Well, if it is from the insider forums, maybe he didn't preorder the game and therefore has no access to them...

This, I haven't yet. Don't tell me to "read more threads!!" if I can't even read those threads in the first place.

Mem modules are so cheap now so going to 4 GB is a no brainer.

TWD would be my only game that requires that much memory - so I would buy it only for this game. Are these REALLY the MINIMUM requirements? I cannot really believe it. It was said before that the requirements would be identical to JP which runs fine with my PC.

BTW: Around 100$ is not "cheap" for me.

In Steam you can see the minimum and the recommended if you want.

Guilty as charged. I apologize. I forgot about the insider perk you get when preordering. Happy 4/20 :D!!!

Do you live in the US? If so you can get PC2 or PC3 Ram online such as Amazon.com way under $100. example: Corsair XMS3 4 GB 1333MHz PC3-10666 240-pin DDR3 Memory Kit - $22.99
    Or PC2 DDR2
    PNY OPTIMA 4GB (2x2GB) Dual Channel Kit DDR2 667 MHz PC2-5300 - $51.99

Unfortunately I need DDR1 RAM and I onlly have two banks to install - I just looked up the internet and I could only go to 2GB max :(

I will not buy a new board just to play TWD.

I hear you. Hopefully a mode or ttg team member can tell you if your system will be able to run it well enough. I'd submit your PC specs in a new thread and see if a team member responds. Best of luck bro!

Not at the time of release, no (and it will NOT have Spanish subs to begin with, although they're trying to patch them in ASAP after release!). But they're looking into possibilities to add more later, we've been told.

its great that everything on the steam page purely shameless advertisement stuff (including the 2 trailers,) but what is the game actually like?

why would anyone buy a game that has no information? it says "adventure," which means nothing. is it like riven? is it a shooter? is it turn based? who knows? shouldnt that be explained?

    thoughts?
  • edited April 2012
If you frequent or even play telltale games you wouldnt have to ask that question lol its a adventure game not a zombie shooter.

From the sticky thread called "PC/Mac April 24 release day FAQ - READ UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES!!":
Q: At what time of day will this game release?

A: There is no fixed time, so please do not get impatient. The game will be released some time during Telltale's business hours - Pacific Standard Time (PST), that is, as the company is in California. For more info on what time zones mean, you may read divisonten's fantastic general Telltale FAQ.
Purchase from the Telltale Store lets you play the game on PC or Mac.
To play the game on Xbox, you'd have to buy it on Xbox marketplace.
According to the Xbox marketplace website, the first episode will be out on Xbox on April 25 in the USA.
I don't believe that there's an official release date for Xbox in other countries at this time.

What are the actual proper controls for Mac?
Because when I press on controls, it just shows up an Xbox 360 controller!
I just want to use the walkie talkie!

If you're using the mouse and keyboard, navigating the menu with a mouse should be fairly intuitive, and once you actually begin a play-through there is a tutorial at the beginning that will cover the more esoteric uses of the mouse and keyboard in gameplay terms.

I have a question, I've already bought the game, and have played through episode one, do I have to repurchase the game every time a new episode is released or does it automatically update.

I have to say I am a little disappointed with the fact that the episodes are released once a month. Aside from the contest that they had, I don't really see any reason to do this.

They do that because that is how they do things. It is their release model. Every game series they have made has been released like this, with one exception - Jurassic Park. With just the smallest bit of research you could have gleaned this nugget of information.

That and the single release games that didn't have episodes like Night at the Inventory and the Puzzle Agent games....

Technically Puzzle agent could be considered a series at this point ;p
