You're just sitting around minding your own business in your various fortresses and they come smashing through the door trying to kill you.

Are you sure they're not just very enthusiastic Avon ladies?

On a mildly related topic, I once found a lipstick that had a small knife blade inside it at my school. It was pretty cool, but unfortunately, I had to turn it in to the high muckedy mucks there so that I wouldn't get in trouble for finding it. That was...only mildly successful.

I feel similarly about Skyrim. Oh, so you're allowed to kill dragons because they're undead and killing undead is okay? I have a 30th level dracolich necromancer who would like to argue that point.

    JK. Actually, I love Skyrim.

And we've met plenty of people who feel that your dracolich should be exterminated with the rest. And if she wasn't so eccentric as to be harmless, I might agree.

The best part is that Burnie is one of those people. It's going to be so funny when/if they meet. It may end in Dragonlancing.

Wait? It had fair Prices in Euros too? No wonder I bought it the moment I saw it.

Today's Daily Deal is Homefront. 7.49, no matter what currency you use. See, if it had been properly converted to a five pound note, I might have bought it. But no. You see what poor price conversion does? IT LOSES SALES. Please, think about that Steam.

There's also some utterly pointless DLC, but it's all about a dollar/pound each, so I can't be bothered to do them.

Anyway. The Weekend Deal is Killing Floor. As well as being free-to-play all weekend, it's down to £3.74 / $4.99. There's also DLC, which I'll list here.

    London's Finest / Nightfall / Post Mortem / Steampunk Character Packs - 49p / 99c each
    Outbreak Character Pack - 74p / 99c
    Steampunk Character Pack 2 - 99p / $1.99

Alternatively, you can get the game together with all the DLC for the low, low price of £5.35 / $7.98.

    Its so AWESOME!

If I had the money I'd buy it twice!

Today's Daily Deal is Homefront. It's not got a price yet though.

Plus, the Weekend Deal is Killing Floor. As well as being free-to-play all weekend, it's down to £3.74 / $4.99. There's DLC, but I need to wait for Steam to update properly before I can list the prices.

    Fix'd that for yah.
  • edited December 2011
I've updated my previous post with the prices, DLC and correct name for Killing Floor. Oops.

Sorry this took so long, I was in the home stretch of Dead Space and didn't want to stop playing 'til I finished it. Ending was a bit obvious (
    Oh, Nicole's dead? Whatever.
) but I enjoyed it overall. On to the next one now!

Today's Daily Deal is The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. The GotY Deluxe Edition is £4.99 / $6.24.

There is the standard GotY edition as well, but you don't want that one. The Deluxe version has extra DLC that simply isn't available on its own anymore, which is annoying. The only way to get it is through the Deluxe edition, which is why I'm telling you to get that one.

    ....interesting game title.

I would buy it but why would anyone get a zombie-game without blood?

    Edit: thanks.

Watch Yahtzee's review of the Half-Life 2 Orange Box. All will make sense.

I don't know if this applies to those in the US or the rest of Europe, but in the UK at least, if you have a Playstation Plus account, then Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse is free.

    Absolutely free.

    Not a penny.

    Nothing.

    ...

    HOLY SHIT IS THIS AWESOME.

I don't think you truly appreciate how much money $0 really is.

Today's Daily Deal is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. £9.99 / £14.99

  • edited December 2011
    i no, rite? sux.

(Sorry, don't quite know where that came fron. But yeah, it's still too much, especially if you're only getting it for the single-player, which I would.)

Amazon US have got a sale on for MMORPGs and RPGs downloads(Also retail versions too, but download ones are cheaper if they have them) which contains some steam games.

Notable deals include Dungeon Siege III and Dungeon Defenders for $5 and $3 respectively. Both of which register on Steam.

Note - If you want to buy from anywhere other than the US you need to put a different billing address. Which also means using a card which doesn't check your billing address for authentication.

Well, crap. I'd quite like ArcaniA - Fall of Setariff, but I live in the UK, so can't get it. Bah.

    Anyone know a decent workaround?

I personally used my prepaid Visa to get around the billing address check, having set my billing address to the US that is.

Either that or get someone from the US to buy it for you and you send them the cash.

...or you could do it for me? [/CheesyGrin]

Bah, doesn't look like Amazon have a gifting option for it, so it seems buying it yourself somehow is the only option. :/

I figured they would, since it's Amazon, but apparently not.

If it's Steam, doesn't it just drop a Steam code in your lap? You know, an alpha-numeric code that you can copy and paste to somebody?

Nah, it isn't Steam. Which causes the problem. Even if I gave him the serial for it, he'd still have the problem of having to download it.
  • edited December 2011
Oh, it's not Steam? Then don't worry about it.

(I've got the rest of the series on Steam, and I thought I could add this one to the rest of them, but if I can't, then it's not really worth it. Thanks anyway.)
  • edited December 2011
Yeah, that's the same as me. I have the rest on Steam, which is why I didn't buy it myself.

    What? It's € 7,49 here. But the first game is € 4,99.
  • edited December 2011
Well, that's just bollocks. Were you actually interested in it?
  • edited December 2011

Today's Daily Deal is the King's Bounty series. Here's the list:

    King's Bounty: The Legend - £2.49 / $3.74
    King's Bounty Expansion: Crossworld - £3.74 / $4.99
    King's Bounty: Armoured Princess - £4.99 / $6.24

There's also a couple of bundle deals that I can't be bothered to post here. They're easily the best way to get the games.

Also, this week's Midweek Madness is The Witcher II: Assassins of Kings. £15.59 / $23.99.
