Wondering if the 'be a character' winner will be in the next episode.
If the winner is in the next episode it would prob be someone who dies before the episode ends. I can't see them making a MAJOR character out of a contest winner. Most likely they'll end up a zombie or it'll only be a cameo appearance. Who knows though...:p

Yes, this is exactly what Telltale promised for this contest four months ago. Four people as ZOMBIES in the game, one as a CAMEO (short appearance, gets killed and comes back as zombie). "prob", "can't see them", "most likely"? Read the contest rules again, please.
i thought it was 6 people vain, 1st gets the survivor who gets killed by the group/player then they return and player kills them again the other 5 are just walkers

From the official contest rules:
A chance to become a cast member? How does that work?
By pre-ordering the game, you're automatically entered for a chance to join the cast of the game. Our artists will model you in-game as a human who will die a horrible death, returning as a ravenous walker. You'll appear in Episode 4 of the game.
Up to four others will be selected to become part of the undead horde. They'll be modeled as zombies by our artists and will be seen shambling around in the game...or perhaps eating an unfortunate victim!
Yeah, you're right. Whatever happens with the rest of the game, I'm so happy with its character realization so far that a second Walking Dead game would be a definite buy for me. Hell, any Telltale game is an instabuy...
I went with the "When hell freezes over..." - option.
Seeing as I am an european playing on PS3, I'd vote the first week of November, but no such choice exist.
Wait, what..? Playtesting is complete? Nonononoooo... KEEP TESTING!!!! TEST UNTIL YOU'RE SURE THERE AREN"T ANY GAMEBREAKING BUGS LEFT!!
*cough* *cough* .. Sorry, I don't usually yell on the internet, but this time I had to.. I don't want to find myself doing the QA team's job again, like in ep.3. I'd rather them take time to assure the game's quality, so that when it's released, I could come here to thank them after I'm finished, instead of coming to report a gamebreaker (pointing especially at the train in ep.3)...

Just to clarify, the playtest in question isn't about bug testing. It's just sitting some people down with an early build and having them play through it to see if the story, puzzles, etc. are coming across clearly, whether they're finding it too easy or too hard, what they like and dislike, etc., so the designers can take that feedback into consideration and make changes as necessary. Bug testing is a separate process and QA will continue doing that right up to the ship date (and beyond).
October 17th was my guess, because it's mid-October, which would be a nice goal for them to hit (maybe restore some folks' faith in their ability to drop a new episode in a decent time frame), and it's the middle of the week, which makes it easiest to deal with any backlash from bugs or poor releases on the part of their third party carriers like Steam and Sony.
hey i filed a false advertising clam agents them for not doing timely releases and i received a full refund and was allowed to keep my product for exactly that reason not sticking to the monthly release and just Google the attorney general and your state and most have a very convient to use online forum took just a few minutes to fill out!

So that means what to us? The ep4 gets sent out for verification then released in a couple weeks?
It means that a release in the time frame divisonten proposed is at least possible.
