Me too, except the calling the hotline thing. I was planning to, IIRC, but since I had forgotten where exactly it was in the jungle, I'd have to wander aimlessly to find it, and that would take too much time.
Yeah, I was including you in that one. Just in the course of trying to get through the game as fast as possible, I think most of the achievements on that list were completed. But yeah, I didn't do the hotline either, since I was trying to keep the unnecessary stuff to a minimum.
Yeah, but the interview says it might take a while. They plan on re-inventing the genre by blending it with elements from their action games.
I read that part too. I do like playing some action based games, but I don't want to deal with action in my Adventure games.
Ugh, does anyone want them to re-invent adventure games? Then they wouldn't be adventure games anymore. I guess they might surprise us, but sometimes it's not the best idea to try to fix something that doesn't need it.
Hasn't everyone who worked on adventures at LucasArts left to join Telltale, Doublefine or other development studios? I'm not so sure that them making adventures again would be a such a good thing when all the talent has left long ago.
Does anyone else think that this could possibly released at the same time as the MI: Tales DVD? Given that the DVD seems to have missed its rumored May window, and the fact that MI 2 is slated to arrive this summer, the idea of both arriving next month wouldn't be too far fetched...
Man i want this so bad, and after seeing that i want it sooo much more. I will be really bugged if it doesnt run on my computer, but SOMI:SE ran fine so I hope that means LR:SE will run fine too.
This looks really good but I really don't like the idea of buying a Lucas arts game as a download and burning it to a jump drive or something...I know one day I'll have to. Yes, it's smart, it saves resources but I'm still not crazy about it.
Also, Roger L. Jackson as Governor Phatt, and...William Kasten as the Booty Island shopkeeper? Let's hope so.
EDIT: The comedic timing is excellent as well, it really brings the game to life. For example, the Day of the Tentacle-ish whooshing sound when Pegbiter runs away, and Guybrush pretty much ripping his shirt and jacket apart when he undresses.
Yep, that's 100% definitely William Kasten as the shopkeeper. He has exactly the same voice as Max, but with a Southern accent. It kinda hearkens back to how Nick Jameson (Max in Hit the Road) did loads of different voices for Day of the Tentacle and Hit the Road...and how Andrew Chaikin (Max in Culture Shock) did loads of voices in Tales and the Devil's Playhouse!
I'm trying to figure out who Kate Kapsize and the lady dressed as LeChuck are voiced by. Nikki Rapp and Tress Macneille? Let's hope so. And Rapp Scallion's accent makes me smile.
The music is also gorgeous as well, I love the directions they're going in. They said they got iMuse 100% perfect, but from the sound of the trailer and that leaked footage we got ages ago it seems like it'll be a bit messily done. Then again, it could just be the trailer's fault rather than the game's.
Hmm, the earliest upload of the first trailer I can find was on June 1st, and the game came out on July 15th. That's a month and a half from announcement to release. This one was announced on March 11th, just over two a half months ago, so...it can't be long now.
v4 reminds me of those carnival clowns where you have to toss a ping pong ball into the mouth to win a prize. LeChuck is slightly less scary than the clowns though.

I'd like to see that.
Seconded!
thirded
btw here is v4
Awesome, now we just need a few 10, 000 more to get Lucas Arts to notice!

Man, that's awesome. Especially Dom recording Guybrush dying in the acid.
thoughts?
I wonder if Dave Grossman wore his TTG t-shirt on purpose because he knew the session would be filmed?

you could allways make an excseption cos everyrule has an exception(ok not everyone but still)
the trailer for the SE was relesed really early like one of the first things relesed so there was a long wait from trailer and game

Thanks Laser, that makes sense.
Wait, what? Review copies? So there's gonna be some reviews soon? Sweet.
