It was the ending, mostly, which had echoes of TBE 3's ending.

Pretty sure your story didn't include a whole bunch of incest though.

I don't know how I feel about my first time at SDCC. First of all, I was planning on buying tons of exclusives from booths, but I had no clue how the ticket system worked. Big mistake. I went home with near zero exclusives.

The place was crowded more than I thought. Sometimes I was asked to leave panel lines when the rooms were full, and it took 20 minutes just to get into a single demo of Beyond: Two Souls. The line for Hall H showed thousands of people lining up before the day even started.

On the other hand, I was able to attend the Comixology and Telltale's TWD panels. I was also able to get autographs from Dave Fennoy and Dean Norris, so that was pretty nice!

However, if I was asked to go again, I would decline. The place is pretty much only worth going to if you're into 5-10 minute demos of games or the panels you want to go to when you can.

Did you see the Doctor Who trailer? And how was the demo?

I would love to go to comicon some day. It is a tad expensive when you tack on the flights, so I would have to combine it with other stuff like going to disney or something.

My dislike of such large crowds will certainly prevent me from ever going to comic con. :(

It was alright. It was set during a time in the game when Jodie goes to Somalia as part of the CIA. Gameplay-wise, it reminded a lot of Heavy Rain with the QTE's. I found out that you can use Aiden in combat to choke your enemies or knock them out. Graphics look great, and voice acting is much better than the French accents of Heavy Rain. My only gripe with the demo was the controls. Sometimes, I was confused as to which direction I should've aimed the analog stick to hit and dodge in combat, even though it would seem plainly obvious. I just hope that this gets fixed before the release.

And no, I didn't see the Doctor Who trailer.

My dislike of mindless consumerism and conformity fueled entirely by the interests of major Hollywood studios certainly prevents me from ever going to Comic-Con.

I can't take it anymore. Half, if not 3/4th of my day is spent hearing commercials on TV while I'm in the living room. I just can't fuckin take it anymore.

The biggest disadvantage of having a room in the attic is that not even two big-ass fans can cool the room enough to make it bearable.

This is why I never started watching TV. Well, except for Netflix and... other places.

I've become so accustomed to commercials they never bothered me. Then today I stopped and watched a freecreditreport.com commercial, and I realized for the first time I was watching someone do a pretty little song and dance to trick me into buying into a corporate product, and I realized it was like I was being hypnotized against my will. I was suddenly overcome with a violent urge, what a shock, to beat my TV into rubble.
  • edited July 2013
I had that too once, except no I didn't.
  • edited July 2013
Yeah, I don't really watch TV and I have Adblock, so I'm slowly realizing that I have no idea what products are out there.

And I am also realizing that I don't really care. I'll still buy the stuff I need and the brands I'll get will be dependent on what I need.

I live in my basement. I got a flat screen, three bookcases, two recliners, a big ass couch, a billiard table, an air hockey table, a bar, a king sized bed, a gun safe, and an Indiana Jones pinball game I got from an auction. It’s my mothafuckin’ man-cave.

Really gonna have to avoid TV news this week, especially on the BBC as they're all talking about the royal baby. Bah. I know he's the future king and all but is it really necessary to repeat the little facts they know about him ad nauseum.

With the state of royalty today, they'll make him star in A Serbian Film 2.

Sky News is far worse. They've just spent an hour covering the Changing of The guards at Buckingham Palace. An event that happens EVERY DAY. Not even remotely newsworthy.

The most stupid thing is he won't be king for another 50-60 years...
The majority of adults will be dead by then and the children alive now will be retired by the time he is king...
