I've been reading this forum like everybody hoping for some information from ttg about the release. I disagree with( behedemal )in that they would rewrite or change the game because of playing the other two slots. In my opinion, the first one is the only one that could really count, it's fresh, dealing with situations with out alot of time to think about it . I played the other two slots knowing what choices I was going to make . Even though it was fun, it's not the intention of the game. There's definitly a problem, I just wish ttg would announce something, anything about the hold up.
It's the professional thing to do.
Peace? Do the ones who defend TTg think they are at some kind of "war" with the unhappy customers?
And wouldn't quiet defeat the purpose of a forum?
Its funny to me that You asked for an alternate reason to complaining about the complaining than defending TTG, then when given one, you use it as another way to say they are defending TTG while casting suspicion based on a false premise.
My theory as to the late release is that they ran into a major hurdle. That hurdle being that everyone has probably played through EP 1 a few times with different outcomes.
Which save game is EP 2 going to pull from. If you have played all of the previous TTG games, each episode was stand alone. This is the first one where choices change your story, so EP 2 has to somehow look at your previous saves and determine where to go from there. I bet they thought they knew how they would do it, until they ran into the multiple save game situation. What if they determine your latest save is the starting point, yet that isnt the story line you wanted to follow.
That is my theory. SInce the last i heard from them was that were evaluating all the choices of people using the data collected online and using it to mold ep 2. To me, that sounds like they didnt have most of ep 2 done from the get go and had to write the entire script dependant on that collected data. Or at least change parts of the story and script.
I call this a sound theory. It would make perfect sense. Of course, you would hope a company advertising the game would have already been well prepared for this scenario. I mean it is the premise of the game. And they did create it. But I agree, you may very well be correct.
Wow the Bill of Rights must must carry the weight of a feather in this forum.....
I feel I am being silenced because it is a inconvience for you. Sir I disagree with your reasons for moving my thread. It was not intended to cause a fight or make fun of anyone or anything. There was no swearing or mean language of any kind. I just don't think that it should be moved because you don't think it's the right topic. I have been watching. I have seen threads that say where is the game blah blah this. But I have not seen anyone intelligently discuss theories why the game might be delayed only screaming. I wanted to stay out of this merged thread to avoid the screaming and off topic discussion.
Actually, the bill of rights only applies to Governments within the United States, not to private entities. So, no you don't have to right to free speech within prviate entities. This is always a misnomer. Governments can censor you, ever, but Corportations, like it or not, can, at the very least, censor you with their own private realms.

Bill of Rights huh? Ok. And you're not being silenced. Your words are being seen, just in a different place than you intended.
Its funny to me that You asked for an alternate reason to complaining about the complaining than defending TTG, then when given one, you use it as another way to say they are defending TTG while casting suspicion based on a false premise.
It's even funnier that you thought a pretext would pass for a reason.
Well, it's not entirely "free speech" in here, although this thread might be proof that you can say almost everything... but the mods normally only silence the under aged, the pirates and the racists really quickly. Unfortunately, all three types turn up occasionally.
They did in fact give an ETA...they were hoping for late June. They said so at E3. The rest I can certainly find no fault in, except that you have only been waiting a month from the date that it was supposed to come out.
Saying it at E3 is arguably not communication when people are asking here. I do a google search for the release date and all I get is coming soon still. If that is the extent of their communication then I'll quote a favorite movie of mine," What we have here is a failure to communicate".
And if you have fault with the fact that people, such as myself, are unhappy with "waiting a month from the date that [episode 2] was supposed to come out", then I can clearly never convince you why that SHOULD be a problem to everyone, including yourself. A little communication goes a long way; if something is a month past due make it clear, somewhere official (say like in these forums or on the main page) what is going on and what we as consumers can expect.
If you ordered a pizza and it was promised in an hour and you weren't upset that it arrived three hours later with no phone call from the delivery driver, then more power to you. I'd be upset to get a phone call saying my one hour delivery would instead take three, heck I'd probably cancel the order, but I'd appreciate the communication.
I think I need to clarify myself a bit. My previous post wasn't an intend to make it look like I was going to sue TTG, nor was it a suggestion to move anyone to do so. All I did was point out that within international and US law, TTG is breaking the rules. The reason for pointing it out was because there seem to be people here that think it is okay for companies to do so. These laws are here to protect consumers like you and me. Being interested in law and legislation, and having had a job that requires me to dig into these matters on a regular base has triggered my interest to see where TTG would stand in this picture, not to build a foundation for a lawsuit, although looking back I can see how it could be interpreted as such.
Once again, I only bought one episode so I don't feel like I've been screwed over. There are people that didn't get that option however and had to either purchase the entire game at once, or not purchase anything at all. Those that did throw their cash at TTG have been doing so while being mislead.
I do have good news about Episode 2, 3 ,4 and 5. They will be released "soon". Information provided by TTG.

