Plants vs. Zombies is so good. One of my most played games.
Dear Esther is not a game. It's a book. A visually pleasing book. I really enjoyed it but you can still get the free SourceMod-Version.
PvZ is actually REALLY good for what it is, a slimmed-down casual tower defense game. It has that addictive quality that a lot of these have, and I had way more fun with it than I should have(Steam says I put 32 hours in before I finally stopped).
Today's Daily Deal is C.I.D. The Dummy, a 2½D sidescroller. 87p / $1.24.
For the love of god, do NOT buy this. I tried it, and it is a terrible, terrible game. Even at this price, stay away.
Oh, and there's also DLC for... Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter? The hell? Anyway, as a result, the Serious Sam Complete Pack, which has EVERY SINGLE SERIOUS SAM GAME AVAILABLE ON STEAM, is 75% off at £16.25 / $21.75, which is an excellent price for all the stuff you get.
(For the record, that's both the original and HD versions of The First & Second Encounters, this DLC, Serious Sam II, Serious Sam 3: BFE, Double D and The Random Encounter).
...wait, how was there an upgrade? Upgrade from what?
The core game has now changed to a free-to-play multiplayer-only version, with the campaign now set out as DLC. So, essentially, the campaign we've always owned has to be given back to us via DLC, because the core game has become something less than it initially was. It's not an upgrade for us, the previous owners of this content, but rather just a shifting of classification.

Ah, thank you. What a confusing way of going about it!
This 'Legend of the Beast' DLC though... that's actually new stuff as opposed to the original single-player stuff, right?
Also, if the PC port of Saints Row 2 is anything to go buy, it's best played on a console.
Also on sale at GamersGate (and redeemable on Steam) is Blades of Time, which is 20% off. If you're gonna get it, I'd recommend the Special Edition, which is only a fraction more expensive than the standard edition and adds some DLC, the soundtrack, wallpapers, an art book and a 'limited edition map for the Outbreak mode', whatever that is. Link to the UK version.
Today's Daily Deal is Take On Helicopters, a game about flying, well, helicopters. £15.99 / $24.99.
In place of a Weekend Deal (at least I think it's in place of one, I'm not sure yet) we get an Ubisoft Weekend! The entire Ubisoft catalogue is 33% off, and each day one particular franchise gets even bigger reductions!
Today we get the Ghost Recon series. Here's the full list:
You can also pre-order the Deluxe edition of Ghost Recon: Future Warrior for the same price as the standard edition, so if you wanted it, now's a good time to go get it!
For those who can use Amazon's downloadable games service, Scary Girl is $4.99 and redeems on Steam.
There's a bunch of other stuff on sale too. Slickdeals has details. Stuff that redeems on Steam includes:
Bioshock $4.99 ; Bioshock 2 $4.99 ; both for $7.49
Metro 2033 $4.99
Square Enix Ultimate Collection $7.49
Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga $5.99
GamersGate has Saints Row 3, and for the first time to my knowledge, most of the DLC, on sale. Even the Season Pass is half-off.
MotherF**ker. I got Just Cause 2 to WAIT for Saints Row 3 to go on sale. Ehh Gamersgate is really screwy with me, so I'll pass anyway. Odds are this game will go on sale during the Steam Summer Sale(they have those right? Last year wasn't the first time?)
Meh, I need to pay for my VPS anyway. I only had about enough money for Resonance (the digital copy), and I need to save up for either the collector's edition (which is $24,99) or just the Steam version. Because I'm a completionist and Wadjet Eye Games rules. Other than that, I still need to save up to be able to afford the Katy Perry edition of The Sims 3: Showtime, as well as that expansion pack that's supposed to come out which also involves Katy Perry.
I seriously cannot believe it's that cheap. Anyone who wants it and doesn't buy it at that price is a moron.
Seriously. This game gets more awesome every time I think about it. I never once thought of
how the "Sink the base and kill all, including yourself" choice was representing that of Daledous and Icarus. I knew the metaphor was there throughout the game, but not once thought of the endning. That is brilliant!
Starting May 24th and going through June 1st more than 50 games on Steam go on sale "Because We May", independent publishers are putting their games on sale to highlight the importance for game makers to be able to control the price of their own games.

