It will go something like this "you cant even look after a plant how can I expect you to look after your friends!" Or "what a lush green and fertile plant you truly are responsible, pat on the back my friend."
I was thinking: Kate gets pregnant from the ----SPOILER---- porno and depending on the plant she will either decide to have the child and Max will adopt it or she will abort the fetus.
That wasn't serious, but it's the first place my imagination went. Where's my medication?

While you're right over the clichés, but I am starting to get worried we'll soon be in the year where it's impossible to write a character who isn't a cliché. That can even be coming sooner than expected. I do like Max's character though.
Mind you, I do actually agree with your points despite what I just said.
I think it's a ok game so far, but I honestly didn't enjoy it that much.
The dialogue is very cringe-worthy at times, and it has this ann… moreoying 'slang' to it.
Also, basically every character represents a stereotype:
* David, the asshole paranoid cop who was in combat and thinks that gives him an excuse to be a total dick
* Max, the silent, introvert girl who was superpowers
* Chloe, the cool, drug-dealing girl with rough language who turns out to have family problems etc
You can go on and on.
Now, what I liked is the story, it's an interesting setup so far. Also, the time rewind feature is kinda cool and good integrated, but takes away from the feeling a bit (but not too much).
The choice system is also a big plus, Telltale could really learn something from that. But here you have to note again that most options are kind of the same when you talk to someone (chat, not choices).
Overall, I would give this Episode… [view original content]
I heard the all the episodes are "Playable", just missing a few parts here and there. Which I would assume that the devs are working on the episodes 2-5 along with episode 1 (shortens release wait?).

I watched PewdiePie play this. And wow. I am for sure not buying it, and will only watch others playthroughs. I have never seen so many clic… morehes used to such a degree to try and capture this generation of children. Or are the children of this generation really like that? And never in my life have I been so scared if that is legitimately how children act nowadays.
Aside from the horrible and cliched dialogue and terribly cliche characters. I like the overall plot. I mean, how the hell are they gonna save the town? Quiet personally, I see the story having vastly different endings. I know Chole said she wanted to leave the town, so I can see one of the endings being that Chole and the player character leaving the town and letting everyone die. And I can also see them being lesbos. Not that I care, but I hope I'm wrong for the sheer fact that the writers made it so terribly obvious.
If I were to rate this game? Meh out of Meh. 5 out of 10.
Episodes will be released in a 6-7 week time frame so despite an episode being already made, the developers won't release it until said time frame, which is kind of sucky. Telltale makes an episode live, but these guys have almost all of the episodes completed and are just choosing to release them this way.

Thanks, I just kind of want to go in completely blind (and others probably would as well). Because now I'm wondering why Kate's book is in there in the first place. Anyway, thanks for putting up a spoiler warning.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I think I remember looking at a book on Max's couch or near there and I believe she said Kate let her borrow it, of course I could be misremembering.

It's buried in the black abyss of textures, just keep clicking near that area and you should find it eventually. It took me like 10 minutes to find it.
I only played up to after the diner. It's kind of shocking how compete the episode looks after leaving the school
I haven't brought the game, but from the gameplays I have seen, I love the charming atmosphere. Besides the bad lips syncing, I thought the voice acting is good. I thought the story is fine but the exploration aspect puts the story on a grind.
Btw, I want Max's power. If I have that power, I would rarely use it to rewind time and use it instead to gather information. Makes school all the more easier.
i bought and finished episode 1 and i found it fantastic. yes it was a tad bit slow. but even anyone here can say telltale has had some pretty slow episodes here and there. the story is great though in my opinion (mostly plays out like a rebooted modern teen version of an episode of the twilight zone lol). all in all i really enjoyed it and i think even telltale could learn something from this title. i rather enjoyed being able to reverse time to correct a decision as of opposed to exiting to the main menu and then restarting from the last checkpoint -_- lol. but i cant wait for episodes 2-5!
also, did anyone else notice every license plate in the game was pretty much the title of a sci-fi or detective tv show? and for some odd reason parks and recreations was thrown in there..lol
lol it showed the guy open the rv door at the end of the episode so it might not actually be a breaking bad reference though. that guy might be an integral part of the story, you never know..it definitely made me think of breaking bad though lol. i also said in a post earlier i think telltale should make a breaking bad game. just pick up where Pinkman left off and i bet they could make something great.

It isn't about the plant, it's about Max being a terrible baby momma.

If any of you remember climbing an unbelievably-long ladder as Big Boss, you'll see where this is going.

That bucket puzzle was my favourite part of the game actually.
Same here I thought it was cool and I actually had trouble with it at first.
Same. I had a good laugh at seeing Victoria covered in paint, haha.

Sounds about right.
It doesn't get any lower than PewDiePie fans on the immaturity scale
And make money
That's the first thing I thought of when I saw him climbing up that ladder so slowly XD

It wasn't my favorite part but I still liked it and had a bit of trouble. Reminded me of Walking Dead S1 days with the train puzzle and all xD

What?
The second episode was leaked (though it's buggy from what I hear), I believe even the choices for episode 3 were leaked.
Could you please put a spoiler tag for those of us who don't want to know anything.
So people are playing the second episode?
Hmm, looks like their episodic gaming post production failed.
Yeah, if you don't want to be spoiled I suggest avoiding most things involving Life is Strange as people are putting up screenshots and things.
I guess.. but is asking where to find a book in Max's room spoiler material?
Thanks, I just kind of want to go in completely blind (and others probably would as well). Because now I'm wondering why Kate's book is in there in the first place. Anyway, thanks for putting up a spoiler warning.
Well this will be a long wait till March.
Reminds me of episode 4 of TWD S2 with all of those spoilers floating around.
Yup...I looked before but for this game I won't.
Maybe they'll release it sooner.
I doubt they'll release it early.
Hopeful thinking.

It's a much better approach to Telltale I'm finding. Telltale just take a ridiculous amount of time with each episode.

No offense but you're pretty much stealing the game you know that right?

There's also a Breaking Bad reference on an RV.
Damn I must've missed that one.

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that! As soon as I saw the RV I was like: "Jesse?? What are you doing here?"
I really enjoyed this. Not sure about the overarching story though, for the moment.
I really hope they do something interesting with Victoria's character.