The complete lack of any communication by TTG kind of points me to this thinking. They had the plan in place but once it came time to deliver, all of the "Oh crap, we didnt think about this...."

It was just a theory, not set in stone or anything i got from TTG. You assume everyone used save slot 1 for their main game and the others for other outcomes. That is not a very good assumption since save game 3 has the story i want to continue on.
Also, if you have played any TTG games, you can delete an episode after finishing it and it will not change anything with the other episodes. So they did not take a save game and continue the next episode. Each episode was its own entity.

I don't get this theory. You will of course chose the save slot you want to continue from at the beginning of episode 2! Every save slot is treated as one of your stories, and these same save slots accompany you through the entire game (so episode 2 uses the same save slots). By now, your save slots can only reach eight chapters. I assume that by the end of the game it's up to 40 chapters that you can copy, rewind and play in a single slot.
I wonder will this thread make it to 100 pages before the release date of Episode 2 as a commemoration to Robert Kirkman's critically acclaimed Comic series 100th issue Just finished reading issue 99 and Holy Shit!!:eek: If there is anyone who has not read the comics and really likes the story told in The Walking Dead Game or TV Show, it's a must read!!!:):):)
Here's to an awesome year of TWD!!!
I bet it will. The sooner we get to the end of the month the more people will start joining this forum I think.
And since there is no new information yet it seems like it wont be released even this month.

my thoughts exactly vain, i can't believe people are that stupid...
bottom line you choose which save slot you wish to play the new episode on.

Freedom of speech does not apply to private owned forums. Pretty much all forums got rules/guidelines on what belongs in the forum. And if they did not move such threads, then the whole forum would be filled up meaning it would be hard to find other threads that actually discuss the game. I don't see what is the issue as long as your post was not deleted. Imagine how it would be if everyone started their own thread about the same subject.
Well this silence is doing more harm than good. Every day I check facebook and this forum and see more and more people complaining about lack of info and a delayed release. I know they have a good track record of keeping customers informed. The sad thing is that these new customers will go away thinking that TTG doesn't care and spread bad word.
And this is what is pissing me off. Why don't telltale understand that no information means that they will piss off more customers?
Also why this sudden change of practice? In past they actually informed us and even compensated those who preordered or bought season pass.
I understand delays can happen, but I will never understand why they cant give us an update.

Correct... Freedom of speech means you can say anything and the government can't lock you away. It doesn't mean that you can barge into someone's property (online or otherwise) and say whatever you want - they have the right to tell you to shut up or leave.

seriously....
And again here is a perfect reason why Milo should cut off from this forum. Vain brought up a perfectly reasonable debate to the theory and did not need to call names or talk down to anyone, but of course you had to chime in and do just that. Grow up dude!

ok so maybe saying people are stupid for not grasping the simple concept of choose your game progression via 3 slots, to avoid cross contamination of said choices..
I have another question - why don't they tell us ANYTHING? I am just wondering why even Jakes Comment (posted above) just says nothing. It even sort of states that you can discuss or even GET a refund. NOW I really get a bit worried. They wouldn't even DISCUSS this topic if there weren't real problems....I feel the apocalypse coming...

""Hey folks who bought a season pass - we're the company you are supporting and who have ur money. Sorry for the delay."
Just saying.
Dont need a reason - its not like i can do anything about it - but a sorry might be nice.

Source? C++ or Java, I suppose.:rolleyes:
Who are you calling trolls? Customers complaining about the lack of information that Telltale should provide?

The game can be found on xbox live, psn, Steam, and from Telltale Games' store.
YOU CAN GET IT IN ONE OF THOSE PLACES WITH CASH MONEY!
Course if you're looking for Episode 2...well you'll just have to wait.

Yeah sorry should have made that clear.......
Looking for episode 2 or any information?
Wait a minute.... Your saying someone actually works for TTG?!?!? WOW!!!
I know right? I thought it was like an Apeture Science deal where we have one Robot killing everyone and that is the job!

Maybe people don't particularly like being called stupid? Can you even control the words you're typing into your keyboard?
He might have felt the need to add something the closing moderator didn't add.
.....sounds more like to me it was a sneaky way for them to offer the refund without too many people noticing it.
Yeah, I think Jake always was incapable of sending a private message when he wanted to keep something secret.
going to try and shut up now....
sarcasm?
