Today's Deal at G2Play isn't on Steam, so I won't bother with it.
Today's Daily Deal on Steam is Numan: Contest of Heroes. £1.74 / $2.49.
Two Midweek Madnesses this, uh, week.
First: Evochron Mercenary. Never heard of it before, but the store page makes it look like Freelancer or X. So basically a first-person space sim. The type that apparently doesn't get made any more. £9.99 / $14.99.
Other one's Dead Space. £2.49 and £3.75 for 1 and 2 respectively, or $4.99 each.
Well one of them is free on their website so you only pay for one of them technically. Also: why are Breath of Death 7 + Cthulu so cheap. Both excellent games. Both in a cheap bundle.:D
Because they're low-budget niche titles. No voice acting, the art style is "intentionally bad", they're running on an old game engine and the humor is very much targeted at fans of Lucas Arts adventure games.
I've been trying to make my way through "Ben There, Dan That", and I'm making very slow progress because I find the interface frustrating and the "music" drives me batty because it's so repetitive. For me, the humor doesn't make up for it. It's a little too wordy and on-the-nose for my tastes.
If you're not a serious adventure game fan, then these two games aren't even worth $1.
I bought Gemini Rue just before easter. It's awesome. I think it got two 10/10s in the Rate the Last Game You Finished thread, and I can't say I disagree with that.
Today's Daily Deal is The Cursed Crusade. £8.99 / $14.99.
The Weekend Deal is, frankly, pointless. It's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, down to the price it should have been when it was first released - £26.99 / $39.99. It's still far too expensive though, so I wouldn't bother.
MW3's multiplayer is also free-to-play this weekend, if you're interested. I'm not, since I'm a single-player gamer, and the MW3 single player mode wouldn't even last me a day, let along a weekend.

Especially when games like TF2 and Tribes:Ascend are free...
So, uh, I don't know what the Daily Deal is. It hasn't appeared yet.
...so, um.
...other deals!
Serious Sam 3: BFE is on offer at £10.20 / $13.60, which is a good price for that. For an extra £2.38 / $3.40 you can also upgrade to the Deluxe edition (literally, it's either that to upgrade or just add that to the standard price to get it from scratch) which includes trailers, DLC, the OST, a digital artbook and the original Serious Sam First & Second Encounters, the latter of which are giftable if you already have them. That's a pretty good deal!
There's also Sniper Elite, which is £2.24 / $2.49. Not much else to say about that one.
Uh, that's about it. A few new releases with a buck or two off, but that's the highlights. Hmm.
Isn't it one of the unauthorized resellers that Valve like to censore from the forum ?
It's an unauthorized seller who mainly sells foreign copies which retail for cheaper than they would in EU/US. If you are wanting to buy a cheap foreign copy, you're better off buying it directly from an official retailer in that country though. G2Play often put quite a large mark up.
They've got a somewhat questionable way of authorising you (they asked for my IP number and a scan of someone else's ID card, which he understandably refused to give them), but they do also have some good deals as of late. I wouldn't have mentioned them here if they didn't! For example, Steam keys for Saints Row: The Third or The Witcher 2 for £13.04 each, both of which run out on Thursday.
I haven't been mentioning them of late because their daily deals, which admittedly are only slightly better than their standard promotions, have gone from being on Steam to being on Origin, which nobody here likes. Ugh.
OK, completely off-topic, but how'd you strike out the text in that quote? I can't quote you and find out, since it's, you guessed it, in a quote, which doesn't appear when you try and quote the quote in the post.
First is Bastion. £4.59 / $5.99, or £6.79 / $9.98 for the game and the soundtrack (£2.39 / $3.99 on its own).
The other is Dustforce. £3.49 / $4.99, or £4.49 / $6.49 to get the soundtrack too (£1.24 / $1.99 on its own).
Today's Daily Deal is the Crazy Machines Complete Pack. Well, it's also the individual games inside the pack as well, but the complete pack's much better value at £14.99 / $24.99. Lots of games in that, should keep the women quiet for a while.

Also on offer, for absolutely no reason that I can see, is the Game of the Year edition of Morrowind, which is half price at £6.49 / $9.99, along with both versions of Oblivion. If you want the latter, for the love of Dragonborn get the Deluxe Edition (£9.99 / $12.99) as opposed to the standard GotY one (£7.49 / $9.99). It's got extra stuff you honest-to-god can't get anywhere else.
Also on offer, for absolutely no reason that I can see
Tenth anniversary of the release of Morrowind. Morrowind is easily one of my favorite RPGs, so it comes highly recommended.
Midweek Madness has Dustforce and Bastion on offer for $4.99 and $5.99 respectively. Both are excellent games. Dustforce is a gorgeous platformer with a speedrun and finesse focus. Also of note: The Dustforce composer is doing the soundtrack for the Double Fine Adventure documentary. Bastion, well, everyone knows Bastion. Top-down action-RPG with a procedural narration, where the Narrator chimes in only as you do things.

This post is brought to you by Killer Instinct and the C-C-Combo Breaker.
Today's Daily Deal is the Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please! double pack. 60p or a single dollar.
If you do not already own these games, BUY THEM. They are hilarious, and an absolute bargain.

Gotta remember the "retail purchases" AKA ttg buyers who are using codes.
Speaking of which, never got my code. I preordered last week dang it!
Have you told them?
Yes. On the 9th page. I wish I knew how far into that Telltale are.
Didn't send any support or anything, just waited for it.
Might play it in a little bit.

Today's G2Play.net Deal of the Day is Red Faction: Armageddon at £8.16, which is still twice what it's worth.
Yay!

Also gameplay video of the single player*:

*may not actually contain gameplay from Modern Warfare 3. I just cannot tell which part this is. They are all the same.

Thanks for posting that. Wonder what took them so long to put it up?
Those rounding bastards.
You just woke my neighbour up. By making me laugh very loud. lol!!

...I've just confused myself.
I believe the strike tags are custom which is why they don't have a button. Generally, it's either "s" or "strike" on vBulletin when it's added.
(thank you)
EDIT: Today's Daily Deal is Supreme Commander II. £3.39 / $5.09.
The Infinite War Battle Pack DLC is also on offer at £2.37 / $3.39.
I suggest picking this one up.
First is Bastion. £4.59 / $5.99, or £6.79 / $9.98 for the game and the soundtrack (£2.39 / $3.99 on its own).

10th Anniversary of Morrowind.

10 years since Morrowind? Really? Wow. I got it shortly after if came out. I feel old now.
