This sound like a DLC designed for a very specific audience. Also, since trains only go on rails in one direction, doesn't this make the battle rather one-sided? Though, since trains don't have brains, I'm not really sure why zombies would be after them in the first place.
You're only just noticing this? It happens all the time!
This is what happens when a game goes off sale. It still gets displayed in the 'Specials' section, but since it's not on offer, the discount is 0%. It's not new, that's just what happens before the page updates properly.

Several Steam games of mine have misleading (ie. inflated) play times shown for them because I have nasty habit of leaving my game running paused in the background without turning it off. It's a habit I picked up from the old console days for games with no manual save option (yet lately I've been doing this to games like Mass Effect, Just Cause 2, Arkham Asylum and Saints Row 2).
I always used to do this for console games. Pause the game, disconnect the controller, and when I come back to it later I'm right where I was without having to boot the game up.

Does anyone else do this?
All the time. I stop to eat or watch a movie. Hell, I have one paused right now as I type this.
It happens to me, but not exactly like that... My game-time usually gets inflated for UbiSoft games because of the UbiLauncher. Their Launcher doesn't close automatically when the game exits, and I tend to forget to close it. And it still counts as in-game.

In fact, I think I also do this with my Wii.
That's....gotta be taxing on hardware. I'd be afraid to do that. I mean, I leave my computer on all the time, but not running a game where my graphics card is constantly running. I'd say the same for the PS3 (which has frozen and crashed on me) and especially the 360 (considering its history). The Wii, I don't know. I honestly don't use it so much to need to leave it on. But it does get hot. Heat scares me.
One day I left my NES on and paused when I came home for lunch one day from school. After school I came home and the cartridge was toast. System still worked but the game never ever worked again. Yes, that was an older system. But I'd say today's graphics processors are just as fragile. Especially the high-end ones.

I never had console issues as a result of leaving a game on too long. In fact, it may be the opposite that started it all for me. My NES sometimes didn't save game data to the cartridge after my parents played Legend of Zelda when I was a kid (ie. their whole save file was lost.) After a time, they realized it wasn't my fault, having falsely-accused me more than once of forgetting to hold the reset button while turning off the power. Between the time that we discovered the console was faulty and when my parents sent it in to Nintendo to get fixed, they just left the game on between sessions.
Besides, I would think the only parts at risk would be moving parts. I don't know the lifespan of the (newer) Wii's system fan, but I figure it's long enough that I don't have to worry about it. My PS1 was the model with vents on the sides (though still with the additional port on the back) so I never gave a thought to resting it on carpet. As for cartridge-based systems, no moving parts means far less susceptibility to breakdown, so if they were going to break they would do so sooner rather than later anyway.
As for computers, I leave my desktop PC on all of the time.

I do it on my PC. Mainly because I'll be playing just fine and then one of my parents calls me away for something. I think it will be short so I pause the game and it ends up taking three hours.
I've since learned to also SAVE my game when I pause it.
I've had two video card fans die on me as a result of being under constant use and strain (running graphics) for too long. The first one just up and died altogether and the card can't even run properly anymore. Discolouration and artifacts just started going all over the screen. They were both ATI cards, though. Nevertheless, I take no chances anymore. And those aren't my only experiences, but two good examples. I just fear for graphics processors overheating. Especially when overclocked.

Well, my computer tends to go to sleep after about fifteen minutes and with the power supply I've got, the entire thing basically shuts off except for three lights. So, my playtimes aren't THAT inflated, I guess.
I'm guessing it's only when he's not running a game. PCs tend to count games as 'something', even if they're paused, otherwise it would just piss people off when they have to answer the phone and their game quit on them without any warning.
I have a habit of leaving console games paused (or worse, just leaving the console on after I quit a game), but not PC games, since I do other stuff on that. Like visit forums, hint hint.
If that's what he's talking about, he's missing the point. Chryon leaves his games paused, which is what I would be afraid of with regards to causing damage. I leave my computer on all the time as well. Just not in a game. Unless it's like ScummVM or DOSBox or something. But anything that uses the graphics processor will get constantly taxed when paused. Also, screensavers don't come on in a game. So you're leaving your monitor in the hands of the fates, another thing I'm paranoid about.
Today's Daily Deal is the Spellforce series. The game on the front page is Spellforce 2: Gold Edition, but really both games in the series are 75% off, and there's a bundle for both that saves you even more.
(Worth noting the store pages for both games are f**ked, displaying '#app_39550_content' under the 'About the Game' section, which is useful. In short, they're both pretty good crosses between RPG and RTS).
Also, Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Augmented Edition) is 75% off over at GreenManGaming.

Wonder what happened there? Just someone typing the wrong thing?
You would have to get a lot more copies if you want to fund their DLCs with it.
1320€ for all packs. INSANE.
$1,800 for us.
99 DLCs? WTF game. And it came out Nov. 11th the game is not even a year old!
It kinda is. They carried over the DLC from the 2011 version of the game.
so a year old then. Not even EA and Activision do this.
Now tell me they either do, or one of them published it.
WHAT THE HELL???
Wait, "Trains vs. Zombies?" The hell?

Today's Daily Deal is Peggle + Peggle Nights. £2.37 / $3.39 each, or £4.75 / $5.09 together.
As far as casual games go, these are pretty fun. I recommend both of them.
Also, Peggle Nights has bonus levels that can be obtained from PopCap for free: http://www.popcap.com/extras/peggle/bonuslevels/
...Really? Wasn't Plants vs. Zombies, a much more recent game from them, $2 in a Daily Deal just a few weeks ago?
EDIT:Can't really see that(Sorry), but its 0% off on all specials.

Oh. Never once seen it actually.
Does anyone else do this?
I do. But only for "The Graveyard".
In fact, I think I also do this with my Wii.
