As much as I like the setting and characters of Grim Fandango, I hope that's not what they're up to. A sequel would mess up the perfect structure of the first game (being based on the four year travel to the land of the dead spoken of in certain cultures).
Then again, Pixar are making a sequel to Monsters Inc...

I'd settle for a game that is set in the world of Grim Fandango if it isn't a sequal or prequal, myself. The world is one of the best things about that game. Along with the story, the characters, the puzzles...
Considering I have yet to play any of those games...
COME ON MONKEY ISLAND!!!
It would be stupid buisnes stragety for LA not to license the series to telltale again. They make a lot of money, and only have to contact Dominic and other voice actors, and DONE! Rake in the dough.
I would like to play a new Maniac Mansion ADVENTURE but i don't think it will show up. TOMI2 wouldn't be a surprise and to be excited about it, it needs to be better than TOMI. If it's Grim then i hope they don't ruin it. Even Space Quest or Loom sounds more likely than The Dig, right? *sigh*
Yep, this announcement will essentially determine how my future with Telltale goes. At the moment, it's
"I'll just finish BTTF and then lea...ooh a shiny new adventure game announcement?!!!!! I'm gonna follow it!"
And Technically Hector is being made by another company, I played it, pretty cool. Telltale is helping out on the rest of the episodes with ports to iOS devices.
SOOOO, what do you guys think of the rest of our announcements?
I'm saddened by the lack of Strong Bad or Monkey Island, but King's Quest and Puzzle Agent should be damn good.
Alan, is Puzzle Agent gonna be episodic or another stand-alone game?
OK. So there's no Monkey Island. I'm sure I'll get over it. Eventually. In a few years. On the plus side, I'm glad Puzzle Agent is getting the season treatment it deserves!
But.... No Monkey Island. I.... that just..... hmmm. *sobs uncontrollably*
Wait, if they're doing King's Quest, does that mean lots more random deaths and unwinnable dead end situations? That is, do you think it follow Sierra's different play style?
, scheduled to release for PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad and PlayStation Network, builds on the award-winning puzzler developed in collaboration with indie comic artist and animator Graham Annable. Inspired by the popular Professor Layton games, Puzzle Agent centers on unusual happenings in the Nordic town of Scoggins, Minnesota, and garnered PC Gamer’s Puzzle Game of the Year in 2010, along with much critical acclaim. In the second Puzzle Agent game, ace puzzle investigators will return to the snowy mid-west to help Agent Tethers solve the mystery haunting the realm.
I don't have any emotional attachment to the other franchises, so they'll just be another game for me to enjoy and maybe make me a fan of the franchise.
Well...no Monkey Island.
And Telltale has five projects (as well as BTTF and Jurassic Park) going on for the next few years to keep them busy.
It's not happening now. It might not ever happen.
I was hoping for at least ONE announcement that I would be excited about, but oh well, can't please everybody! I know lots of people are excited for King's Quest, so that's good for them.

Loom is a possibility too, right?
yessssssssssssssssss!!!
Maniac Mansion maybe?

Kings Quest and Puzzle Agent 2
EDIT: Oh, I see!
Holy crap!
But... no Monkeys or Wrestlemen...
But... King's Quest and Puzzle Agent!
But... monkeys...
But... Hidden People!
I'm suffering a strange mixture of depression and happiness. It's... confusing.
me too

I hope not, though it would add some challenge, which would be nice.
Don't forget clever puzzles like 'throw pie at yeti'!
Puzzle Agent 2
That's... really, really disappointing.

Puzzle Agent 2 is the conclusion to the story started in the Puzzle Agent pilot and a single game.

Never played King's Quest, though I'll more than likely check out Telltale's version whenever it comes.
