Hopefully the game mode is better then PLR. PLR maps I loathe. Which I've high hopes it will. Maybe they're finally bringing Assassination or protect the civillian maps? :O I also think with the Polycount each class should'be got an update then some of the others got extras. Hopefully that happens.
Trading, cool but I doubt I'll use it.

Sounds like a nice update, I hope in the process they fix the Heavy's Sandvich and don't ruin other class items that didn't need it. I say, if they want to keep the spawn rate on the Sandvich, then atleast allow the heavy to move at a slow speed.

PLR isn't a bad mode, it's just that Pipeline is a terrible map. The new one is GREAT, especially for flaregun practice.

Yeah, High Tower's not bad but I still don't like PLR.

Do you have them already or we have to wait?

    I have them now.

How do the grenades work if they're purely cosmetic but are in his hands surely he needs his hands for his weapons, they've confused me a bit
  • edited August 2010
I would assume they replace the ones on his belt and he only has one in his hands for his kamikaze taunt. But that's just a guess.

Anyway, I already posted this in the last item you bought thread, but I've made a huge find for my BLU Spy costume. I'm excited, dammit!

You'd get use out of that bad boy afterwards as well. If you're not in a suit at least once a week, you may very well be doing it wrong

They replace the grenades on his belt thingy. The 'nades in his hands were posed in.

Also, apparently, when you use the Equalizer Taunt, the granades do a different sound than normal. And I already melted all my equalizers for try to make a hat T_T

Agreed. I really wish we had another PLR map though. Regular Payload is the best mode in my opinion and Badwater, Goldrush, and Hoodoo are all a ton of fun. It sucks to basically just have one PLR map worth playing.

The only thing I don't like about PLR is that some people do not seem to get the concept that you need to have some of your team pushing the cart, while others defend the other cart. You can't have everyone doing the same thing or you will lose.

PS: My Steam ID is Calbearsteve - anyone feel free to add me as a friend if you want to play. I am usually playing sometime in the afternoon or evening pacific time. I have only been playing this game for a few months, but I am definitely not as bad as some.

PLR is fine if you have smart people. Else one of the worst maps. Just like that on CP map where there's a-e and everyone just rushs B then E.

Yes! I think you are talking about Steel. I hate it when people try to do that. Although it is even worse when you are on defense on that map and your engineers don't build any sentries at E, and that strategy you mentioned actually works.

The strat works with me because I'll take A for my team then just spam B with everyone else. Then when they do nothing but focus on B I go for E because everyone is focused on B, even the other team. And I go in all sneaky like with me and a few friends to capture E.

Okay, here is a random TF2 question for all those veterans out there.

Why do so many servers use All-Talk? I feel like it is impossible to set up strategy with everyone on the other team able to hear everything you say.

Use team-speak then. All talk is useful.

He means Team-speak the program. A lot use all talk because the game is very casual, and not competitive as CS, or Badcompany 2.

I loves me a bit of team-speak, sure it elminates competitive elements but I likes me a busy server with hustle and bustle

I'm the one on the far left. My disguise mask is a Sandvich. That is all.
  • edited September 2010
Is the other guy's disguise mask Stephen Colbert?
  • edited September 2010
No, I think it's someone from Fox News. At least all my stupid masks were anime or game related (like Mudkip, Haruhi, and Pedobear). His were things like Morgan Freeman.

    OOOOH!!! Weapon idea!

Stack of cards! It's exclusive to the Heavy, has the TTG logo on it, and when you use it, he takes out his cards, and then EATS THEM.

    Sandvich replacement!
