Don't assume game will be late because episode 2 was late. I think this episode if something really doesn't come up, will come from 14th to 20th ..
Hopefully as early as possible, because I'm so desperate for Walking Dead <3

Game is already late, it's been longer than a month since episode 2 came out. Let's hope it is not later than they announced.

Right?? 21 posts. I bet at least 19 of them are either whiny or negative in some way. Just the way some people are, have to have something to complain about.

    "The game is LATE!!" *tear*

Loved Episode 2 but starting to get scratchy for Episode 3 now.

Going on holiday soon so if Ep 3 is out very middle of August will miss it but will be eagerly awaiting it when I get home. Roll on Episode 3 and more Walking Dead.

Call me whiny if you want, 2 months is toooooo long to release a game where your choices make a difference in the following episodes! Call it a senior citizen moment but it's hard for me to remember all the choices I made after 2 months it takes a little away from the game. Don't get me wrong I love this game but don't think I will ever buy from telltale agan.

You can't remember something from 2 months ago? And I thought I was bad lol

Also.. If Telltale releases a game that you're interested in in the future you are going to pass on it to make a point?

I don't understand this thinking honestly. It's like this whole boycotting Chic fil a thing. Just because the owner is a hater doesn't mean I'm going to deny myself a damn good chicken sandwich to make a point.

    2months between ep1 and ep2

    6 WEEKS APPROX between ep2 and ep3..

    i agree with jaybreezy..

Telltale had said that they would release episode 2 for the iOS within the next few weeks. I think it would be nice for episode 3 to be released within that time.

I can still remember most of it, but every little detail, no I can't. And I'm glad for you that you can, but not everyone is as "gifted" as you I guess.
Also.. If Telltale releases a game that you're interested in in the future you are going to pass on it to make a point?

That's called standing up for what you believe in.

This poster feels betrayed by the company for not fulfilling their promises, so he is going to choose to not trust them again and give them his money. Sorry, bro, but this isn't rocket science. I'm glad that you are fine with the way telltale is handling things, but not everyone can just let the lack of communication and the holdups on new episodes go.
I don't understand this thinking honestly. It's like this whole boycotting Chic fil a thing. Just because the owner is a hater doesn't mean I'm going to deny myself a damn good chicken sandwich to make a point.

But of course you wouldn't, because you don't understand standing up for what you believe in.

If you feel strongly about something, you have every right to choose to stand up for that. If he feels let down by telltale and wants to make his stand by not giving them any more of his money, that's his choice, and i'm guessing a lot of other people who are new to telltale will follow in his footsteps.

The chic-fil-a thing, if you don't understand that, then you just aren't too bright of a guy. If someone believes strongly in the gay community having the right to marry, and the owner of this company funds places that directly dispute that and actively try and stop them from having those rights, then it is not only wise on their part not to eat there but it is their right.

I don't care how good something is, if someone does something that goes against what you believe is right, then too bad. There's always other good things out there.

I don't feel I should deprive myself of something that I like just because of a delay. A DELAY. It's not that big of a deal, there are other things in life to do besides wait on a game. I will get it when I get it and I'm sure that I will love it as much as I loved the first two episodes. And if they do more seasons then I'm sure that I will love them too. Just because they're late I'm not going to deprive myself of something that I enjoy. That wouldn't be too "bright" in my opinion.

But hey, if you two or anyone else wants to boycott then boycott. Have fun. I just don't get it. Oh, and guess what.. I have that option to not get it. That doesn't affect my intellect.

On to the Chic fil a thing. The owner of a restaraunt has every right to have his opinions and beliefs just as much as everyone else. What was everyone expecting from a Christian owner who closes his business on Sunday? I'm not going to let his views stop me from eating the food just because I don't agree with them, and yes I do not agree with him. However, I think it's being blown up into more than it should. Again, my opinion that I'm allowed to have and share.

If this screams "I'm not that bright" then so be it. But, I'll be enjoying the things that I enjoy. Thank you.

