I'll try and remember to do that as well. Maybe. If I can be bothered. :p

Man, I should start getting paid for all this. Think of the overtime during sales! Woo!

In case anyone hasn't yet seen it - looks like the Telltale bundle for the Steam Summer Sale this year contains:

    Tales Of Monkey Island
    Jurassic Park
    Back To The Future
    Puzzle Agent
    Puzzle Agent 2 & (surprisingly)
    The Walking Dead

Not sure what the discounted rate will be for the bundle - but will be curious to see what "TWD" is priced at.

Where is this mythical 'leaked list' that everyone keeps talking about?

    Today's Daily Deal is...

Click the picture to go to the Steam page. I'll be doing this from now on as well, unless a mod tells me otherwise.

    £3.74 / $4.99. Obligatory TotalBiscuit video.

    Midweek Madness is...

This includes most of the DLC, excluding the recent 'Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards'. TotalBiscuit's videos.

    Say it with me:
Too much overpriced DLC crap means I am not going to buy this.

Hey now. The core game's pretty fun. You don't have to buy the Penny Arcade characters (you totally should).
  • edited July 2012
The only DLC on Steam that is worth having is Wrath Of The Lamb (really good content / $) and the Gamer Robes for Magicka.

    Also Diggle Gods for Dredmor

    Also Diggle Gods for Dredmor

It made my game crash every 15 minutes after I got to the 5 tacked on levels. It was unstable enough without the DLC. :(
Really this game was way too long for a roguelike as unfair as this one before the DLC. After it's not even funny any more.

This is the Telltale Package itself

You can get to the rest of the list from there - but there's some fairly nice bundles that are going to be offered (no pricing at the moment though) - the sale starts tomorrow.

Highlights for me (although I already own a lot of these) -

    *Modern Warfare Bundle (MW 1, 2 & 3)
*Black Ops Bundle (Black Ops + all DLC)
*2K Pack (Bioshock 2; Civilization V + DLC; Mafia 2; Spec Ops: The Line; Duke Nukem Forever & The Darkness 2)-also looks as though there may be a giveaway game included from a fairly large list
*Alan Wake Pack (Alan Wake + DLC; Alan Wake's American Nightmare)
*Batman Pack (Arkham Asylum GOTY; Arkham City + all DLC; Gotham City Impostors)
    *Bioshock Bundle (Bioshock 1 & 2 + DLC)
*Saints Row The Third Bundle (Game + all DLC)
*Bethesda Pack (Brink + all DLC; Skyrim; Fallout New Vegas GOTY)

    £1.99 / $2.49, or £3.49 / $3.99 for the game + all DLC. No TotalBiscuit video, sadly.

Secret: each time someone leaks about the sale, it gets delayed for another 24 hours. True story.

    Well maybe this counts...
From last year's Summer sale. This year's sale will start tomorrow of course. It was clear that it would start on the 12th from the start. Seriously.

I suggest you get all the DLC with this, it's actually quality stuff.

The 12th July? Valve are clearly Unionists :p

I was confusing my dates Australia vs. US.... but yes - Mid-Week Madness finishes at 10:00am as opposed to the standard 4:00pm, the majority of bundles have now been added to Steam, so yes - the 12th, just not "Australian 12th".

    This looks to be true.

BUT I'M AWAY UNTIL AN HOUR AFTER IT STARTS!

I won't be among the first to go "OMG" :(

You mean: OMG Steam is so slow and I can't start or install games.
You just know Steams servers will go sloooooow when it starts.

Might and Magic (franchise) - 33% off
    Portal (franchise) - 75% off
Ridge Racer Unbounded - 50% off
    Terraria - 75% off
Total War (franchise) - 75% off

Even more deals are further down on the right of the page (and so easily missable!). These are only good for a short time so grab 'em now if you want 'em. They are:

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - 75% off
    Mafia II - 75% off
    Rayman Origins - 50% off
    spacechem - 75% off

You can also vote for which of three games you want as the next Lightning Offer. The choices are Batman: Arkham City, Saints Row: The Third and The Witcher II: Assassins of Kings. The vote ends soon, so get going.

    Nothing I want today. Phew.

I survived day 1 as well. Have everything I want.
  • edited July 2012
    Ridge Racer unbounded

also: nothing for me on Day 1.
If the santa thing was on and I had Jake I would get him Grimrock though.
  • edited July 2012
Well, that just makes it sounds like the fun's over.

I just think it's the worst game title since... Lula the wet empire.

IT's not tomorrows deals, it's the next set of Lightning Deals, which start at the end of the given coutndown.

    Oh. Oh no. OH NO!

    I am NOT posting those.

Am I the only one totally underwhelmed by the sales in general? I had my eye on 7 games, 5 of which I was SURE would hit 5 bucks, and only ONE of them has so far.
  • edited July 2012
Not thrilled. Maybe because I already own most of the ones I'd normally be interested in.

There will be more daily deals. Just wait if they will later.
For example: I want "A Valley Without Winds" which is now 40% off. I am sure it will be a daily Deal later.
I also want Quantum Conundrum, which is only 10% off. I am sure it will be 25% off on a daily deal an I'll get it then.

Same. I do own the Might and Magic 6-Pack on GOG, but I don't know why I would want it also on Steam.

I'm wanting to buy The Walking Dead, but I'd personally prefer to buy it from the Telltale Store (because I already have bought a lot of other games via this store). Does anyone know if Telltale every matches Steam prices during these sales?

    They never have.

Also, don't buy it today. That game has been a big seller, I'd be entirely unsurprised if if it was a daily or flash deal.

Oh they have a discount for the Etheria Shards DLC for the first time now. Everyone that bought it yesterday will be pissed.

Serves them right for buying something so close to the start of the sale.
