While browsing these forum's I've noticed several Telltale staff/designers have posted on various threads and though I'm sure some must have looked at this one. Are we again not going to be given any sort of notice about when EP3 is to be released?
Even if they cant provide a specific date, perhap's a note say'ing they are aiming for a general date, or a status update?
When I browse this thread, I really do kinda skim past all the post's here looking for any actual Telltale member who may drop a note.
I would even be happy with a comment from someone official just saying why they wont give us release info.
For many of you, the most important thing is to let you know when the next episode (Episode 3: Long Road Ahead) will be available, and although we can't give you an exact date at this time, we can say that episode three will be ready in the middle of August, and that we and our partners will do all that we can to release all platforms and regions as close together as possible.
Here's hoping that 'ready' mid-August means 'released' mid-August so we don't get another, "We're finished! Just wait a few weeks for certification..." Fortunately, other games exist, making the wait not as terrible as it could be.
Did something majorly game-breaking happen during Ep 2's development that has pushed back the overall progress of the game? I can see (and I'm happy/impressed) that they are super-confident that Ep 3 will be out mid-August because it means that they expect to have made up half a month in Ep 3's development time. If they get fully back on track (i.e. monthly release schedule, as initially planned) after 3, the final episode will be released just as The Walking Dead Season 3 begins on TV.
TT said that episode 3 was going to be ready in the middle of August. We don't know if that's the release date. I'm still putting my bet on August 30th.

Sorry to tell you this but are you illiterate or something ?
TTG didn't say it will be out mid August but they're working on it and fighting and striving to get it done by that time. It's not a confirmation but rather an estimate.
I hope all you complainers that complained about ep2 are happy now that TTG HAVE made an apology for it and as they said, "we will strive to improve our communication with you so that you know what’s happening".
so....i was thinking...i saw the Kenny and Lee going back to the drugstore (i don't know if the rest of the group is with them) so by any chance could they meet a zombie Carley/Doug....? that is what i was thinking...
IGN says Episode 3 will release Mid-August.... BuDaWaHuH? I thought the two month delay was a only a one time thing for the gap between Episode 1 & 2, like Back to the Future? What's going on? I'm getting worried with what's seeming to be more and more lack of information from Telltale.

Telltale released a blog post about this, so they did inform us this time.

Oh wow... Thanks Gman! Usually I check the blog when I come on. Admitly I came on in a bit of a rage mode to write a thread about the new Walking Dead FPS. (Which you beat me to... )

Makes sence to me.. At the end of EP1, Doug/Carley was lost to the walkers, so I would expect to see either one zombified.
So its not every month episodes but every two? *sigh* I suppose we got told this time. I still dont see any apology or anything. Its like all the delays and upsets didnt happen. They thank us for our patience but never say sorry...
so what the hell? a helicopter hit the macon drug store that was the main setting for one in part three?
I noticed the drugstore was in ruin's but I didnt see how it got that way.. was it a helo crash? I'll have to go back and play EP2 again just to see the comming soon for EP3 to see if I can tell what happened!

Ha. Episde two was meant to be ready end of May XD So i wont hold my breath. Still bad conduct for them to still advertise monthly releases when obviously its not. Half a month difference or not.

P.S: I haven't even played ep2 yet xD
I am having a difficult time finding an apology in here. I see where they say they are going to strive to "improve" communication, which would point to the fact that they are building on something that was already there. There was NO communication for a very long time, so again, I see NO apology there.
I do however appreciate they are trying to be a little more proactive in communicating.
Oh well, awesome game, just hoping to get a little better heads up this next time around.

Exactly! Least someone else can see they have never apologised to us!

Well in all fairness a statement about wanting to improve communication and giving an estimated release time is more useful to me than an apology.
Episode 2 was great and if they need to delay episode 3 as well to maintain the high quality that is fine with me as long as they communicate it to us in time as their statement says is their goal.
How can you improve on something that wasnt there in the first place? There was no communication.
I need DjNDB to put that in sufficiently mathematical terms, but of course you can improve in an area where you formerly were at, say, 0%. It's just that you could not measure growth with absolute numbers because that would always be infinity.

This is all I wanted for the last episode. This makes me a happier gamer boy!
Middle of August, huh? I can wait. More importantly, TT did give a window for the release date early on.
WOOOOT!
Thank You Telltale for that!

Now, that's my boy!
Mid August sounds good! Should we restart the guessing game?
Weeeeellll... I think there still is guessing to do.

Noooo, noooo, noooo. That would only be one and a half. Fingers crossed!
But don't worry, counting right doesn't bring satisfaction:
Best example for "hasn't understood the episodic concept" ever.

Thank you TTG, thats all you needed to do.
I feel al warm and tingly inside now.
EDIT: August 30th it's my bet.
Mid-August would be one and a half months.
Wasn't episode 2 "ready" in late May?

Helicopter crash? Woodbury foreshadowing!

What I get is probably going to effect how I treat the other survivors or try to push Duck off of the speeding train.
