Later everybody. Im done. Fuck this game fuck TTG. I hope everybody is willing enuff to walk away from this shitty company likeI am. Goodbye. Itsbeen fun all.
I'm sure this has probably been said a million times, but I just have to post my thoughts about it.
As a business, Telltale blows. No other gaming studio would allow this to happen. Blizzard would never allow this, EA wouldn't allow this, Valve wouldn't allow this, nobody. When I say "allow this," I'm speaking on delaying a game and giving it's customers zero information on what's going on and why it's being delayed. Is there a problem uploading the game to Steam/XBL/PSN? Let us know. Was there a bug last minute that one of the testers caught and it could have potentially deleted your save file and you need to spend another day fixing it? Let us know..Telltale doesn't do that, that just stay silent and don't inform anybody. Wanna know another company that stays quiet about their issues and when they've done something wrong? EA. And you know how everybody feels about EA.
Some people here, including myself, have had the game pre-ordered before Episode 1 was even out. We were told we we're going to receive new episodes once a month..that shit went down the drain immediately after Episode 1 was released. Honestly, that's not even a big deal. One episode every month and a half or 2 months, it doesn't matter. As long as there's A DATE FOR US TO LOOK FORWARD TO. If your favorite games expansion was supposed to come out September 1st, but for some reason it didn't, and the developers didn't tell you why or when to expect it, how would you feel?
This is probably all things you've guys heard before, but..The Walking Dead is a great game, and has caught a lot of mainstream attention. This game has definitely shown me Telltale can make good games, and I will be buying future Telltale games, regardless of the terrible image they portray of themselves with the delays of Walking Dead. BUT...I'll tell you this, I will NEVER pre-order a Telltale game again in my life. If I would have known the game was going to release on consoles before PC/MAC, or be delayed on PC/MAC without any information as to WHY it's being delayed, I would have never preordered the game and just bought the episodes as they came.
Telltale has now lost a pre-order customer, and potentially a future customer in general if they continue to handle their errors in the way they've been doing.

I love these kinds of walls of frustrated text being posted when the launch of an episode has missed its stated ETA by 30 minutes (on one specific platform).

@kev0587, you're definitely right about Blizzard/Valve/etc. They definitely wouldn't allow this.
I've seriously been doing nothing the past few hours, besides refreshing TTG's twitter and these forums. It's kind of disappointing- I'm really patient, don't get me wrong, but tweeting and making announcements for everyone and getting our hopes up.. then nothing?
As I recalled didn't they do something like this with the last EP? And they didn't explain anything? I don't know. I could be mistaken.
What do you think they do? It's a collection of files which are uploaded to a distributor. And as for their own system, they "click" and make the files "available" for download. Do you think they're coding the game now? Geez! Don't overrate the work they do on release date. Most companies get it done and uploaded days ago and just set it to be available at a certain time.
I must say, the Broken Sword 5 Kickstarter forum is a much more pleasant place to be tonight that the Telltale forums... and that game isn't arriving until April next year!
At this point, I'm more inclined to blame Valve than TTG, and the fact that Origins has the episode out first just speaks volumes about the company. I remember about six years ago, when I loved Valve to death; sure they made mistakes, but they always did their best and the positives generally outweighed the negatives. In the last few years, all they do is delay games, release crappy sequels with virtually no new content, and avoid creating any new IPs or releasing sequels that anybody actually wants.
I'm just kinda... I'm disgusted. I'm gonna go take a shower. Eugh.

Meh. Its probably just distribution methods. Seriously not much to complain about when there is a few hour difference between releases on three platforms.

This is rather sad but us Steam users did get boned. I don't recalled who said it earlier on a post but its true. Steam has TWD game for sale and Telltale games seems to be greedy. Apparently we won't get the game until the Sale on Steam is over.
That sale has been going on even before they announced the release date. So that makes no sense at all, they could have simply said release for Steam owners Thursday afternoon.
This can't be the reason, but if it is, that is just disgusting and i will be an advocate against TTG on integrity alone

Actually, it missed its stated ETA by about two months, heh.
April 24th is EP1 release, May 24th should have been EP2 release and June 24th should have been when EP3 released.
Just because they give new dates doesn't mean the original agreement wasn't broken and they aren't playing "catch up."
August 24th should have been the release of the final episode; so, even if they released 4 and 5 next time, those would still be late.
LOL ^ this...more so because..this is really an interactive pop up book than a game. Here's a good scenario for patience..I've been waiting for a game to come out..that is finally coming out in Feb. - Since reading the comics back in like 92 and was pissed off that a 12 series comic book was dropped to just ten issues...anyone know what game? This comic book also had an ad about a movie that didn't come out for about a decade later...which had to be the worst peice of shit created...anymore hints needed?

No, no, no, sir. If it was just a few hours' difference I'd be thrilled. Friends of mine that bought the game on PSN have had the new episode beaten for about eight hours now - possibly longer, depending on how late they were willing to stay up. Point is, I'm fairly certain it's been at least twenty hours since most consumers have been able to play the game; we Steam users, on the other hand, have been sitting here twiddling our thumbs for the better part of a day. It's just absurd.
This sucks. By the time I can finally download it my power will be out and internet down from Hurricane Isaac. I was hoping to play through this before the storm hit my neighborhood, but that looks like it's not going to happen now.

That is amazing! Very neat!
Actually, Steam had it first for Ep 1, and TT itself was last. Just an FYI
Sure but because he was talking about not giving any reason for the delay, I assumed he just meant this delay tonight.
Valve actually do. TellTale just isn't cool enough
