    Only a bit.

But I remember you actually have NOT been to my place - last year you had to catch your train, so you couldn't come to my place with Mark (Darin), Majus and Mermaid.

Also, a mod shouldn't derail a thread this much ;)

I wanted to catch that train - only alternative would have been to crash at your place, and I wouldn't even want to ask/force that idea on you because I was somewhat of a stranger after all. I cursed myself for missing that ToMI session with Mark though, I really did.

Also: I derail what I want. Privilege of my rank. Oh wait, it isn't? Well, we're talking about Sam & Max... which is on gog... so that's not derailing. :D

That Season 1 poster and I connected somehow. Not even as "Season 1 poster" - there's no sign of it on the JoWood box after all - but as "just the art", which I first really observed in the appendix of my all-too-battered Surfin' the Highway paperback. That's all I have concerning Sam & Max devotional objects. Damn.

And there was this poster that also came with the German retail box (which was also sold as a print - sans text - by Telltale):

    sam-s1-poster.jpg

This was also included with the Canadian retail box of Season One, which I own.

Well, Mermaid and Majus slept at my place as well, so the only problem would've been that I had no mattress left ;) But: Maybe we can have another go at this year's GamesCom... I have no idea if Telltale folks are coming though.

    Day 15's winner: Sanitarium .
Day 16 : a battle between Spacechem and The Incredible Machine .

New release : Deus Ex: Invisible War

I'd say, go for TIM. It's hella fun, and you get, like, four of the five released TIM releases?

I mean, SpaceChem is also decent, but, meh, it's not as fun as TIM. Where else can you use a bowlingball, a monkey and fireworks to turn on a computer?

    A little off topic :

    Dungeon Keeper 2 , The Witcher 1 & 2 have been updated .

This should be a clear win for Outcast.

Most definitely Outk-I mean Outcast. Especially if you recently have gotten the bundle that is humble and that is for indie gamers.
  • edited July 2012
It's funny that these polls go on for as long as they do, since there's usually a clear winner right off the bat. There's no way Psychonauts can win, since it was "pay what you want" about a month or so ago.

Given how cheap Psychonauts has been on Steam (and GOG? I dunno, not the biggest follower of stuff there), I genuinely think this deserves to go to Outcast. It's an amazingly ambitious game, and even if it's kinda slow paced and repetitive, it definitely needs more exposure.

Whoa, I remember playing Outcast back when it was released (and my PC couldn't handle it at full res). It was one of the most immersive games I've ever played... especially the incredible soundtrack by Lennie Moore and the voice acting (with Cutter getting Bruce Willis' german voice actor - in the German version that is, of course - which made it even more awesome) made this game something really special.
  • edited July 2012
I am really curious what the English version sounds like.

Got Outcast already, but I just didn't get into that game even with a Hi-Res patch. I understand yesterday's fascination with it and it really feels "open-worldly", but I put it aside after a few hours. :(

I'd also like to mention that GOG has managed to fix hardware acceleration in Dungeon Keeper 2.

I've been playing the first level of it and it appears to work alright.
  • edited July 2012
I remember having bought Outcast once and never played it again, because of how boring it was.

But still, most already have Psychonaut by now.

Outcast won because everyone owns Psychonauts by now.

I wonder if there's going to be a weekend sale. The Riddick/Torchlight sale would only last for a day, and they'd have nothing else on sale.

It runs for a week btw

Ahh, so I could just grab Populous, and not run the risk of it going on sale. Right.
  • edited July 2012
I hope GOG does some sort of bonus day with all the previous sales in case people missed them.

Yet, Gemini Rue is only reason to even consider this.

The introversion games are special. I like them. I just don't like playing them.
And GR is one of the best adventure games I ever played and I played a lot of them.

I'd like to say that people who don't appreciate Introversion simply do not understand them.

Introversion's talk at Rezzed. Very valuable stuff, really helps you understand this guy's brain. Every Introversion game is the result of a very unique creative voice.

Remind me not to buy any more games from GOG for a while. Even if I am tempted.

    This is why:
