Well, that was a lame event. Nothing happened at all. Urgh... anyway, time for the weekend promo. Get 60% off everything Ubisoft, except for Warlords Battlecry and the 2008 Prince of Persia.
I recommend the Might and Magic games (except 9) for RPG fans. They're party-based first-person RPGs.
Also, Heroes of Might and Magic III is the best Heroes game (which the fan-community have also made some excellent maps and mods for.) It's a turn-based strategy game.
Today's release is Edna & Harvey: The Breakout + Harvey's New Eyes. I assume this is some kind of two-pack of games, judging by the art and description. Frankly, I've never heard of this. I guess they're saving the good releases for Thursday's conference, one of which is probably going to be Divinity 2.
Speaking of, it's the last day to pay what you want for the Divinity games. The top price is currently sitting pretty at $12.47, well down from where it was on Wednesday.

Hold your horses!
"Edna & Harvey - The Breakout" and "Harvey's New Eyes" are probably two of the best graphic adventures of the recent years. Don't be fooled by the visuals, because these are incredibly well made, full length point-and-click adventure games. They were released a couple of years apart here in Germany (they are German productions), and got tons of awards.
What are we talking about here? Mass Effect 3 kind of bad? or Fallout 3 kind of bad?
(Because the latter I can deal with. But I'd probably pick it up later on the next sale...)
I'm on the fence with these two. Just how bad are the endings?
I personally think Edna might be okay for some players but Harvey's New Eyes is the really bad one. If you played through The Whispered World and thought that ending was okay then this will not even be close to how bad TWW ended.
BUT this should not stop you from buying these two games. They are excellent.
But they both have horrible endings. Horrible, horrible endings.
I didn't even get that far...puzzles too hard, too many locations to be explored at the same time...
It had its charme, but that wasn't enough to keep me playing.
Here's something I missed. Whoops. If you paid enough to get Divinity 2 during the "pay what you want" deal, you can download Divinity 2 now. Like, right now.
Well, as expected, the first release of the day was Divinity 2 for the full, 20 dollars. Less expected, however, was Origin System's Bioforge for $5.99.
Shame I own all the interplay titles worth getting....
Those Deponia titles are very tempting. However, I just spent £15 on Sleeping Dogs and I'm trying to cut down on games a bit.
(So Theme Hospital and Deponia 1+2 can wait until the next time they go on sale!)
They say $34.99 is the "best deal", but the full pack is $1.09 per game.
$1 for the first 8 is less than 13 cents per game.
$11.19 for the first 20 is less than 56 cents per game.(using the current number as of this post)
The beat the average pack is really good. Not to say they didn't hold back the most popular titles for the top tier, but that $23 difference is a pretty big leap. It's easy to justify with the Fallout games, Sacrifice, Freespace, and Descent on that list, but still, the Average pack contains some real gems and you should definitely consider.
Ah, but almost all the stuff I actually want is in Tier 3. I'll wait for the inevitable price drop.
This is operating under a different ruleset than the Divinity promo, which seems like it was a test of sorts for this one. The $35 mark seems to be fixed. The one that might "raise" or "drop" is the Average, which contains a still not bad selection of Infocom games.

On Retro: I liked the ending of Fallout 3.

I'd count that as one of the strengths of the game.
I may live blog from the cyberpunk thread again.
Long enough for you?

Highlighted. Pay what you want for the first tier, beat the average for the first and second tier, and be a top contributor for all three tiers.

Strongly disagree. All the POPULAR stuff is in Tier 3. A lot of the good stuff was spread into Tier 2.
Those are quite good / I am interested in those / or I already own several copies of those.
People have been buying it, but that price hasn't budged an inch. I think the 35 dollar price tag might be a fixed price.
 I never knew.