This is a wonderful idea and I fully support it - just not with my money, since I already have the games I want.
Stacking
Q.U.B.E. (only if they implemented changing controls though. I cannot play anything with WSAD-only controls)
Edit: They added that. Bought. So bought!
Today's Daily Deal is Jamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony, a steam-punk styled SHMUP that I sadly cannot finish due to not being very good at the genre. Still, it's a great game. £2.37 / $3.39.
Today's Ubisoft Saving is the Assassin's Creed series. Pay attention now, quite a few to get through:
Assassin's Creed (Director's Cut) - £2.49 / $4.99 Assassin's Creed II (Deluxe Edition) - £3.74 / $4.99
- Upgrade from Standard Edition (if you have it) - 99p / $1.24 Assassin's Creed II: Brotherhood - £4.99 / $7.49
- Deluxe Edition (includes a bunch of stuff) - £6.24 / $9.99 Assassin's Creed II: Revelations - £14.99 / $19.99
- Gold Edition (includes all DLC mentioned below) - £17.49 / $24.99 RevelationsDLC Ancestors Character Pack - £1.59 / $1.99 Mediterranean Traveler Map Pack - £3.99 / $4.99 The Lost Archive - £3.99 / $4.99
Alternatively, you can buy all the whole damn lot - all four games, with DLC for a mere £28.99 / £44.99.
There's also Strategy Guides for all the games, which I'm not mentioning because really, who here buys them?
AC1 is meh. Boring and nearly turned me off the series.
AC2 is awesome. Great story, gameplay, setting, characters, missions etc.
Brotherhood:Story and characters are good, gameplay is the same as 2 but refined in areas. Missions are highly repetitive and the bonus objectives were made by a moron. No clue on multiplayer.
Revelations: Again, good story but Ezio feels like he's barely involved. Not to mention I barely knew who I was actually against. It was about the last mission I figured that out. Gameplay is the same as the rest, again more refined with more killing fun. Multiplayer is also a blast!
Today's Daily Deal is Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity. £6.49 / $9.99.
The Ubisoft Saving is Anno 2070. The game itself is £17.49 / $24.99, while there's various DLC that I'm not going to list because I can't be bothered. It's all 50% off though, so get it while the iron's hot or something.
Back to just the Daily Deals. Today's is the Painkiller franchise. Only the first one (Black Edition) is considered good and if you're curious about the franchise it should be the only one you purchase, but I'll list them all anyway:
Painkiller: Black Edition (Original Game + Battle Out of Hell expansion) - £1.12 / $1.24 Painkiller: Overdose - £2.24 / $2.49 Painkiller: Resurrection - £2.24 / $2.49 Painkiller: Redemption - £1.12 / $1.24 Painkiller: Recurring Evil (you can say that again) - £2.24 / $2.49
...and the entire series is £6.24 / $7.49. I still say just get the first one, but if you've the time and money to burn...
First of all, the Daily Deal. it's Puzzler World 2. 1.99, whatever your currency (grr).

Two Midweek Madnesses, as seems to be the norm these days!
First, the one that's good. Dead Island and its DLC are 66% off. Here's the list:
Dead Island - £7.99 / $11.99 (or £23.98 / $35.98 for a four-pack with three giftable copies) Dead Island: Bloodbath Arena - £3.19 / $3.99 Dead Island: Ryder White - £3.19 / $3.99
There's also a Strategy Guide, but I can't be bothered to type that one up.
-x-
The other deal is the Thief series. The first two games are now on Steam, so let's celebrate with a bundle:
Thief - The Dark Age Gold Edition - £3.49 / $4.99 Thief II: The Metal Age - £3.49 / $4.99 Thief III: Deadly Shadows - £3.49 / $4.99
And the pack for all three is £9.49 / $13.49.
Comments
Dear Esther is not a game. It's a book. A visually pleasing book. I really enjoyed it but you can still get the free SourceMod-Version.
Zeno Clash $1.99
Super Meat Boy $7.49
Both redeem on Steam
For the love of god, do NOT buy this. I tried it, and it is a terrible, terrible game. Even at this price, stay away.

Not the new DLC...
I just checked. The F2P version of the game is gone. As is the 15€ campaign DLC.
(Probably a bit of both, right?)
It was just an upgrade to the full game which has the same price.
...wait, how was there an upgrade? Upgrade from what?
The free to play version that had the multiplayer only.
This 'Legend of the Beast' DLC though... that's actually new stuff as opposed to the original single-player stuff, right?

All the above: £6.24 / $7.49.
You can also pre-order the Deluxe edition of Ghost Recon: Future Warrior for the same price as the standard edition, so if you wanted it, now's a good time to go get it!

Wait, Square Enix Ultimate Collection?
EDIT: Meh, Amazon...
No it was the second time last year.
Today's Daily Deal is Delve Deeper!, a game I know nothing about. £1.35 / $1.69.
Today's Ubisoft Saving is... actually a couple of games.
From Dust - £5.99 / $7.49
Rayman Origins - £9.99 / $14.99
Shoot Many Robots! - £3.99 / $4.99
Cheapest I've seen it!
(Works pretty good on my PC since I already played the demo)
Instabuy!
(I got Rayman 1-3 on PC via gog as well, so I could play the whole series in one go! )
Deus Ex Human Revolution $5.99
DX:HR Augmented Edition $11.99
either will redeem on Steam.
I seriously cannot believe it's that cheap. Anyone who wants it and doesn't buy it at that price is a moron.
