Have there been any flash deals where the initial sale price of the game offered wasn't 40% off?
Off the top of my head, Rayman Origins went to 50% from 33%.
  • edited July 2012
The newest flash deal is Back to the Future.

    Hah! It's still way overpr-
You are GENEROUSLY over-valuing that game.

    ...dangit.

So the vote winner was Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Little surprised by that, TBH.

Current options are Bioshock 2, F.3.A.R. and Metro: 2033.

Also, latest Flash (A-AHHHHH) Deals are Toy Soldiers and the Half-Life series, both 75% off.
  • edited July 2012
Well I was hoping for Payday, but I'm away this weakend and can barely do anything steam related, so I guess I better hope Payday is a part of the grand finale sale.
EDIT:Ok so attempting to use steams website, I can only log in 50%. AKA the community stuff works(BTW thanks Retrovortex for the gift. I'll redeem it once I get home.) fine, the store doesn't, so I can't even vote now.

Latest Flash Deals are Bejeweled 3 and the Alan Wake 'franchise' - both 75% off.

    EVERYBODY GETS GUMBOY!!

    Also: new lightning Deals:

    Alice: Madness Returns (75%off)
Football Manager 2012 (75% off), had to use the UK store to even see it. Not available in my region.

People are stupid. Metro was JUST on sale...or in a bundle or some shit. I know I have it for some reason. Oh well, saves me from having to make a decision.
  • edited July 2012
Out of the three, it was probably the best.
  • edited July 2012
I wouldn't know. It's in my massive "yet to be played" backlog.
  • edited July 2012
all 3 of them were on sale recently and the votes are quite even. And Bioshock 2 won. I'm surprised.
  • edited July 2012
Metro 35%, Bioshock 34%. Interesting math, Valve.
  • edited July 2012
    Weird...

New Choices are Plants vs. Zombies, Super Meat Boy and Q.U.B.E.

Also, new Flash Deal - Blood Bowl. 75% off.

    ...wait. Didn't I say I wouldn't do this? FUUUUUUUUUU-

It was the other way around on my end.

New vote: I have all 3, I love all 3 and voted for q.u.b.e. because more people need to play this!

Heretic, all these choices are irrelevant, for there is only Gumboy...

    REPENT! REPENT!!

    Heretic
You wouldn't believe what the German word for heretic is...

I don't have Gumboy Tournament. I rejected the gift and blocked your avatar with AdBlock.

That's really weird. It was still sitting on the page when I was posting and I even double checked to make sure I wasn't an idiot. Oh well, I didn't really care either way, it just makes it look like I had no reason to bring up Metro in the first place.

Pants vs. Zombies won the last voting round

    New round:
Portal 2 75% off (was already a daily deal)
    Half-Life 2 75%off (was a lightning deal a few hours ago)
    Left 4 Dead 2 75% off

    New Lightning Deals:
    Ys Origin 60% off
Brink 75% off (failed to be a comminity choice before)
  • edited July 2012
Ys 60%(opposed to 66)? Or is Steam really fucking with me this weekend?

On another note, I want someone to make a "Pants Vs Zombies" game. That could only be greatness right there.
  • edited July 2012
No I guess you are right.
  • edited July 2012
Oh okay. After the Metro thing, I really wouldn't have been surprised if it was Steam.

    New Daily Deals!

Borderlands - 75% off (make sure you get the GotY edition, it's the same price)
    Dead Island - 66% off
    DiRT Showdown - 50% off
    Frozen Synapse - 90% 80% off
Indie Bundle III (BIT.TRIP BEAT, Braid, Bunch of Heroes, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and Runespell: Overture) - 75% off
Orcs Must Die! - 75% off
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - 50% off
    Tropico 4 - 75% off
Two Worlds II (and Pirates of the Flying Fortress DLC) - 75% off

Also, new Flash Sales. The Sam & Max Complete Pack and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Both 75% off, and both bargains if you don't already own them (which you totally should).
  • edited July 2012
Frozen Synapse was lowered to 80% off (was wrong on the store page when DM made the post).
  • edited July 2012
If you own Frozen Synapse, $2 is a STEAL for the Red DLC. It adds a really cool new unit, a new game mode, new single-player missions, and makes ALL single-player mission content co-op. Someone who owns Red can even play co-op(or the new modes, or using the new unit) with someone who doesn't own the Red expansion!

Frozen Synapse was EASILY the best game released last year. DEFINITELY consider picking it up and playing it if you haven't already.

I bought RED. But only for the soundtrack. I was so happy that I made it through the first mission of the base game after 2 hours by having a lot of dumb luck that I stopped playing.

The original first single-player mission was the result of some bad design. It was actually made in such a way that your best strategy was to just rush in, which is what they assumed new players would do.

The first mission of the campaign has been entirely swapped out by a patch, and the curve is a lot better now.

By the way, since they're less than $2 per game, this is what you get when you buy one of the Sega Genesis games. The launcher is called "Sega Classics" and shows up as one game. It lists your games alphabetically(was wrong on that, oops) and automatically opens to the last one you played. There are good default control mappings and you can remap however you like. Save anywhere or using the game's usual save system both work well.

The Genesis / Megadrive one works with my gamepad but the Dreamcast collection does not. A waste of 5€.

I need to check now if they really sort alphabetically now. When I last checked they sorted it by the time the game was purchased.

IT SEEMS YOU ARE RIGHT. It's been awhile since I played these and there was a short section I sorted through that seemed to be roughly alphabetical. WHOOPS.

I own them all on Steam and payed more for Season 1 alone. I think owning these games on Steam is okay.

    1, I'm waiting for tomorrow's Amazon deals . ( no $1=1€ crap )
2, GOG wishlist vs Steam wishlist
    3, I prefer GOG over Steam .

I own everything up to BTTF at least twice, with Jurassic Park just the once (and that's once too many). If you want them, get them. No-one'll cry if you don't or anything.

Fun fact brought to my attention - Super Meat Boy, despite not winning the public vote, is considered a Flash Deal, and is therefore 75% off. You'll have to find the page manually though, since it's not on the front page.

New Flash Deal: Renegade Ops 75% off
  • edited July 2012
At the risk of compelling Dashing to rant (again) about the game, I'm seriously considering getting BTTF: The Game (from Steam when it goes on sale again). Yes, it's easy. Yes, it's buggy in places. But it's not the worst adventure game in the world and I need to get my fix. Seriously, I haven't bought anything from TTG since S&M:S3 and Puzzle Agent 2 (Hector doesn't count because they only ported it).
