But it was $25, do you know how much that is? That's like... an hour of work!

For some that's 3 hours of work :-o

    serious broken logic here:

a game is delayed, by a month 'twice' but it still comes out, it's still awesome and of course people misunderstand the 'choices' blurb, but ttg never stated exact dates untill they could be met..

i dunno how legit this 'claim' is from a 'new member' who suddenly starts posting when they get a 'free game'...

overall in the amount of sales ttg have got a few percent of refunds ain't gonna hurt..

Destructoid caster FOOM had a live stream up a couple days and someone in the comments asked when to expect a retail disc version, and they said they were shooting for late November, so if they are hoping to have it out then they must expect episode 4 to be in September, and episode 5 in October. Must be getting the hang of it now.

    EDIT: http://www.twitch.tv/destructoid/b/331982401

Around 2:54:00 they talk about it.

Thanks for the link, but just wait. They'll release episode 4 end of October and episode 5 like one week before the retail is out...

hey i filed a false advertising clam agents them for not doing timely releases and i received a full refund and was allowed to keep my product for exactly that reason not sticking to the monthly release and just Google the attorney general and your state and most have a very convient to use online forum took just a few minutes to fill out!

Way to stick it to the average working man and take a little something from their families. Hopefully one day it will come back to you in the same fashion.

Getting the game for free by complaining is no better than stealing it. TWD is a great product at a bargain and I don't understand how anyone would suffer financial hardship by having to wait a few extra months for a recreation product.
  • edited September 2012
Hmm.. I don't know if I would enjoy a free partial game. I have very much enjoyed the chapters. Well worth the wait in my opinion.

So, I was stalking Telltale's twitter after I woke up today, and they retweeted this:

    "Gary Whitta ‏@garywhitta

Today was my last real full day working on The Walking Dead Episode 4. Now I sit back and watch @telltalegames bring it home! So excited.
    "

What exactly is this supposed to mean? What would be left for Telltale to do to bring it home?

Yes, but if you are able to freely buy a $25 video game that says upfront that you won't get all of it until a few months later, I would think you are not having problems when it comes to needing necessities like food(I'm assuming that is what it says, it's in another language that I can't read Sorry...)
EDIT:If you mean the hour of work thing, that was off for some I know, but the point is if $25 really is a lot of money to some(which I know it is) then why did you spend it on a video game?

Yes, you are right.. I am not complaining about paying for game(it sounds normal to me).. But I was complaing about 25$ is really little from one point of view, but it could be a lot of from second one.. In short you shouldnt say to others what value have 25$ for them..

Well, I think that the bulk of the voice work is done. They just need to start developing the rest of it right now.

Well I imagine Gary is completely finished with the story and the writing.. which means Telltale just have to finish off producing the game..finalising voicework and doing testing etc

I voted October 12th, simply because that's my birthday and it'd be awesome if it came out on that day ^_^

So on the 15th, SupergeniusArt confirmed on Gary Whitta's twitter that they are animating episode 4. Won't be too far off, now.

Who knows. The best news was on the 9th, because the playtests were confirmed. Oh, and Doug chimed in to give a bit of advice.

Why don't TTG give us any info on their website? Last time they were so good with their communiction, why chance that policy?

Well... I would not count on it. I think you will have to wait until he returns, if you want to play it together.

We will probaly see some sort of blog post about september 28. For the second and third release, they wait until close to the monthly releaese date and then say something hopeing to calm the people. At this point, if they follow the trend they have set so far with this game, we get a update one month after the last release, and the actual release is at the two month mark. So we should see episode 4 about October 28, and the final episode about December 28. Hopefully this means the game will end before the end of the year, just taking twice as long as promised in the begining. It would of been nice to have the game done before 3rd season of the television was started, or the book with lily in it was released, both which happens in mid october.

The wait sucks but I'll be sad when it ends. Wish it was a $50 game with 10 episodes, just 5 to start.

I'm sure they're already working on season 2. TWD has a HUGE success, every fan wants more, and I think they started working on season 2 just right after the success of episode 1.

By the way, a S&M new season will be appreciated too... :)
