    They never have.

Also, don't buy it today. That game has been a big seller, I'd be entirely unsurprised if if it was a daily or flash deal.

That stinks. Oh well, Steam it is. :)

And the way I treat Steam Sales is...only buy daily/flash deals until the very last day. Then, buy everything else on sale that never was a daily/flash deal. :D

    Useful. Thanks for sharing!
    Your welcome .

Oh its now called "badges" and can be found in your steam community page. I hope there are prizes, guess its hard to tell since the majority of the badges are "vote once, vote 5 times, etc" and you've only had one chance to vote(there only has been one snapshot deal so far right?)

Um... where? Can't seem to see it.

None to vote on though right? I didn't miss any of the votes(so I can get those points for the badges)

Um... where? Can't seem to see it.

They are on your profile page. They even log past steam sales. Doesn't look like they matter, I just got "pillar of the community" badge and earned nothing.

    You are fine on votes.

Yay. The badges appear to do nothing though, but that is nice to know.

I just want Payday or Lego Batman 2 to go on sale right now.

Oh yeah, I see 'em now. Weird how I didn't earlier.

I see that Focus Interactive pack.

Its one of the very few I don't own most of the games for.

    Anyone play their games? Worthwhile?

    Anyone play their games? Worthwhile?

    Let's see:
    Adventures:
The Runaway games are classics. If you haven't played them you should.
The Next Big Thing is nice. Really nice but has a puzzle in it that made me want to kill the developers. Still recommenbded!
Yesterday: I adore this game. It's short (took about 5 hours) but the story is so gooooood. A more serious take on adventure games but really worth playing.
Sherlock Holmes vs JTR: No clue. Haven't played it yet.

The rest: I haven't played any of these but they aren't really known for their quality.
You can get the good adventure games from this pack in the pendulo adventure pack. Just save yourself money and frustration by getting that one.

    Hmmm...

I think I might leave it for a chirstmas sale.

I did pick up The Dream Machine, since thats 50% off.
(It might get bundled or reduced further, but to be honest, I probably would already have the other games, and I think £6 is a great price for it all)

I played the demo for that before, and really liked it. So I think I might catch up on that one at some point. :D

    We have a winner.
Saints Row³ with 36% of the votes. Nextz round starts in 30 minutes. Great. I wanted to go to bed now...
  • edited July 2012
I'm actually surprised by just how close it was. Or am I? Hmm.

EDIT: Next three are Limbo, Magicka and Trine 2.
  • edited July 2012
And... Saints Row isn't a snapshot deal, but a third type of deal called a "community pick" deal. All right then.

I bet that most of the people that voted on that already owned the game and were hoping for steep DLC discounts...which didn't happen.

All Saints Row 3 DLC is 33% off individually. If you buy the game and all the DLC as a bundle, together it's 76% off.

Dang, I would buy the game but for the fact that I'm really trying to save money right now.

Through all the buzz of The Source Filmmaker going open beta and the Steam Summer Sale, it seems a very interesting annoucment has been overshadowed. Y'know how people complain when a bad game gets on Steam but it takes alot longer for a good game to? Well, introduing Steam Greenlight. Which is basically a Steam Workshop for game developers. This is a cool idea, because now we get to pick and choose games that we want to see on Steam and games we don't. I'm interested to see how/what developers do with it.

    It totally wasn't.

So new Flash Sales Europeans might have missed because they were sleeping:

Warlock Master of the Arcane: 66% off
BTTF: The Game: 75% off (still over 5€, still no buy)
The Force Unleashed 2 75% off

Also on the Community DEal being right now. I wqould have gotten SR³ for that price but I will not because:
German low violence version is only available in German
I'm going back to bed now.

You are GENEROUSLY over-valuing that game.
  • edited July 2012
Some people would pay that just to hear Lloyd doing Doc again. So it does speak to a demographic.

I know I am. But at least it would be a steam copy which makes me want to pay up to 4,99€ more.

I hope Trine 2 wins the next vote.

Because I want to get Trine 2.
(I have the other games, and Trine looks lonely by itself! XD)

Amen to that. We will know in 30 minuits.

Edit: The Flash Sales haven't been updated on the front page but the prices were changed already.
    Darksiders for 75% off (5€)
    And
    66% off of everything Spellforce.

Edit2: I just bought Darksiders and I hope THQ will die choking on a donkey dick if I cannot install it in English.
Edit3: I can install it so they are save for now. Let's see if I can play it after installing in English first.

It did, with 49% of the votes.

    I am(for the badge).
Probably the only reason anyone will, to be honest. Not a great selection this time round.

Also, LIGHTNING BOLT! Flash Sales updated to include Sanctum, if you don't already have it. DLC's reduced too.
  • edited July 2012
In case anybody is interested, and I have no idea why you would...
Ghost Recon 2 won the last rund.
  • edited July 2012
I ended up voting Stronghold just because it was the shittiest deal.

    New Vote
    Assasin's Creed Revelations 66%

Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition (75% off, good deal?)
    Hoard (75%off)

Edit: Nah SSF IV has 8 DLCs (which do come in a cheap bundle), Too much DLC for me.

Interested in Payday: The Heist and/or that Tribes: Ascend starter pack.

    Any recommendations on either?

EDIT: I wonder how valuable a Strange Rocket Launcher is.
(One person said 3 keys. But I do not even know how valuable a key is (is that like £2 or something?))

I wonder if I could trade it for one of those games to save me some dosh.
    Hmmmm....

    EDIT 2: Doesn't look like it. ;/

EDIT 3: Oh well, decided to post a trade ad on there anyway:

Offers are open to you guys (though I'll be honest I have no idea what I am doing! XD)
So I have some items I don't really care for.

And I want to get some sale stuff.
    - Payday: The Heist
    - Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition
    - Space Marine

So I'm going to list them, and if anyone wants to make me an offer for any then go ahead.

    Genuine Planeswalker Goggles
    Genuine Hetman's Headpiece
    Genuine Janissary Ketche
    Fed Fightin' Fedora (lvl 59)
    Ellis' Cap
    Vintage Foster's Facade
    Vintage Stockbroker's Scarf
    Strange Rocket Launcher

Have there been any flash deals where the initial sale price of the game offered wasn't 40% off?
