New vote: Alan Wake, GTA 4 and Fallout: New Vegas (AGAIN).

New flash deals: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (50%) and Assassin's Creed: Revelations (66%).

If tomorrow is when I'll actually see the winner of today's vote, does that mean the sale lasts until tomorrow technically?
  • edited July 2012
It'll be over by the usual update time, but probably wont end at midnight.

    King of the Fort.

    Yey.
  • edited July 2012
Yep, just look at the Skyrim countdown. I guess Steam is running this sale on Bangkok time.

If the daily deal tomorrow is Bastion or Assassin's Creed, wouldn't that be just the biggest kick in the nuts?

...and the final flash sales are:

Skyrim(50), Saints Row III(75), Max Payne 3(50), The Walking Dead(40).

Wild guess says that they were the big earners of this shindig.

Steam sales usually start and end at 10am Pacific time. In recent years, this has been the day after the announced end of the sale; prior to 2009 it was on the end day of the sale (which was a surprise when a sale announced as "through Sunday" would end at 10am Sunday).

Considered Saint's Row/Indie Game the Movie/Stacking for myself actually, but I grabbed Skyrim for a friend instead. I owed them one. =)

Walking Dead did surprisingly well on the days it was on sale, competing with similarly-priced "big names". Very impressive performance.

The episodic gaming format has really taken to Steam. It was among the best sellers for quite a while and(I'm aware the TTG delay helped but) shot right back up there with the episode 2 release too. It even hung around at the reduced discount price during slow periods.

Looks like Fallout New Vegas will end us off at 75.

With that $2.93 I had left on my Steam account, I ended up buying Broken Sword and the Cthulhu Saves the World/Breath of Death VII double pack.

3 games for about $3. Seems like a good deal to me.

So the community deal just counted down and reset to 10 hours? Tough luck being European and sleeping in one day if you want the summer sale badge I guess.

I got up 10 minutes before the vote ended. And I got my badge.

No. The game changed and the last one is 10hrs because that's when Steam updates to a new day instead of leaving 2hrs of nothing.

You're right. I'm a bit surprised that not one hour of the last day of voting was on the 22nd here. If I'm not mistaken the last day turned out to be 0:00 - 8:00 UTC.

...and we're back to normal with today's Daily Deal being...

    header_292x136.jpg

    £2.24 / $3.74.

Just a heads up - tomorrow I'll be working late again, so I won't be able to post the Daily Deal (or the Midweek Madness). If someone could do it for me, I'd appreciate it.

The EU gets a great offer here.
    it's 3,74€
    Wow.
  • edited July 2012
Actually, the price adjusted. I saw it at 50% like Marsden, but it has since been updated to 75%.
  • edited July 2012
Huh. So it has. Updated post. Good thing I waited!

Because they absolutely refused to give this game any fanfare, and because they failed to announce that they were even MAKING a PC version(as far as I'm aware)...

    EIHgZ.jpg

    20% off($7.99) until the 31st.

I've known this as an "upcoming" XBLA game, and here it is on PC well before the release on 360.

I haven't played this, but it *looks* absolutely excellent. I really want to sink my teeth into this.

Hmm... Looks like a more smoother and free-flowing version of Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks.

    Colour me interested! :D

Gah, I always forget the second one. Probably because it updates later. Maybe.

Has Borderlands gone free-to-try before? If not, how come? I'd imagine you'd hook quite a few people that way.

    New Weekend Deal:

Honestly, what kinda world do we live in where people callously murder friendly, innocent Orcs in cold blood with cleverly designed traps?
Don't you know that Orcs are no more evil than what humans are? They have the best racials in any case, in almost every RPG where you can play Orcs.

    I'm NOT buying this game.
I'm gonna go back to Neverwinter Nights 2 to play my lawful good Grey Orc paladin now thank you very much.

Well I guess they are trying to promote Borderlands 2. You get 10% off the second game if you own the first game. If you don't get the GOTY Edition you get the first one practically free right now if you preorder the second one after buying it.

    Holy shit, that's awesome!

In the Netherlands, they're known as "Buurman en Buurman", translated to "Neighbor and Neighbor". But I like Pat and Mat more. Also, apparently it's a Chzech animation.

    A je to!

EDIT: On one hand, I would love to purchase this, on the other hand, I'm freaking 27 years old. I think. Wait. Yeah. No wait, not yet.

I watched and loved that series when I was a kid some 25 years ago. I think it was called To Gode Naboer ("Two Good Neighbours") here. I also had that game on my Steam wishlist for a few hours a few months back until I looked into the gameplay and found it a bit uninteresting. Might be worth it for the reduced price though.

    Today's Daily Deal:

    header_586x192.jpg?t=1323831014

The front page only shows Armoured Princess (probably for the hot chick), but the entire series is 75% off.

Isn't that game in the current Indiegala anyway?

The 2 mystery games might be the others? Or the rest will be in the next ones?

This game is awesome and anyone who remotely enjoys strategy games or RPGs should give it a try.

EDIT: Just a heads up that I won't be able to do Tuesday's Daily Deal (or Midweek Madness), since I actually am working late, unlike last week when I was then wasn't. If someone else could do it for me, I'd appreciate it.
