    The current Weekend Deals are:

    Saint's Row The Third @ 50% off (though, DLC is not) @ $24.99 / £14.99

and Payday:The Heist @ 50% off to buy, and free to play for the weekend @ $9.99 / £7.49

However, Saints Row 2 is also on sale at 75% off @ $3.75 / £ 2.50 (one wonders why it wasn't mentioned).
(I recommend that if you do get Saints Row 2, you also download the Gentlemen of the Row modpack as it claims to include some bugfixes)

As well as this, Two Worlds II (and Pirates of the Flying Fortress) is half-price for absolutely no reason at all.

    Two Worlds II - £9.99 / $14.99
Two Worlds II: Pirates of the Flying Fortress - £7.49 / $9.99

...or get them both in the oddly-named Two Worlds II: Velvet Edition for only £12.49 / $19.99.

Oh, and Rayman Origins is available for pre-order. Do so and you get a free copy of Rayman II, as if you didn't have it already (seriously, I've got it on like three different consoles).

    I have no console so I don't have it.:D

PC, PS2 and DS for me. It also came out on the N64, PS1, Dreamcast and 3DS. Also worth noting I bought the PC version twice after the first CD broke. Still not sure how that happened.

Today's Daily Deal is Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Buy it. Now. It's only £3.74 / $4.99.

Truly an excellent game, if marred by a ton of bugs on release. Not sure what kind of state it's in now.

Fan patches fixed a lot of those issues. And good thing to, there were indeed loads.

Today's Daily Deal is Atom Zombie Smasher. £1.49 / $2.49
  • edited March 2012
I still have a free copy of that game if anyone wants it. Also: I'm not sure if I should get Saints Row 2.
  • edited March 2012
I would say get it, but you have it now, so I guess that's a tad redundant. :D

Make sure you use the Gentlemen of the Row mod if you're gonna try it. Fixes an awful lot of port-related issues.

Saints Row 3 is rather tempting, but I think I'll have to pass on that one.

They released too much DLC for that one by now. I'd wait for a gold edition or GOTY edition with all the DLC in it.
  • edited March 2012
Oh lord, they have as well. Ignoring the Season Pass, there's 10 bits of DLC. Ten.

Yikes. and one is a cheat code pack. Really? First Capcom now this?
  • edited March 2012
Oh yeah, forgot that one. Ugh. Worst DLC ever.

Today's Daily Deal is Recettear - An Item Shop's Tale. If you're at all into RPGs, get this. It's £4.41 / $6.79.
  • edited March 2012
I think it's horrible. But if you like the art style and RPG-ish games get this.
  • edited March 2012
Recettear is pretty fun. Combines RPG with running a shop. When I played the demo a few years back I knew I wanted that game, so I almost immediately bought it after it got released.

    Capitalism, ho!

Just a quick note to say that I won't be able to post today's Daily Deal, since I have to do an all-nighter at work.

If someone else could fill in for me this evening, I'd very much appreciate it!

Well, I'm at my computer so I guess I'll do it.

Today's deal is Gish, a fun old indie platformer for £1.49/$2.49.

On the off chance you don't already own it from a bundle somewhere, you really should pick this one up.

Or ask me. I still have a spare Key for the game.

Me too. I have two extra keys.

    Thanks for that.

Today's Daily Deal is Dead Horde. If you remember Zombies Ate My Neighbours, it's basically that without the kid-friendly filter. £1.99 / $2.49 for one copy, or £2.99 / $3.74 for 2 so you can gift one to a friend.

Also, the Midweek Madness is 66% off most Sims 3 stuff, including the core game itself, which is 10.19, whatever your currency, which explains why I'm not buying it. Stupid non-converted prices, grumble grumble.
  • edited March 2012
    it's 15,29€ in Germany. That's even more of a rip-off. stop complaining.
  • edited March 2012
Still bugs me when they can't be bothered to properly convert the price, but yes, I concede that once again Europe gets screwed over worst when it comes to Steam pricing.

