So, I literally just got this game about.. say... 2 weeks ago. It's awesome. I'm a total backstabber, but hey, someone's gotta do it. Actually, I got TF2 the same time I finally installed steam. That's awesome too. I only have 2 steam friends. Add me. http://tf2stats.net/player_stats/Awesome74
I only bought it today, but if you give me time, I should get the hang of it soon. Play a game later? Anyway, just wondering about something. I could get the Sam & Max items, I just added the code. Somehow I now have The Devil's Playhouse on Steam. Is that normal?
The code was for the TF2 items. Not The Devil's Playhouse. It didn't say anything about items, just to download the episodes, which I already bought on Telltale.

Yeah, but for Steam to know to give you the items you gotta have the games on your account, you don't have to download em to your Steam account or anything, so you get em on here and Steam as well. It's win-win
I'm buying this game in the next week or so. Slightly annoyed that I bought TDP on PS3 and can't get the Sam and Max items.:(
Well I never got them either. I'd love it if Telltale persuaded Valve to give me them. I deserve it more than the people who didn't even play TDP, and bought it only for the hats.

I hope TTG gives the hats out again for Poker Night preorders.

I bet some people did the same for the worms reloaded game.
I've been practisisng, however, I am a bit bad at these sort of games, so this is really my first proper time I have really to tried to get the hang of them. Anyone have any tips to help me? Also, can you only get achievements online, and are some required for weapons and hats?
In general:
- Teamwork. Work with your team. Shoot enemies that are attacking them. Stick close to someone else and combine your firepower.
- Learn when to run away and find health.

Yes, you have to earn achievements online, though there doesn't have to be anyone else on the server (well, for achievements you can get solo). Achievements are not required for any weapons (or hats, which aren't connected to achievements in TF2). You can get all the weapons (except special ones like the Sam & Max items) by random drop and/or crafting. Trading weapons is supposed to be added at some point, as well.

Thanks. Now I know. As for tips, maybe The Heavy, Scout, Spy and The Sniper please?

Actually a lot of achievments are tired to items and every milestone unlocks an item.
What's wrong with TT's server? I was playing last night and my friends and I were skitching around.
Thanks. Now I know. As for tips, maybe The Heavy, Scout, Spy and The Sniper please?
Heavy:
- Learn when to retreat. Charging out and dying works sometimes, but more often (especially when you've got a medic) knowing when you should move back behind cover to recover is important.
- Don't use Sascha/Natascha at long range, it wastes a lot of ammo. Contrary to most video game logic, the shotgun is better.
- Guard your medic! Keep an eye on him and take out pyros as fast as you can.
Scout:
- Unpredictable movement is your friend. Don't run straight towards and enemy if you can help it. Jump and strafe.
- Your pistol has limited ammo, but it's great at longer ranges.
- You need to be close to be effective with the shotgun.
- If your shotgun is empty, either switch to your bat or run away and switch to your pistol. Never stick around reloading.
Spy:
- For the two of the three cloaking watches, picking up metal recharges it. This means you can run longer distances if you know some pickups along your route. (Careful, observant enemies might notice ammo disappearing.)
- Pay careful attention to how players usually move on a map. This will help you avoiding bumping into someone and set up traps.
- Learn class speeds relative to spy. Chasing down a heavy is easy, but you're not going to get much of anywhere running after a medic who is headed to the front line.
- Sap sentries while your team is attacking them, if you can.
Sniper:
- Don't be the guy who is the third sniper on a server, or even the second sniper on a smaller team.
- Keep moving, even a little, while you scan for targets. If you can move and shoot, even better.
- You don't need to headshot a scout if you've got a full charge. Go for the easier body shot.
- Wait for your charge to build if you can, especially when shooting a Heavy being healed. It's the difference between a one-shot kill and a wound that will only help build uber. (A fully charged headshot will do enough to take down a fully-overhealed heavy)
What's wrong with TT's server? I was playing last night and my friends and I were skitching around.
The server is an old 386 that the team couldn't bare to part with so they put it in the breakroom and built a shrine to it, even naming it Bob. Bob can do anything, despite his decrepit hardware (see where the idea for the C.O.P.S. came from?) including run a server for TF2 on his dialup connection.
......ok so I dont know, at least I made an amusing guess!
WHAT??!! If this is not still on sale by the time I get back from the long weekend holiday I'm just about to go on then I will scream. I want this game and was planning on buying it upon my return so that I can play in the TTTAlliance.

That's true, but that's not the only way to get those items. Achievements are not required to get any items.

The Tf2.telltalegames.com one doesn't work.
Look on the steam page for Telltale TF2 that has an IP adress in it.
Aye but it's all cartoony and over the top at the same time, it's not that bad
Tell me what the computer version is like...
A gift from god.
No new Medic items?
