Mainly third person but there are sequences which use a first person perspective.

Yeah. Its third person, but there is are maybe three or so sequences where you are stunned and can't see too much in the first person.

Sorry if this was posted by someone else before, but when will the winners of the contest be announced?

What do you mean by support? Keys are not mappable, but if you are just looking for information on PC controls, follow the link in my signature :)
Will we have to pay for the other Episodes
That depends on what version you bought. PC and Mac versions are season passes, no more money needed. XBox version is sold one episode at a time @ $5 an Ep. Not sure about the PS3 version, but if you paid about $25 for it, it is a season pass. $5 is an episode at a time.

No, it actually isn't an XBox game. It is a PC game. It's just that the only picture in the controller settings is of the 360.

Keyboard and mouse work fine. The game begins with a tutorial and shows you all the keys and commands. Also, if you need, follow my signature link for PC controls to see them all.

I can't believe people have been complaining about the PC controls. The k/m controls work great, the same as any other game. ASWD is standard.

On top of that, 360 controller support is also great. There's still a few big games(ahem Mass Effect 3) that don't even support controller. It is much more heinous to NOT even have controller support than to have it and not let you change keys. IF the setup was wonky it'd be one thing, but the controls all work like a charm either way you play

And it's also possible to use the cursor keys instead to walk around (unfortunately this is not mentioned in the game).

The fact that there is only a 360 map and no PC Controls map in the Settings area is a mystery to me. Many people, including myself, first look for that to see what is used to control the game before entering the game the first time. Seeing only a 360 control causes some confusion. We tend to ask questions like, "Did I just buy the wrong version," or, "Did they make a sloppy port from an XBox game?" The game did a very good job teaching in the tutorial, and the controls are fine, that is undeniable. If you are using a 360 controller, the game swaps to showing 360 tips during the tutorial, yet there is still a 360 map. Why do 360 control users get extra no-fair-they-are-treated-better-than-us-key-and-mouse-users map?

Just one more reason I feel there should have been a PC Controls map.

I understand an iPad port is forthcoming.

Does the iOS App store work in a similar way to the PSN & Xbox stores - ie. will the game be unavailable on iOS in New Zealand (and Australia) too?

The iPad is my preferred platform.

The devs stated ahead of time a 360 controller was the preferred and intended method of control. Simple

That's fine, but that doesn't mean they should disregard all the PC control users by not at least including a control map. I'm not talking about anything more than a simple picture, just like there is for the 360 control. That's all :)

Because there is no map and no tip during the game, no one even knew you could use the arrows if you didn't want to use wsad. It had to be discovered. I don't think a picture is too much to expect, do you?

Any news on DVD release yet?

I bet there will be a physical release after the season is done, to be put in shelves, but will people who buy digital version get the DVD as with other Telltale games?

I'm really excited about what I've seen of Walking Dead and would like to buy the season, but I'm holding off on that because I definitely want the DVD, but don't want to pay twice if I can't get it after the season and not have to pay all over for the game.

Hey, try going to your transaction history, downloads section and either reinstall or redownload and reinstall. Might just be a messup with the install. Had that happen on my PS3 before.

And to Wabbit, I agree with your last post. Didn't mean to sound like a D-Bad, I apologize

Ah yes... the demo is the full game, and the unlock code is what you purchase to play it. Good call walkerbait

The programming for detecting control method or letting users choose and manipulate input is also simple. This is just lazy. Did other telltale games allow you to manipulate inputs?

I'm going to start using this! Totally forgot "walkerbait" somehow.

    using what exactly and how

Isn't it classed as a point and click game? Controls shouldn't really be an issue should they? I mean on the ps3 it's analogs and x, that's about it

Do you *snip* even have episode 2 finished or even started? I just want a refund after reading all the crap in these forums. Completely stupid. Why release a game if its not finished? I could understand releasing 1 episode a month but at this rate we will be getting episode 2 in the Fall sometime.Talk about a big rip off.

i think the lack of information on TT's part is off putting more so then the delay, at least Frankenstein realized he was a monster when the villagers came for him and accepted the punishment. TT on the other hand is hiding under a rock hoping that once they put out episode 2 all will be forgiven. It wont however, people remember.

Wait....Did you just legitimately compare Telltale Games to Victor Frankenstein? Because they've had a delay on an episode of a video game? Even though they haven't broken their promised release date of June yet? Even though Jake's come in to a thread and given information?

Torches and pitchforks at the ready, folks.

I'm sorry, I don't remember villagers attacking Victor Frankenstein when I read the book last year, then again, the book was full of plotholes and such, so maybe you were reading a better version...

Also, Frankenstein murdered civilians because he thought they were related to Victor, that isn't grounds to compare to telltale's delay an episode 2 months.

I actually think the poster is comparing TTG to the Frankenstein monster not the scientist. Slightly more absurd perhaps??...:D

But the monster was supposed to be considered misunderstood(one plot hole in the book as he murdered so many people), so that wouldn't work either then... unless telltale really is misunderstood here, but that would mean... Microsoft you jerks!

Hey guys, I am new around here.
Is there any update as to whats going on with the next episode?..

    Thanks!
  • edited June 2012
I enjoyed playing the first episode, but now I regret I bought the game. I don't like to be lied to, I mean they should be releasing ep.3 by now, and this total lack of information about what's going on is most annoying. Next time I'll just wait until they release all episodes and then buy the game on sale.

I have a question. In episode 2 you are asked to find a screwdriver. I am playing on a mac, and as such, have an apple magic mouse. To get out of the stalls in the barn, you are asked to right click. What are the controls for a mac? Thanks in advance.

I'been out form this forum for a while and I'm not very well informed.
I searched on the FAQ's opening post, but I didn't find on which languages is the game available.

Hold the control button before you click the mouse.

You say it's a brand new cast on this game. Then is Glenn one of the original cast members? Cause he is from the walking dead series. And Hershel?
