Milo, on another day. But I definitely understand what those jokes do to people who eagerly wait for episode two.

I very rarely comment, but I had to for this.
So here it is:
lol
question why would a third party know before the official forums/blog ?
hmmm
"Telltale has announced..." what?! Where?!
it's fake as can't see anything else around that agree's with it
unless it's leaked info ?
