Your big problem is that you're not doing as much as you should in Cycles 2 and 3. Hell by the end of Cycle 3 I had already done everything you have in Cycle 4 and a bit more. Although I "cheated a bit" and got to Great Bay before Snowfall temple by "bomb jumping" over the fence. Cycle 2 is ALL preparation and whatever sidequests are already available, Cycle 3 should be multitasking Woodfall and Snowhead with other sidequests.
I get your point, but the major snag in my eyes is Woodfall. That temple really doesn't lend itself to resuming your place if you exit in the middle of it, save for some very specific points. In fact, the only reason I even considered attempting Anju and Kafei during Stone Tower was because the temple forces you to go outside at least once (three times if you're getting stray fairies) and thus lends itself much better to exiting in the middle.
And besides that, attempting to fold those first two cycles into the later ones would put me in the uncomfortable position of having one bottle for Woodfall and Snowhead and not getting the Bunny Hood until almost the end of the second temple.

Huh? No it doesn't that I remember.
Besides, by multitasking I didn't mean going in and out of the temple, I just meant doing all of those 3 during that cycle instead of just focusing on one. Also, honestly, I don't see why most of the stuff in your Cycle 3 list can't be done on Cycle 2.

What? You can perfectly get the Bunny Hood in Cycle 2.
The point is, your schedule is not optimal, I've done better, and I'm sure someone better than me at this thing could too, like those guys that can do all 4 temples in one cycle, but those are crazy good and rely on glitches though.
You have to exit the temple to flip it upside-down. You have to do this once just to finish the temple and an extra two times if you're collecting Stray Fairies.

