Amazon list's the PS3 Physical Copy release (all 5 episodes)
"This item will be released on November 20, 2012."
i'm all confuzzled, given the release schedule 4 would be mid/end of october and 5 couldn't be finished in less than a month?
Zeruis is very right on this. Before all digital episodes are out, there won't be a retail version; so Amazon can't have any final release date for the retail version before Telltale at least has a release date for episode 5. And they don't have one, that's just not how it works. So it's definitely a placeholder date - regardless of whether it was invented by Amazon or actually given by Telltale.
I think it's halfway possible that the Season will be completed by that date. Present playtests seem to indicate an almost timely release of episode 4, leaving a good bit of time for episode 5.
Still, the more time passes from episode 5 to retail release, the more bugfixes Telltale will be able to apply. And it's high time they did.
Anyone else think they may surprise us and release episode 4 within the next couple weeks? They've confirmed that all five episodes will be available on December 4th, so I'm hopeful that we'll get the next episodes sooner than expected I'm getting anxious for my fix again! lol

That follows more or less the formula 2 months per episode, but a bit faster this time. End August-September + October for episode 4 and October-November + December for episode 5.
I guess it's the need to develop the game into its retail release for December.
Before they were worried about keeping their labor low. Then they said, "fuck it, triple overtime all around!" Any moment now Harrison Pink is going to post an encoded message asking for help escaping his cell.
I think TTG's goal is to have the retail version ready for Christmas..... so ep 5 should be out at least at the same time of the retail version release.
This should be good news for us too, meaning we don't have to wait 2 months between episodes. Dunno, just hoping...
I will cover myself in Nutella and go through a McDonald's drive through on a unicycle if episode 4 is released by October 12th.
I'm thinking about the face of the kid working at McDonalds, instead of a car a Nutella covered guy drving thru on a unicycle... this made my day!!
By the way, if it's out before October 12 we can do it with a tandem...
They might release Ep 4 early?? What makes Ep 4 faster to develop for then the previous episodes?
Because they have had longer time to work on it than the first 3??
I am pretty sure they started working on episode 4 long before episode 3 was released.
EVERYTHING's possible now. Might even be in the cards that the different validation processes from Sony/Microsoft are already running; and it hasn't even been four weeks since episode 3. Then again, we never know and the release date might still be after divisonten's latest estimate. But this is looking really good - as supposedly the retail version will be out on December 4th already.
This is a bit disheartening though - no way are they going to fix those bugs in time for the retail release when they still have to supply full steam to finishing the episodes.
and just because theyre all going to be available on disc does not mean that xbox, psn will get them prior to that point, i can see quite the opposite infact

The episodes must go through the same validation process, I'd assume - so it really does not make sense to release the retail disc with all five episodes before the digital fifth episode.

i truly hope you are correct, but the time frame doesnt add up unless they are gonna rush release the last episode

lol. at this rate the cd will come out before the last episode

It doesn't make much since to release the digital version a few weeks ahead of the retail version either. I think they will release as close together as possible to maximize their profit. They are going to want to sell as many physical copies as possible.

Keep in mind that Amazon has likely date-placeholders on items. It might not even be the actual release dates.
i don't even want to know the date this time, just give me a 24hour window and say "the games coming out tomorrow"

this is a joke right
probably not...
So we could presume that Ep. 5 will be out by end of November if everything holds true.
Dafok!
How do you know about the playtest and their schedule?
It's also on IGN, but TTG said they're goal is the 4th of December...
But they said the same for monthly release....
I bet they release the retail version around the same time as the digital version of EP5.

I SWEAR TO GOD
I'll eat a box of cookies, in their honor.

There are loads of funny dudes around... *cough*

It COULD add up.