I think you are bright and totally right about this.
I don't mind waiting for game , especially this game.
And game is not delayed, it's supposed to come out on mid-august and 'till then I will smile and have patience for TellTale team , even after that I know that if the game is late and delayed, it's because they want to improve it not because they want to screw with us.

    Hey guyes.

I get, that you are frustrated about the delay. And ofcause you got every right to be. TTG have made a mistake, and that is frustrating, but they have apologized for it, and given us an estimate of when the 3th episode is espected to be out. There is little more they can do whitin reason to make it up to us.

TTG made a mistake, when they promised us monthly- It happens. It is very annoying, but it happens.

So please let us stop attacking eachother and TTG. Let us instead focus on the one thing, there is importent to all of us: Does anyone have some intel on the status of the producion?

They did NOT apologize, or admit that they made a mistake.

They gave an estimate of when the 3rd episode is expected to be ready, not out, and never followed up.

I can think of plenty more they could do to make it up to us.

I asked your question and this was the response:

@jaybreezy We will likely be letting you guys know when it has been. Stay tuned.

I'll hand it to him.. He's quick on the twitter.

That means no. Episode 2 took upwards of three weeks to certify, so looks like no mid-august release for us. :(

    Also, who are you tweeting?
  • VainamoinenVainamoinen Moderator

There were different certification processes going on at the time.
I'm pretty sure none took three weeks.

Well they did not say; "we are sorry", but they went trough the whole thanking us for our patience thing. They have to be diplomatic about it, and it sounded a bit like a politicians way of saying, that he made a mistake. Still it seemed very much like apologizing to me. If you want a strait out and not very diplomatic apology from a company or a politician, you will have to wait for a long time.

I to could think of a lot of things they could do to make it up to us, but if it has to be whitin reason, there are not a lot more they can do.

For example: To want them to give people their money back (that demand I have heard a lot of times), sounds good for people, who feel, that they have been let down, but it is not very reasonable, since a lot of those money most likely already have been spend on developing the episodes we have gotten, and the one we will soon get (I'm at least assuming that it will be soon).

Thanking us for our patience? Did we have a choice? Politicians apologize and take responsibility for things when it is absolutely appropriate. TTG Doesn't.

How about an apology, an explanation, and a steady stream of updates? Within Reason?
  • edited August 2012
Reason: game-breaking bugs took longer than expected to fix. Bitchin' doesn't help the game come out faster. Politicians try not to answer awkward questions. Even if they did, TTG is a game developer, and a heck of a lot better than the major ones that buy up talented studios, get 'em to release a game whilst they're being held back by red tape and then shut them down.

I understand that TTG doesn't stick to release schedules too well. I understand that the last statement is an understatement. However, after playing through Back To The Future (it was super cheap on Steam a little while ago) I am fully confident that, in the end, TTG WILL deliver. It will be beautiful. It won't have Huey Lewis playing over the credits. As far as we know...

man you guys bitch a lot, i check the forum from time to time to see if the game is out yet or the newest news. but really people you been singing the same tune since the wait for episode two, stop complaining! game will eventually come out, and you will probably like it, i mean you went through the wait for two and apparently like the game enough to be here for the wait for three. so chill, the game will be out sooner or later.

If you have followed this threat, which of these demands have not been met?

    1. You got an apology- I'll admit that it is a politicians apology, but it is the bedst, you are gonna get from any company.

    2. You have an explanation. QUOTE: reno2200 two posts up^

    3. You got a twitter update as late as today: jaybreezy posted one, when I asked. Last one was 3 days ago.

And skitzogenius is absolutly right. No reason to keep talking about the same stuff over and over again. I had no intention of participating in any of these discussions, but look what you made me do bghjkl:)

It's not an apology if you don't admit fault. TTG has not acknowledged there has even BEEN a delay. Thusly I'd like to know where reno2200 got that information. Also, in jaybreezy's (i still would like to know exactly who he is tweeting, I'd like to holler myself) "update" his question was not answered, rather dodged, though it insinuates that we will be seeing yet another delay, BUT THEY WILL NEVER EVER SAY THAT OUTRIGHT
