That's just because it's the one you get that can do well against the first gym if you don't opt for the Water starter(or if you play the Yellow version).

I always picked *looks up the EN name* Squirtle.

My favorite has always been Eevee. Because he's cute and cool at the same time.

I have a weakness for cute things.

Thanks for the community beta key, divisionten. :)

Umbreon. He feels like he'd be the perfect pet in real life IMHO.
  • edited August 2012
    Will do. :)

I would like to be Octillery if it makes any difference whatsoever.
  • edited August 2012
My top seven are the Eevee evolutions. My favorite is Espeon.

But wasn't this thread about Steam?
  • edited August 2012
People are choosing their nicknames or whatever. It *is* about Steam.

Let me rope this thing back on topic with today's Daily Deal:

If you don't have it, it's really a quite excellent puzzle game with a neat core mechanic, great pacing, a fun aesthetic, and lots of polish. Kind of short, but for a dollar it's well worth it.

    Oh yes. Lots of Pie.

Oh completely forgot to say. I do still have my spare for steam beta if anyone wants it.

    Today's Daily Deal:

    This Week's Midweek Madness:

    spotlight_image_english.png spotlight_image_english.png

The bundle on the right contains: Air Conflicts: Secret Wars, Cargo! The Quest for Gravity, Grand Ages: Rome, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and Shadow Harvest: Phantom Ops. A very eclectic mix, I'm sure you'll agree.

Oh, and the new Counter-thingy is out now, as is the new Transformers game and The Expendables 2 game, along with four DLC packs that each max out the stats for one of the characters. It's literally pay-to-win, and it's bullshit.
  • edited August 2012
also: The War Of The Roses pre-order is up and you save 20% if you already own any Mount & Blade title.

That's not quite it. It's 99$ for the Valve complete pack. The DOTA 2 observer is FREE.

True, but it's rather odd to put that price up instead of the "price" of the spectator client.
  • edited August 2012
Alos all of DOTA is free. It's going to be F2P like TF2.

Well the spectator client is free. If you want to buy beta access you still need to pay 30$ for it. (or apply for the beta and possibly never getting into it).

That can't be right. That book actually DOES have the obnoxious ladies. The adaptation is so horrendously painfully accurate that this is equally as dull as the work it's based on.

And to the beta users, they've changed things up, instead of "Store, Library, Friends, Community" it is now "Store, Library, Community, News" with community having subtabs for all the game hubs and stuff. I'm fine with this, but I would love it if News and Community were switched so it appears like the old form.

Lot to get through today, so bear with me!

    First up, the Daily Deal:

    header_292x136.jpg

£3.74 / $4.99. I'd say it's worth it at that price, but I'm sure I've seen it cheaper during Holiday sales.

    Next, the Weekend Deals:

    spotlight_image_english.png spotlight_image_english.png

    And finally, at long last:

    capsule_616x353.jpg

Overpriced at £7.49 / $9.99, but when it goes on sale, snap it up. And for the love of Sidious, USE THIS.

    Instabuy.

One of my favorite games of all time, easily somewhere in the top 5. There is no way I wasn't buying this for my next run through with the Restoration Mod, it has been about a year since I last played this misunderstood gem.
    Overpriced
    LIAR.

It's worth every damn penny.
And for the love of Sidious, USE THIS.
To "use this", you have to disable auto-patching in the game's Properties, otherwise Steam will re-download the broken bits.

Hey, I get you like it and that's cool. But however you look at it, it's still an unfinished game, and as such, I don't feel it's worthy of the price they're asking. Like I say though, the second it goes on sale, get it. It's half-baked, but still worth buying, since all it takes is a little more cooking on our part and the end result is oh so delicious.

Ah, thanks. I don't have much experience modding games on Steam.

    header_292x136.jpg

£4.99 / $7.49. If you're getting it, get the Velvet Edition, which includes the game and the Pirates of the Flying Fortress DLC for £6.24 / $9.99. The first game is also reduced, down to £3.74 / $4.99, not that Steam'd tell you.

You can probably give the Castle Defence game a miss though. Seriously, it's fucking Tower Defence.

Pretty sure it was on offer during the Summer Sale as well. Not so surprising.
