Frankly (and I'm not even going to get into, 'gee, what happened to my account after my last gripe') I had forgotten about this game, and the fact that I had paid my season pass for product that was advertised with 'monthly' releases.
Again, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised after the last two-month delay that there would be another... And yet, I was.
So, buyer beware: 'monthly' can mean pretty much anything you like.
And, yeah, this will probably be my first and last TTG purchase.
Not even looking forward to episode 3. Came on here to see if it was released yet or not because I forgot about it. I am so pissed that all 3 of my saved games on my PS3 got "corrupt" data when I started my third play through of episode 2, and now there is no saved games. All those hours and choices on different files just gone.
is there gunna be a possible romance in the upcoming episodes?
Why? It's so unneeded, Fable bought that time wasting bullshit into games, if you want romance, get a girlfriend, these are 2 hour episodes I want only one form of action and it's not getting it on with a virtual chAracter I care nothing about, if they put it in then they are obviously short on creativity.
Even most action movies have a romance thread going through them. It allows the characters to be well rounded and adds depth.
I don't think the game will be a chick flick if some of the characters develop personal romantic connections with each other. Adds a level of drama I dare say.

This. Romance in The Walking Dead creates and breaks relationships. I would like to see this because it heightens the drama between the characters.

Wanting romance as a narrative element in a video game has_nothing_to_do_with_compensation, and this repetitive innuendo that I have recently experienced on the Shadowrun Returns forums (in an exaggerated form though) is really getting on my nerves.
The guy just asked for romance, neither for "a form of action" nor for "getting it on". There was no suggestion it should be done in a "pick at will" Mass Effect style, or that it should necessarily incorporate sex.
For a game about the most basic of human emotions, love sure has a place in there. Reasons to leave it out may be that it adds nothing worthwhile to the storyline, feels too awkward to the designers, or maybe the audience isn't expected to be mature enough. Another reason to specifically not get Lee involved in anything could be that it might be to the detriment of the Lee-Clementine relationship.
Personally, I have no desire for romance to be included in my Zombie game.
Sure it may make character relations deeper in a sence, and losing a loved one could add a OMG NOOOOOOO moment, but to me, that's not what this game is about.. It's about surviving.
Becides, concider all of the possible senerios
I saved Doug, not Carley and I choose to play Lee as Hetro. Sorry Doug!
I killed Larry in the meatlocker, Lilly is not going to give it up to me for sure!
I could have an affair with Katja, but that would ruin my chance to get on Kenny's boat and may even cause him to kill my Lee or let him die.
Wait til the finale of EP5, maybe in a safe place to live the rest of our lives to say Lee and (someone else met along the way) live happily ever after with Clem as adopted daughter.
romance is okay to have, but dont show it. for the love of god we dont want to see two animated characters make out. its odd and creepy and i hate it. just played Heavy Rain, had a sex scene. thought it was the most awkward, weird thing ive ever seen and made me feel like these creators are the clique perveted guys that live in their parents basement whacking off to every other shampoo commercial they get their eyes on.
that being said...
TellTale wont do that. they might have an "unsaid" kind of romance going on, but they wont push it.
popped in to check on release date....
Guess this is a romance thread now, directions to the release date discussion? Maybe in the romance section?
LOL better than the last thread I suppose and all the anger.

same thing happened to me. they have a patch for that now
On a serious note: the next guessing thread probably won't comprise EIGHT FULL WEEKS. This thread here was made at a time of maximum uncertainty as to the time Telltale would need between episodes, hence the ultra-long list of possible release days. Next time, we might start with a date four weeks after the release of episode 3 (as opposed to this one's three weeks) and conveniently end five weeks later.

But...but... if we're all zombies, how can we get Episode 3 to you?
What? This is what you decide to come on here and post? No updates or answers to any questions us customers ask, but a sly response to someones post?
Wow. That's all I got to say.
+1 to this
How many more times do they need to tell us "Mid-August" before release? It's obvious that it's too soon for them to pin down an exact release date.
Simmah Down Nah!
The release date was reported to be mid-August. Any more specific information isn't mine to give you, sorry!
What IS mine to give you, is some silly jokes to keep you guys excited!
Respect to the man ^_^
Keep up the good work over there! I look forward to episode 3.
Agreed. And I AM excited about Episode 3.
+1 to your +1

I'm happy to hear that! I'm excited to get it to you guys as quickly as possible! (really!)
First of all thanks for showing up despite the TTG bashing on this forum.
Second... Please please make your colleagues tell us, when the game is submittet to microsoft and sony:)
This is why you don't release a game episodic.
I look forward to the challenge.
Just know, if i run into Duck, Im going to continue to NOT save his ass.
Pay attention

Is just my personal opinion!

If they do decide on a romance, I am sure, they will make it work:)
that would be the bare minimum heck even a breif video on the cam corder we got in ep2 form said woman
Develop a trust with Lily so later on, if needed I could trip her and leave her for the zombies while I make my get-a-way.
Think Otis!!

6-12 August
13-19 August
20-26 August
27-31 August, and so on...
That would make the poll more interesting in my opinion because now there are just too many options!!
Interesting. "The release date romance thread", I could rename it right now. There would CERTAINLY be less complaints, don't you think?
I think we have the name for the release date thread for ep 4;)
You might also experience that it has been closed for more than two weeks now, making it of even less use.
If there were just weekly options, too many people would win!
vain we lost yesterday didn't we? Noooooo!!
