Better late than never. You can get both Krush Kill 'n Destroy games for 60% off each, or for 70% off if your purchase would get you both of them (either buying both or buying one because you own the other).
Today only, Retro City Rampage is 80% off($2.99) directly from the developer. You get a Humble Store DRM-free download and a GOG(or Steam, your choice) key.
It'd be cool if, where GoG can't offer a soundtrack for free, they could offer it as "DLC" with a discount to game owners. At least it'd give the albums more exposure
Well, looks like someone else got to Brutal Legend before I could update about it. Guess I'll just focus my efforts on today's other release, which is InFlux for the launch price of $8.99. No clue what this is, but it looks like a physics driven version of Marble Madness.
Another day, another indie game. Check out Ittle Dew, the new Zeldafied dungeon crawler for $12.59. Also, sliding Gem Promo! Spiderweb RPGs are available for 70 to 80% off.
Really? Are classic games that hard to license that GOG only has one for every four or five indie games? Whatever, Amnesia: The Dark Descent is now available on GOG for a whopping $4.99, 75% off the regular price. Also, contest time. Make a trailer for Rise of the Triad using the assets provided, and the winner will get 7 free 10 dollar GOG games.
I think it's more that they're trying to reach a new audience with all these indie games, rather than them having trouble with licensing. Although that said, they've gotten a lot of the big ones, so maybe they're just running out?
Insert your own unfunny "in America, in Russia" joke here, and then go check out the weekend deal on GOG, which is 50% off a bunch of strategy games and maybe RPGs from Russia. I guess you could say that these games are coming to us "From Russia, With Love".

Little brother Amnesia is joined by big brother Penumbra Collection today on GOG. This first-person horror game collection can be yours for the launch price of $4.99. Also, Spelunky! No, you can't buy it yet. GOG would just like to let you know that Spelunky is coming soon and comes with a soundtrack and 28 avatars.

Spelunky is quite excellent and I highly recommend it to anyone, as long as they don't get too frustrated with dying often. There's a link to the free version on Spelunky's GOG page if you want to give the original 2008 release a whirl.
Do take note that the recently-announced daily challenge mode is Steam-exclusive, so the GOG version will not have that game mode.

Wellllll... it depends. How does it play with a keyboard? How are the respawn and save points placed? I've no trouble with dying often if a successful two minutes aren't ruined.
Wellllll... it depends. How does it play with a keyboard?
As far as I've heard, the keyboard controls are fine, but since it is a 2D platformer, so I would still definitely recommend a controller (I play the original with a 360 controller). From what I've seen in videos, the new HD-ified version will default to similar keyboard binds that the original defaulted with, so you can treat the original free version as a demo of sorts to see how it feels to you.

Spelunky is heavy on the roguelike elements. The levels are randomly generated. and once you die, you have to start over. There's one item in the game that will respawn you upon death, but it's expensive, difficult to find, and has a hidden special use you'd probably want to save it for.
On the flipside, a successful Spelunky run from start to finish typically only takes anywhere from 30 minutes to about an hour, depending on if you shoot straight towards Olmec or if you go for some of the secret stuff that's only in this remade version. Just don't expect to beat it too often. It's not an easy game.
This "What is Spelunky?" page on the official website does a nice job explaining the game, as well as including a quote one from of the IGF judges at the bottom of the page that I think does a better job than I could of explaining the game's appeal.

Spleunky was originally a PC-only freeware game which you can still download at the game's official site. The version that is releasing on GOG soon is the enhanced port that went to Xbox Live and PSN. This is the game's return home. It's entirely fair to say it was originally designed specifically for a keyboard.

Well it's normally starting you over. BUT. if you meet certain conditions you can create shortcuts at the end of the areas.
To see all in the game you will need to get good enough to play through it all in one go though.
Welcome to Indie Gem Promo day, where you can get Dyad (also known as fully legal hallucinogenics) for only $3.74. And that's it. Nothing else of importance happened today. Nothing at all. Certainly not that Rise of the Triad remake that's $14.99.
Hey, if you were one of the people who bought Jack Keane 2 and wondered "who are these characters? I wish I could know more about them", then wonder no more! You can now get the original Jack Keane game through GOG for the launch price of $4.99. Also, you can pre-order the thrilling border-guard sim Papers, Please for $9.99. Glory to Arstotzka.
Be sure to get in on the indie action this weekend with the Indie Action weekend deal. Take 60% off a bunch of indie developed platformers-with-physics, some kind of indie third person shooters and whatever Symphony counts as.
GOG's got a bit of an overhaul going, so let's get right down to business with the changes. Gamecards have been changed so that the picture gallery and trailer are in the game overview box. You can get an example with today's classic gem promo, which is $3.99 for Children of the Nile. Also, they're bringing back game bundle deals. Up to 80 games (yeah, yeah, I know) are taking part in this bundle deal right now, and the discounts can go pretty high. Also, DLC is set to be sorted out into the gamecard itself, and it will be prominently mentioned that it is DLC. The browse games page has received a minor redesign, and will no longer load all the games on the list at once. Finally, new checkout features including prominently displaying system requirements, and warning you about buying DLC without actually having the base game first.
GOG seems to also have turned to shit on small screen resolutions like mobile devices. I can't even see entire pages by scrolling horizontally anymore. And where did the link back to the front page disappear to? Somewhere I can't see or completely gone?
Your Tuesday release is Divinity: Dragon Commander. You can get it for $39.99, or you can go up to the Imperial Edition for only $44.99. Imperial Edition comes with a map, a new dragon, two soundtracks and a behind the scenes video. If you can't afford the extra five bucks, then why are you buying a 40 dollar game at launch? Never mind, you can get the Imperial Edition DLC for only $9.99.
Glory to Arstotzka, now you can purchase Papers, Please for the low, low price of $9.99. And if you buy it, you get two earlier games by the same dev as pack in bonuses. Also, you know what's more frustrating than La-Mulana? La-Mulana with procedurally generated levels! Spelunky is available now for the launch price of $13.49.
Comments
I've been hoping for a PWYW or other kind of special discount (like buy more games, get more % off) on many of the titles in this weekend's promo.
Welcome to the perks of market domination.
Yes indeed. If you are the only place to get a DRM free version of a game you can milk your customers for more money. Very well spotted Vainamoinen!
But seriously when they are not on sale both are priced the same (in the US).
Unfortunately, the score is missing. Big sad for those who do not own it already.
That said I'm happy I got it with the humble bundle since I doubt I would have bothered otherwise and it's a nice album
I swear, that's the last time I update from bed with my iPad... but I stand by my pun, I couldn't use the "In Russia" joke a second time.
In Soviet Union, right links post you!
(No, that wasn't worth it)
For one day only (until it's on sale again), you can get Blade of Darkness for 60% off during today's Classic Gem Promo.

And it's the inferior version (missing a full game mode). I'm looking forward to seeing the price of the SteamVersion later.
...hmm.
EDIT: The answer was "yes", in case you wondered.
It's always yes with you. Well, unless it's no.
