Sanctum is one of those many games I haven't played yet and don't know the difficulty of.

There are multiple difficulties, so I dont think that will be too big a problem.

    Today's Daily Deal is Dead Island. It's £14.99 / $19.99.
  • edited December 2011
Note how the announcement says 'A new game starts tomorrow. Check back to join in on the excitement!', when none of the past ones have - so I guess the big sale is starting tomorrow. Mentlegen, prepare your wallets for impact.

After the last major sale, I think I'll be all right. There's not a whole lot else for me to want!
  • edited December 2011
There are roughly 50 things left for me to want! Too bad I spent all my money on OTHER PEOPLE.
  • edited December 2011
Oh please. What have OTHER PEOPLE ever done for you?

Oi. Expect OTHER PEOPLE to also be buying you a Christmas gift. I'm waiting for the sale so I can get you a few things. Also, happy birthday.

    It's not my birthday yet!

What, really? How much is not a whole lot; and on that note, how many games do you have in your Steam Library as of now?

He's sitting on 459 with 31 in his wishlist. By contrast, I have 251 and have 45 on my wishlist.

I agree. Also I was quite disappointed that the last Daily Deals were basically repeats of the Deals in the Thanksgiving sale. Did anybody else notice that?

Oh... I have 56 games and 10 on my wishlist... Better break out the ol' wallet!

Last line. I sure hope it's not reffering to the Daily Deal. :p

The first "game" they're referring to, the one that is going on now, is the wishlist giveaway. The game they're referring to that starts tomorrow is probably linked into all the Christmas achievements which, also probably, is tied into the Steam Christmas Sale. The summer sale had a game with the achievements tying into in-game rewards and extra contest entries, and I'm guessing they're going with this model for the Christmas sale as well.

Makes sense. Problem is, I only have a few of my 56 games that include these achievements, and nearly half of them don't work because of my outdated video card.

My current games count (on every console I own) is around 1,000. So I've plenty of games to keep me going. I really don't need any more!

Hey, if you thought there was a Christmas Sale on Steam, then you get to smack yourself in the face, because there is. And it was so obvious that corporal punishment is required.

I could list them all, but that would take ages. So naturally, I'm going to do it. Bear with me!

Also The first Fable game + The Last Chapter was released on Steam today. It's 75% off right now. The discount also carries over to the Fable complete pack which includes Fable The Lost Chapters, Fable III and all the Fable III DLC crap.

Let me save you some time and effort and give you the gist of it:

Sam & Max franchise: 75% off
    The Portal games: 75% off
    Amnesia (!): 75% off
Orcs Must Die is also on special though why would you want to buy this since Orcs are not evil and they clearly don't deserve to die as the title insinuates?
    Max Payne games: 75% off
The Runaway and Pendulo games: 75% off

That's it, nothing else interesting here, move along.

Oh! Metro 2033 is 00% off! That's nice.

    Yeah, I noticed that. Whoops.

I will list all the games on uber sale today, but I won't bother with prices, just how much each one is reduced by.
  • edited December 2011
    That's 2 0 % more off then yesterday!
  • edited December 2011
    Actually, that's now been fixed.

Here's the list, with every one of these being 75% off:

    Anmesia: The Dark Descent
    Bunch of Heroes
    Fable series
    Just Cause 1 & 2
    Max Payne 1 & 2
    Metro 2099
    Orcs Must Die!
Pendulo Studios Adventure Collection (Runaway trilogy and The Next Big Thing)
    Portal 1 & 2
    RIFT
    Sam & Max series
    Singularity

If you want any of these, be patient - Steam is a little slow at the moment, for some unfathomable reason.

What is the price of the Max Payne games? They aren't available in Germany.
  • edited December 2011
Got Fable The Lost Chapters and Fable III w/ all DLC for only $20.00
  • edited December 2011
Neelo sent me a link to a website that tells you how much your Steam account is worth. Here's mine. Steam sales save some... erm... dammit.... stash?
  • edited December 2011
It's pointless to attempt to do anything on Steam right now. The servers are absolutely nuked.

Max Payne series is 75% off. $2.49 for each game.
  • edited December 2011
I hope I win the thing - I could really do with a copy of The Movies, seeing as it's no longer sold by Steam..

Man, you really get screwed over there, don't you? First FEAR, now this.

The bundle for both games is £2.49 or $3.74. Clearly MusicallyInspired didn't have the patience to run a search. Can't say I blame him, the servers really are shot to hell.

Why would your friend buy anything on steam during the months of January, June, July, November, or December?!?

Why would anybody buy anything for full price on Steam ever?
In the case of Portal 2: why buy it on Steam. It's cheaper in a store and it's a lot cheaper in a Keystore.

Keystores are very shady operations, and often deal in stolen merchandise or merchandise sold through fraudulent means. To say it's cheaper in a store generally isn't accurate anyway. I have seen some disparity, but usually Portal 2 seems to be in line with its price online and in stores. And right now, you have the game costing less than $10 on Steam, so yeah.

Speaking of Portal 2... I may have a spare copy I'd be willing to trade...

Yeah, about $18 less than I paid a couple weeks after release.

Ok so I got the free steam inventory "gift".

And my one at least is completely useless.

25% of 1 Valve game, valid from the 2nd January -March 1st.

Three things that make it useless:

    1. Valve games are currently 50% off
    2. I own all of the Valve games I want
    3. Can't be used on any Valve game released after the 2nd January

    Thanks Valve.

Shame none of the Steam games I own have achievements for the gift pile either...

    EDIT: 4 REASONS!

    4. The Valve complete pack is 81% off!
    (£25 for all of them!)