Double Fine's Stacking is now available on Steam, and it's 33%-off until March 13th, $9.99
A bundle w/ Psychonauts and Costume Quest is $19.99
    Psychonauts $4.99 / 50%-off
    Costume Quest $7.49 / 50%-off
  • edited March 2012
Okay, so, The Sims 3 EPs. Yay. Now I have to choose between Night Life and World Adventures. Because I'm broke.

Added UK prices. Thanks for mentioning it, I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

And in the wonderful Steam universe a $ still is a € but nevertheless if you today buy a copy of Psychonauts who gets the money after Steam got its share?

Double Fine acquired the rights to Psychonauts last summer, before it first came out on Steam. I don't think Majesco has any claim on money from Psychonauts sales now, except maybe from physical media.
  • edited March 2012
Why can't i then buy a copy of Psychonauts for OS X/Win for instance on the Double Fine store or on a site like GOG?
  • edited March 2012
Because they chose to put it on Steam?

    The fact remains:
"Psychonauts is ™ and © 2011, Double Fine Productions, Inc."

So they sell hardcopies of the game for every other system on the DF store except PC/Mac. This doesn't make sense to me. I guess they buy the console versions on their own, sign them and resell them. Why does this exclude PC/Mac? GOG only hosts the PC version, i don't know if GOG is primary about PC only. Anyway i would like to buy a few copies as presents but i also want DF to get most of the money and i generally feel ripped off by Steam's conversion rate.

Sooooo, can anyone suggest which of the two EPs I should take? I'm talking about either Late Night or World Adventures. Pets is out of the question, as I don't give a damn about pets, and I actually wanted the Katy Perry Collector's Edition of Showtime, but that's not going to happen because I don't have the money for that one.

You're right. According to Wikipedia it was first released on Steam October 11th, 2006.

Depends which you're more interested in: travelling to new locations and going on quests, or becoming a celebrity, partying all night and becoming a vampire.

From what I can tell they're both fairly good and what they do, it's just a matter of personal preference as to which one you want. I've only ever played the core Sims 3 game, so the expansions do nothing for me.

    Ah, new page. Lovely.

    Today's Daily Deal is Blade Kitten. £3.49 / $4.99.

Today's Daily Deal is Prototype. Fun, but still a little pricey at £7.49 / $14.99.
(not properly converted, but since the UK comes out on top, I won't complain for once, yay)

Also a couple of other deals, so pay attention!

First up is another Daily Deal, of sorts. Football Manager 2012, which is 60% off for yourself OR 75% off if you buy it as a gift for someone else and you already own the game.

Confusing, right? Well, the 66% off bit I can give prices for - £7.99 / $11.99. Can't tell you the 75% off Giftable price, since I don't actually own it (and nor do I want it, I hate football), but take another buck or two off the price and you won't be that far off.

The other offer is the 2K Games Weekend. I'm guessing this is the actual Weekend Deal. Or I could be wrong. Who knows? A different deal every day until Monday, with the entire 2K collection having some form of random discount. Woo randomness, I guess.

Today's Deal is the Borderlands series. I won't do prices since there's DLC and four-packs and GotY editions and whatnot, but basically everything Borderlands related is 75% off, so if you don't already have it and are interested (and I confidently predict that by this point no-one falls under that category), then go check it out.

I will point out a few random 2K titles that have some form of discount, though I wouldn't recommend buying them now. Wait until Sunday - that way you can see if any of them get any further discounts over the weekend.

    Anyway, current deals include:

    Bioshock 1 / 2 - 50% off
Duke Nukem Forever series - 50% off
Freedom Force series - 50% off
    Mafia series - 50% off
    Sid Meier's Civilization V series - 50% off
THE DARKNESS 2 - 25% off (hasn't that just come out?)
X-Com series - 50% off (make sure you get the pack if you're interested, it's basically 5 for the price of 3)