Because the game requires at least three cycles for quests in Clock Town. Anju and Kafei can't be done on the same cycle as the Blast Mask/All-Night Mask because Sakon won't come to the Curiosity Shop if you prevent him from having anything to sell there, so Kafei won't see him and leave the Keaton Mask and Express Mail for you.
What? You can perfectly get the Bunny Hood in Cycle 2.
I interpreted what you said as that I should roll those quest cycles in with the Temple cycles. If I did that, I would be heading out for Woodfall on Cycle 2 and wouldn't get the Bunny Hood until the third day on that cycle.
I've been playing Dragon Age 2. It's fun, I'm definitely enjoying myself, but it doesn't feel that much improved over the first one. A little more streamlined, yeah, but I'm annoyed that I can only change some of my companions gear now. I'm playing as a mage and I keep finding all this cool warrior and rogue armor but... nope! No one but the main character can use it for no reason. "Carver, I found this sweet magical Blood Dragon Armor, you don't have to wear that crappy leather tunic thing anymore. ... What do you mean you prefer the crappy leather tunic thing!?
I also started Jolly Rover, an indie adventure game about pirate dogs, tonight. Not very far into it, but I've already had to put more thought into the puzzles then I did in either Back to the Future episode so far. Sigh.
Haha, you made me nostalgic! Playing through it again right now. When I first got this game, I used to think it was the hardest ever. Didn't know yet about Sierra's "trial & error" tactics to make games harder, so I tried crossing that river in one go. Now I know to save every few steps LOL
I also used to think that each playthrough, only one route to California would work, because they were all so hard LOL And that if you missed the coach to Sutter's Fort, you had to start all the way back in Brooklyn and take another route.
But I used to love panning and digging for gold. Now, it's like the most boring thing ever!
This is one I have never beaten, I played it but never got out of the first town. This may be one of the few Sierra titles I haven't completed so I'm determined to beat it one of these days.
It is a classic. And it has Tim Curry in it which is always made of win.
On topic, I've been playing Legends of the Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon on my N64 emulator. It's really making miss my consoles because the emulation controls like crap.
I'm currently playing through Legend Entertainment's Spellcasting series. That Steve Meretzky sure knew how to design brilliant and surreal wordplay-based puzzles. I think Spellcasting 101's Island of Lost Soles may actually top the Leather Goddesses of Phobos's T-Remover Machine.
Took a break from Zelda. I think I was done with the first five dungeons. Also, I finished paying off my house in Animal Crossing: City Folk today. I probably would've done it a long time ago if I'd realized that I was only a week and a half (of which I only played four days) from finishing the game. Still working on Wild World, but my town's fruit won't grow back until Friday.
If you don't succumb to using at least one or two more save states before you beat it then you'll have my respect. Specially considering the whole "lose to last boss, go back to 6-1" thing.
Eh, maybe, but still, my track record with this game isn't good. I'm 0 for 2 in finishing my attempts at this game, while I've beaten every other Zelda game at least twice (except the DS games, which I haven't gotten back to yet, and Four Swords GBA, which I no longer have anyone to play it with and only one copy of my own).
I should play through the Zelda games one of these days. I enjoy them, but for some reason the only one I've ever actually completed was A Link to the Past.
EDIT: Thanks for mentioning Zelda GuruGuru214. I've decided to play through The Legend of Zelda through ConsoleClassix now.
I plan on finishing all of these by the end of Saturday, March 26th:
Pokemon Black
Call of Duty Black Ops
Bulletstorm
Paper Mario 2
Okamiden
I have a lot of playing to do.
I probably couldnt beat one of these by then.
Maybe Bulletstorm which I really need to rent on gamefly(maybe they will ship the game I want for a change and not the one at the bottom of my list)
Whenever I see the Legend of Zelda for NEs, all I can think of is this video.
Also, I decided to play it and see if I could beat it. I defeated the dragon boss and got the first piece of the triforce already. I guess that must be good for my first time playing it, and without a walkthrough or hints. Man, it's hard to stuff in this game!
Pokemon Black: How am I still not bored of these games after all these years?
Dragon Age 2: Enjoying it, but a pretty lackluster sequel in a lot of ways.
Mega Man 10: Playing it on hard mode and Doctor Wily's stages are just dominating me.
I probably couldnt beat one of these by then.
Maybe Bulletstorm which I really need to rent on gamefly(maybe they will ship the game I want for a change and not the one at the bottom of my list)
I'm already about half way through all of them except Okamiden. I probably won't actually be able to finish that one.
And Bulletstorm is amazing. This coming from a guy who thinks the shooter is the blandest genre of games. Who happens to also be playing Black Ops. :X
I played Pilotwings and Super Punch Out on my Snes earlier.
Those two are real classics. Beautiful graphics coupled with fun, arcadey gameplay.
Both were designed brilliantly.
Super Punchout stays fresh as each boxer has his own attack patterns that you have to learn and counter.
I remember Dragon Lee was a nightmare, till I learned to time the duck correctly.
Skill, timing, and observation are essential elements, no random luck involved.
Pilotwings keeps things fresh by having several different types of vehicles to use that each present their own challenges.
And the fact the game lets you select which one you do first, but forces you to do them all is great, as in a sense its similar to Megaman's robot bosses. Despite the risk of turning people off by forcing them to do something they may find particularily hard, you also prevent them from just doing the bits they like, then skipping over the game.
The plane starts simple, but gets fairly tough as you have to manage speed and its easy to overturn.
The parachute is a good challenge, as it's really floaty and if not careful you could just float over the target into the water.

I've played a bit of Mega Bomberman lately. 'tis a great old bomberman game.
Oh come on, it's not like you can't enjoy this without any planning =P

WEEEEEE! I LOVE THIS GAME!

I succumbed. One savestate, by which I mean I've used one exactly one time, not one savestate multiple times.
(I only know this because of that video of the end of the dance pad run).
Time to go kick Ganon's ass.
The Legend of Zelda
Completion Time: 8 days
Play Time: 4 nights
Up next:
May I actually beat it this time.
Not too hard, and more logical than the randomness of the overworld in the first one.
EDIT: Thanks for mentioning Zelda GuruGuru214. I've decided to play through The Legend of Zelda through ConsoleClassix now.
Pokemon Black
Call of Duty Black Ops
Bulletstorm
Paper Mario 2
Okamiden
I have a lot of playing to do.
Dark Messiah
xbla scott pillgrimm saves the world
DNF *wishfull thinking*

You get the idea...
"You're like free pizza at an anime convention. She can smell you, and she wants to consume you." - Snake Fist.
I also still need to finish New Vegas, I need to actually go siege Hoover Dam
You finaly got it, eh?
I'm playing nothing at the moment, or I may start on W&G.
Now, I want to play Mass Effect again. It will probably look a lot better now that I don't have to play it in the tiniest window imaginable.
You finally got a theater screen to play it on?
That's probably the best idea I've heard all week. Ginormous Mass Effect. All I'd need is a projector and a really big room...
