You did...you called her a white girl...or a mixed girl...both her parents are black. So either you are now being racist in an attempt to show racism, or you are just ignoring this for your benefit.

who cares how they look in a picture? if the pic wasnt in the game, most of you would assume shes white or asian.
...and what about all the dead white ones? You REALLY seen to hate white characters.
if there's 10 white characters, and 1 black character. why the hell would i care if one of them dies? kill all white characters, continously, then you might have a point

the reason why they have watered down the governor is because showing a character like him on tv with the zombie incest, rape and horrifying behavior would disturb your average casual tv-viewer. so they play it safe, and I agree, so far the Governor isn't evil and crazy enough.
They did hint at some things... but only hint like the brushing of his girl and stripping maggie. sure its not like rape and putting his tongue in his dead daughter but I doubt they would ever show this stuff on TV. it is and will be a watered down version of the comics in order to appeal to a broad casual audience.

so instead of depicting gov like his character, they make michonne seem like jungle savage. got it:rolleyes:
You can cry about racism in media when tyler perry hires one...even one white actor for his sitcoms or movies.
you're really pitting one production company against hundreds of others? now i know you have no legs to stand on. go ahead and talk about BET next:cool:
edit: and although i dont watch tyler perry films. a quick imdb search will tell you all of his movies/tv shows have white ppl
I made a joke way back in episode 1 that Lee would definitely die because he was black.
Who laughing now?
You rarely, if ever, see a black protagonist in an adventure game. In fact, I'm a big adventure gamer and of the top of my head I can't think of a single other one. (I'm sure there are some but they can't be that prominent.)
First time it happens in a high profile game like TWD, it's a convicted killer who cannot be saved.
Now I don't think Telltale are racist. Black people do commit murder and they sure as hell die. And the joke in ep 2 where Kenny suggests Lee knows how to break locks because he's "urban" suggests they know the score.
The problem here is the ratio. It is a fact, not a made-up rumour, that black characters are much less likely to survive action and horror movies than white ones. It's entirely subconscious - people think of consumers primarily as white and so to create audience appeal they leave the characters the audience will identify themselves as alive longer.
Here's an interesting experiment- have the main character of season 2 of Walking Dead be a white woman whose last name we don't find out for a while. Eventually, reveal her as Lee's ex-wife. I *guarantee* that a lot of people will have their mind blown, whereas if it was a black woman, people would be going "Oh it's Lee's wife" right away.
These people aren't racist in the sense that they are out to get people of different colours, they're just thinking in boxes due to conditioning.
i also joked that lee would probably die saving clem. but i thought they'd be less predictable, especially after they renewed for s2. boy, they showed me. black guys must die at all cost, it must be in the fine print.

wtf does all of this have to do with the tv show. just drop the racism bullshit. it's boring, everyone knows it and it has been common in hundreds of movies and series', not just TWD. So make a seperate offtopic thread "Why is the media so racist and kill all the black guys QQ".
But we could be jumping the gun here. I am very sure that Christa will be a playable character, either in Season 2 or 3. It would be unusual in itself to go from black character to character, but also, I don't think Christa's arc will end in inevitable death.
But she's a black woman and white male writers go soft on black women because of the complex issues regarding both the illicit temptation of miscegenation and also the earnest desire to widen ones genetic and cultural diversity and thus one's strength base through partnership with- oh who am I kidding, it's dat ass.

Need I go on?
When people bring up Tyler Perry in an argument like this I just think they're a idiot. You may feel smart arguing with a moron like Marcus but there's no need to sink to his level either.
Because Spike Lee released critically acclaimed films such as Inside Man, 25th Hour and do the right thing.
the fact you have to use tyler perry to defend TWD proves enough
ad hominem.
And btw...of the "black people being killed by TWD" the first one you mentioned...is not dead. The guy with his kid? yea he's still alive in the comics when rick goes back to his home town. and tyrese is the first black guy to actually join ricks group in the comics:
Marcus: I think you're getting a bit worked up here so we need to move on to a nice safe topic we can all feel comfortable with. Let's talk about those Transformers movies instead.
ad hominem.

Comments
who cares how they look in a picture? if the pic wasnt in the game, most of you would assume shes white or asian.
I mean seriously...the man lost his entire family in front of his own eyes.
And the pic was in game...way to pay attention.
kinda stupid considering all the other white living characters in the walking dead universe.
kenny will be in season 2, where as Lee is dead. great comparison.
hell, kenny had more character development than Lee. we had to basically guess Lee's past
Yea...like Omid (middle-eastern by the name) and Christa (black) and Clementine (black)...and...wait...
...and what about all the dead white ones? You REALLY seen to hate white characters.
Wow, completely missing the point of that, we are.
Lee's past is left up to the player to decide because he's a representation of the players action!
um...you are on crack if you think kenny survived a pile of walkers with no ammo and no weapons.
if he wasn't dead i would be telling him he was a great guy
I'm not aware of the geography of georgia , but would you expect a more racially diverse group than we have in georgia
i didnt really notice the "there can only be one" rule but both t-dog and oscar are made up for the show they could have been any colour

My friends!
I give you the true racist!
i dont think you know the definition of the word.
You want characters to die based on race.
All your arguments are invalid.
game. set. match.
no, i want black characters to stop being red shirts for TWD writers. theresmore to black men besides dying for white people.
They did hint at some things... but only hint like the brushing of his girl and stripping maggie. sure its not like rape and putting his tongue in his dead daughter but I doubt they would ever show this stuff on TV. it is and will be a watered down version of the comics in order to appeal to a broad casual audience.

Do me a favor and give me a ratio of dead white to black people in this pic, hmm?
who cares about the ratio? 100% of the blacks in that pic are dead. neither given a proper story or character development.
Sorry to break it to you, but neither did half the white people that died in that pic. Your point is invalid. Now stop chasing ghosts.
shane? dale? lori? they werent given lines? a past? character development? we know more about beth and jim than we do jackie and tdawg.
no wonder there's so much racism in the media. you all see what you want to see.
