Dude, Borderlands is always going on sale.

Wait, wasn't one of those coupons from the X-Mas Sale, was it?

    Yeah it was.

This game uses G4WL. Even the Steam version. I see no reason why it shouldn't work. Also: don't play the multiplayer DLCs.
    Wasn't planning on it!

Today's Daily Deal is inMomentum, which I swear has been a DD before. £3.49 / $4.99.
  • edited March 2012
It was in the indiegala bundles.
And yes it must have been on sale before.

Daily Deal is Burnout: Paradise - The Ultimate Box. £3.74 / $4.99, which is a good price for a good game.

Midweek Madness is L.A. Noire. Half price at £9.99 / $14.99. If you don't already have it, then GET THIS.

Other Midweek Madness is Orcs Must Die! £2.99 / $3.74.

Also, it's not a sale per se, but new release All Zombies Must Die! is 20% off at £5.59 / $7.99. It's out-and-out calling itself a spiritual successor to Burn Zombie Burn!, and it looks pretty good.

Nope, sorry. Wasteland 2 for $15 is a better deal.

No. Get the Complete Edition with all the DLC cases for 20$. The DLC cases are easily the most memorable of them all and absolutely worth the higher price.

The PC version is the Complete Edition.

EDIT: Oh wait, no it isn't. My bad. The Complete Edition is on there, as you say, but for some reason I thought it was the only version you could get, and that's not actually the case. Oops!

Yeah, the Complete Edition (the one you should get) is £12.29 / $19.99.

They only had the complete Edition available for a while. Now they have both with an upgrade option.

gah! I shouldn't have spent money on that Civ 5 DLC. I want LA Noire.
  • edited March 2012
    der_ketzer - That explains it.

Chyron8472 - Surely that's what overdrafts were invented for?

oh, I'm not broke. I'm just feeling guilty.

I do have other reasons for which to save money instead of spending it all on games.

Welcome to my world. Lately I can't seem to stop leaving a games store without buying something (stupid Game and its money problems). Somewhere in the distance, I can hear my wallet crying. It's a horrible sound.

    Today's Daily Deal is Majesty 2. £1.74 / $2.49.

As a side note, I won't be able to do this tomorrow due to another late night at work. Bah.

Oh FINALLY they have Toejam & Earl again.

Not that I actually like the game, I just want it to complete my collection of Genesis / Mega Drive games on Steam.
  • edited March 2012
Kinda weird how they just drop ToeJam & Earl 2 on us with no warning at all (and at $3.99, far too high a price).

    The Weekend Deals are:
    Anno 2070 at 40% off. $29.99 and
Dungeon Defenders(game and some DLC, too much to bother listing) at 50% off. Prices vary.

The Daily Deal is Unstoppable Gorg at 50% off. $4.99

Sorry, I don't know how to find the overseas pricing. None of the games interest me at all. Eh.

Let's do it in a proper manner then. Because I care.

    The Weekend Deals are:

Europeans get fucked over once again. Avoid.

Wow. That's... way more then I would have done! Thanks!
  • edited March 2012
Way more than I did do. Judging by the fact no one had anything to say all day, I'm assuming I'm not alone when I thought they sounded shitty.
  • edited March 2012
I really get annoyed when people have everything except for the newest DLC on sale, like they're doing with the Dungeon Defenders thing.
  • edited March 2012
They are releasing Eteria Shards part II today. And it will not be on sale too. Just like the 4-pack with all 4 of the packs as soon as they are released. That alone costs the same amount as the game without a discount. Sounds really bad to me.
  • edited March 2012
A little early, but then so's Steam. Today's Daily Deal is Rochard. £3.99 / $4.99. Try it! You may like it.

Oh, and Dungeon Defenders: Eternia Shards: Part Deux is now out.

Also: Myst 5 has been released on Steam right now. AVOID this game.

    Sigh another Myst hater.

No. I just hate Myst V. Because it is not a Myst game. It's not even a good game.

    I enjoyed Myst 5 quite a bit.
  • edited March 2012
Gonna have to side with my German friend on this one, the series really started going downhill after Riven.
  • edited March 2012
I quite liked Exile. Just haven't finished it yet. Never gotten to the 4th and 5th ones yet. Or even Uru. They require an immense amount of time and it's funner when you play them with someone else.
  • edited March 2012
As Yahtzee says: So is watching Hudson Hawk.
  • edited March 2012
    I quite liked Exile.

    Best game in the series.
Revelation was great but had some really stupid puzzles.
End Of Ages was utter crap. Looked worse than Myst 4. Has this "great new element" that makes you draw symbols on a stone plate to end the worlds... And you will draw stupid symbols. A lot.
  • edited March 2012
Well that's kind of sad. Wasn't Myst 5 the one that Cyan actually went back to and developed themselves again? (Where Exile and Revelations were developed by some third party, isn't that right?)

Anyone here have problems where steam just randomly fails and restarts? I can't do anything before I have "no connection".

Yeah, but that's because my ISP throttles me regularly.

I'll take this moment and get 12 :D
  • edited March 2012
Ah, but the store page displays a different price, which is why I haven't posted the Daily Deal yet!
  • edited March 2012
Myst 5 is actually decent, in my opinion. It's got nice atmosphere and some nice puzzles. I will agree that every other game in the Myst series is better than Myst 5, but personally I'd say it's worth playing if you enjoy the Myst style of adventure gaming. The tablet was a bit wonky (at least once I accidentally drew the symbol that took me to a later part of the game, whoops) but as a way of taking the concept of building worlds through writing and turning it into a game mechanic, I thought it was reasonably clever even if it wasn't executed perfectly. I wouldn't say avoid the game, just go into it with your expectations a little lower than the rest of the series. I'd say it's worth playing if you really like the Myst series but it's pretty safe to skip it if you don't care for it, since it is a notch or two below the others.

Well that's kind of sad. Wasn't Myst 5 the one that Cyan actually went back to and developed themselves again? (Where Exile and Revelations were developed by some third party, isn't that right?)

Yeah. While Cyan Worlds was working on Uru (sigh), Ubisoft used the licence to make a couple more games. I think they were both pretty good, though I agree that Myst 4 had a small handful of incredibly annoying puzzles. I don't know if I'd say that Myst 3 Exile is the best, but it's definitely the most balanced.
