Who didn't buy it from steam? Unless everyone here bought it from Steam, than your probably right. Not trying to be a jerk but hey, who doesn't use steam these days for computer gaming. Anyone out there actually buy directly from telltale? lol

Exactly how I felt last month when I was told I'd have to wait two extra days to play what everyone else was playing. You're bad at logic bro

Remember when episode 2 launched ps3 users had to wait a extra 2 days and they didn't mind too much, and it was even broken at launch?

I'm really, honestly shedding tears to all the entitled Steam children on the forums, please, keep making lawsuits that will never happen, please, keep demanding more refunds because it's not exactly on time right when you want it, and please, keep calling telltale greedy and coming up with bullshit theories that you know are made up on the spot. It's hilarious.

Edit: I'm tempted to clip together a bunch of posts and edit babies all over the image; because it about sums it up. Or maybe just a big tag that says "idiots" on it.

If you pay for something, you are entitled to it. I don't know what planet you are from.
By the way, I'm not even one of the mad ones. I'm patiently waiting and cracking jokes. lol

If you enjoy the game, then it's worth the wait. Just waiting shouldn't kill your enjoyment. I mean really. I understand an episode was supposed to be released each month, but 2 months isn't that bad. And now just a few more hours or so..Yeah,not bad at all.

A few more hours for people who have already paid months ago for this content only to be constantly handed bullshit delays and absolutely no communication equals

They knew what the problem was though and Telltale communicated the delay, what was happening, and didn't just keep posting times then missing them without saying a word to the customers. Again you have to remember most of us here already paid for the game yet have nothing to show for it because of this nonsense.

I'm upset but not at the level others are here. There's no reason to boycott a company or act like this isn't a great game, but Telltale could definitely improve their communication abilities with customers and better plan out how this goes.

This is the easiest to develop for platform with the easiest version to distribute yet every time Telltale has issues getting the PC version out the door on time. What gives? Something isn't going smoothly over at Telltale and it happens every time so let's figure out the issue and fix it to smooth out this process.

Guy above me, the PS3 version on launch didn't let you import saves or boot episode 2 properly at all. Telltale had to rush to patch it for us. It wasn't anything major and only took a hour but still. Was exclusive to the console.

Exactly how I felt last month when I was told I'd have to wait two extra days to play what everyone else was playing. You're bad at logic bro

Also lol I'm talking about the ps3 and someone called me a xbox noob; great trains of thought here.

Well don't act like none of us appreciate how you feel. I thought it was shit for you at the time and now I think it's shit for me. You are entitled to be as entitled as I am. While your situation was much crappier, this situation is also very crappy.

Can't we all just be angry together?

I hate that people keep slinging the word entitlement around when that is not the case.

It makes me want to pull a Kenny from episode 2.

So uh; nothing to say then? Someone proves a bad statement wrong so must be a troll?

    Let's see
    Episode 2
PC/Xbox: Launched on tuesday if I recall. Pretty early too.

PS3: It took them what; till Thursday or Friday in the afternoon, and when it launched no one could play it anyway for the first hour or two?

    Now let's see
    Episode 3
PS3: Got it first yesterday neat

PC/Xbox: Got it today (or getting it in steams case)

TOTALLY GREEDY SELL OUTS WHERE IS IT I WANT IT PAY ATTENTION YOU SELL OUTS!!!!

Grow up; I understand it's frustrating to have to wait longer but threatening to sue telltale and come up with greedy theories that literally make no sense in the slightest is insane and childish.

Maybe they will make a special Steam episode 6 to compensate!

NintendoBoy, that's why they should have done that days ago when they told all the gaming websites and magazines that they have "allegedly" finished the product and told the distributors so they were trying to set a release date. And here we are...

That's neither here or there. There's alot of things that should've been done. Things that shouldn't have been promised. Fact is, none of that could be changed now. I'm just saying that uploading a game to a server isn't some kind of vacation.

I wonder if this is due to the sale that Valve has on it.
  • edited August 2012
Personally I am not saying we should boycott the company nor do I feel a sense of entitlement. I just feel like I paid for something, was promised its release and now no communication about what's happening. I don't feel it's right for a company to do that.

Yeah, and you should know that when you get into a car there's a potential you'll get into a terrible car accident. But if it happens, you won't like it will you? Extreme example but the point is the same: this sort of shit should NOT happen. This is ridiculous treatment of a prepaid customer base.

Bad crap can happen at any point in time to anyone, but that's a inapplicable straw man argument at best. Try again.

    Get off your high horse.

I'm sorry but it seems you are singling out certain people because they use a client then making up a stereotype that these users sue people? You give people a profile page and a place to socialize what do you expect to happen? Specially in the gaming community. I bet out their people are boycotting F2P games.

    Something is out of whack.

I submitted a ticket 2:00 est yesterday asking steam when the game will release.

    They still haven't replied.

Could it be that they're not sure?

i dunno whats worse all this for ep3 or the ep4/ep5 delay rage ?

all the choices the sadness and the horror (these are speculation)

I know, but still TTG is guilty for being 3 months and a week late with the release anyway.

At least even Blizzard announces what's wrong, acknowledges that they are working on it, gives an ETA and apologizes properly when things go wrong. These guys... I feel like they don't even care since they already made us pay for the whole season instead of allowing us to pay per episodes. What if I was disappointed with the game at the first episode and didn't want to pay for the rest? Allowing it on one platform and not on the other, releasing it on one platform but not the other are just signs of them taking dirty money from Sony and Microsoft for console superiority and abusing us PC gamers.

Interesting... I wonder if there was some of the 'B' word going around between Telltale and EA.

We are entitled. I paid for the game, I want to play said game. Everyone else has said game but US. What if I take offer a meal which you pay for and then serve everyone else in the restaurant first and won't give you yours until after everyone has left? You would be pissed. Same applies here.

The fun thing is with each episode come more players and thus more forumites.

Now for every 4 forumites 3 are trolls or ragers.

    This is being generous.

An indicator of what is to come.

I expect them to voice complaints! It's totally reasonable! when I heard my platform was getting shafted for a couple days I just snapped my fingers and said "Man gonna have to avoid certain internet threads for a few days!" and moved on, picked up my ds or whatever I had laying around and went on my way.

What is unreasonable is to sign up and make a account on the official forums and type up a essay on why Telltale is the devil for being late, and how THIS IS THE LAST STRAW and whining because something didn't go right right away.

If you're a dude who's a bit miffed, it's fine, if you're handling it like a mature person, i.e just waiting around or talking about it that's fine, but when you're calling a entire company shitlords and scam artist, that isn't alright.

Also don't act like I'm signaling people out, I haven't really focused on Steam at all in any of these posts jeeze.

Telltale, stop taking release advice from Valve. There is a reason they've never released a game with a 3 in the name, you don't have the Curse of the Gaben.

    Whatevs.

I'll be mad if it doesn't at least come out tonight though.

If they make us wait until tomorrow, man wtf

    >:O

That's like a pizza delivery service telling you "The pizza will be here at 8 oclock" - then them showing up tomorrow at noon.

Bad example, man. You'll trying to compair a car wreck, something that is actually harmful to one's life,to the delays of a video game, something harmless. This waiting won't kill you... This example just doesn't work. Your argument is invalid.
