But I fear Der_Ketzer would rather jump out of the window than let us make him mod. :D

That wouldn't help because I'm in the ground floor. But no. No mod duty please. I value what's left of my sanity.

A make your own Sunday bar bar would improve this place! And every 15th Monday is slap your daughter with a tie day.

Ah so you have the power to be review horrible movies.
While maintaining my sanity, yes. Something like that. :)

Would that be slap 'make her wear one' or slap 'physically assault her with one'? 'cause I could totally get behind one of those.

I'll get my tie. You get the daughter.

If it is the first we'll take my ugly green one, if it's the second we'll take my good looking light blue one. If it's neither I still have a REALLY ugly red one.

Just to be clear you guys said you still had sanity left?

    Mines right.

yes. That's how I know which one of my ties are ugly.

Also I was a mod in a forum before and it was small but man the things I've seen...
Posts by users that were piss drunk and started to insult everyone. I usually sent them a copy of the post via PN and deleted the original and told them that they should post it again if they still mean it after getting sober again.
    Hint: they never did.

Hit your daughter with that one.

I have no daughter. But I have a kindergarten right across the street. I'm sure I'll find the daughter of someone there.

And to get back on topic:
I'd really love to get bigger avatars for normal users. 50x50 is way too small.

Yes. The voices in our heads are quite clear on that one.

Yours are clear? All I hear are violent screams. Usually when I'm trying to sleep. It's quite relaxing, actually.

No no, that's on every alternate Thursday, and it's more of a back-and-forth insult flinging contest than anything else. Can't get any sleep when they do that. Too busy egging them on.

I got a suggestion. We need to get this back on subject before the mods lock the thread!
  • edited September 2012
    Aww...

But to second Ketzer's comment, large avatars would be nice.
  • edited September 2012
Maybe a cool background would make the fourms look nice.
  • edited September 2012
    An ostrage would be cool.

Going back to the issue of spambots for a moment, I was just wondering if a mod could say if reporting a post/thread is actually a useful thing to do in finding and removing spam stuff or if it's just a waste of time and effort.
  • edited September 2012
How about notify to Twitter/Facebook capability.

It is useful it helps them clean it up faster and block the bots faster.

Definitely helps. We appreciate the heads up.

How about a feature like for example you write this long post but you hit a wrong button my mistake and it takes you back a page or takes you to your homepage and when you go back the post is gone. So i think like a recovery feature on posts would be cool.

Ok that's it i am very annoyed and i'm sure everyone else is too at these bots. We the fourm members have to deal with this crap and the mods have it worst because it's them who have to clean up after the bots and all i can say is Telltale you have to do something about this! It's been around the last month the bots have started spaming more and more and it's getting very annoying.

If you see one report it that's the best way to help the mods clean it up till TTG can sort this problem out.
  • edited September 2012
It's not that Coolsome i know TTG is busy making TWD but i just think it's starting to be unfair to the mods that they have to keep cleaning up all the crap left behind by these bots.

Apparently, this forum needs elevator parts.

    Amen to that.

Also i have to say that mods are great. I am surprised they can do this. They have to put up with bots,Trolls,People who just joined to say ''TWD ep 2/3 ain't out yet TTG is crap i'm not buying from them again!!!!'' All i can say is Mods should get a metal for all they do and that the To the TTG fourm mods thread is one of the greatest threads this fourms has had.

I tried this today, and the spambot (which was in a lesser-used forum) was toast a couple of minutes later, so I'd say it definitely helps.

It just depends. If no mod is around it will take a wile.

Of course we do. The only problem at the moment is that at times, eight community members report the same spambot = eight identical e-mails in our inboxes. :D

Good to know, thanks. I've done it a few times already, but I just wanted to check if I was supposed to be doing that.

That had occurred to me, but I guess there isn't really a better way right now.

Free Pastries. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Seriously though, the bots are getting ridiculous.
