You are considering a Lawsuit because the game is delayed? uhhhh good luck with that one. It's about as ridiculous as the guy who is trying to sue BIoware for the ending of Mass Effect 3.

I'm starting to think I may have gotten ripped off and am considering taking legal action. This is the sort of class action law suit any attorney would love to get their hands on.
You want action now? Call up your credit card company. They will push things along.
haven't some of these people got a life look at them they are like little children throwing teddy out the pram because their game hasn't arrived on time.Their must be other things you can do while your waiting it will be here just be patient.you really think that tell tale are going to rip us off that's just idiotic i don't mean to be rude.

It's not impossible (you can sue for damages), but it's impractical because of the contract's price.

Or the Korean govement suing Blizzard for d3 not working like it should, oh thats right they gonna win that one.
To maybe correct you on something...i don't believe that 11yrs ago they had planned for a diablo 3. What i mean is that first off they had other games to develop like warcraft 3(both expansions) and then again others like world of warcraft and maybe starcraft(if it wasn't yet in existence.) Secondly i don't think they had any new ideas yet to how they would want diablo 3 to be/seem like
I know this was a few pages back. ( Don't check the forums one day and like 5 pages are added, lol) But I'm pretty since they were saying Diablo 3 would be released a few years ago.( Originally around 5 or 6 I think? Could be only 3 or 4 really.) If my memory is correct that is. WOW set it back for a while, more so than the other Blizzard games.
As for the rest of it. I don't think this thread is going to change much. A lot of people are upset. I work at Gamestop and I have tons of people coming in flipping out about this, like I can do anything about it. ( Since we sell the DLC for it, it of course means we control the game.) The lack of information is stressful, not just from a consumer, but as someone who deals with games.
I'm really really really really hoping that since they are showing a preview at E3 they may release more of a date. I'm not sure what else we can hope for. I saw someone posted a list of their other games and some of those were a month late. It seems to be a bad habit Telltale should probably consider breaking.
I know it's creative work and I know it takes time. But that is something they should consider BEFORE releasing the first episode and BEFORE offering a Season Pass to the games.
Sure, there is other stuff for us to do. Sure, I bet some( some anyways) of these people have plenty of patience. But, it's the being left in the dark thing that has people upset.
The bottom line is, it's the principle of the matter. About doing what is right and keeping the people who pay your bills happy, even if that means having to do something that is difficult like addressing the concerns of an unhappy mob.
People are going to complain. Majority of people HATE where I work. They hate the company. I deal with people's outrages all the time. I can fully understand both sides of the table on this. Yet, myself and others( the good ones) who work with me always try to explain to the customers why things are the way they are. Even when we aren't really suppose to. It's because we don't like our customers upset and we want them to come back.
That is just what happens when you own a business. And you have to deal with the crap. But you actually have to DEAL with it to make people understand your side better. Ignoring the fact helps nobody.

Let me put my two cents in and say I love Gamestop.
Weird, inorite?
But these guys were my heroes. I'm legally blind; born that way. When I was in 5th grade, my ophthalmologist told me to start playing video games. Yes, really. This was 15+ years ago, before the idea that video games could, you know, actually help people became a mainstream idea.
We go into a Gamestop and pick out something age appropriate that I could also handle. Pokemon Red. A magnifying lens. And I was going to get my brother's old brick of a Gameboy from 1987 plus his original copies of Tetris and Mario. Turns out the mag lenses wouldn't fit; they were only built to clip on the slimmer Game Boy Pockets.
When the manager heard why my mom was getting this stuff, he told us the clip wouldn't fit. My mom wasn't about to drop another 100$ to buy a system, too.
The manager gave me a gently used red Game Boy pocket that didn't have a battery casing (it had been used as an in-store display). On the house. I still have it.

Not all Gamestops can suck. It's pretty awesome to hear he did that. We try our best to be as fair to the customers as possible. We push Gamestops guidelines as far as we can. ( I try to not get fired. Gotta pay the bills.) A lot of people have bad experiences there, and we make it a point to try to point out it's not us.
The bottom line is the person. And that dude was probably an overall awesome guy.
I dont wanna blame ttg without judging, maybe there is a reason to why they arent telling us anything that we cant think of right now, but since this is not some super secret goverment project, i believe theyre just ignoring us. Dont get me wrong im not trying to insult anyone and im not writing this with anger, but i dont understand people who are still defending ttg.(again not an insult.)
1- When you're given a deadline, you should try hard to give the product before the deadline passes. But if you gave the deadline yourself then i believe you shouldnt pass it. No one forced ttg to release monthly episodes, they told us themselves and now they failed to do it within the deadline they gave. But i know things may go wrong, so even though i think they should have released it by now(again, because they gave the deadline), im not mad at this. But i can understand people who are mad because of this reason.
2- What i cant understand is why ttg wont tell us anything, i mean you take your customers money, you fail to deliver the product, and you just ignore the customer. You may have ran into problems but WHY are you ignoring your customer? I dont want them to give me a date, i just want them to say something. Just write 'We're sorry but we ran into a couple of problems' or write 'Sorry', if you cant even write that then just write 'sry' but write something. And like that wasnt enough, in the old thread a guy named Mike comes and says 'cool it with the insults'. So you ARE watching the thread, you see your customers say 'please tell us something' and you ignore them. I mean someone even said 'now that we know youre watching the thread, can you tell us why episode 2 isnt released yet' and Mike just disappeared.
I think people who demand information are right and not babies or people without a life.
I posted this yesterday but i still see people saying 'get a life'.

So when a person demands information from a company that he has paid to for a product that has been delayed and when that information is not given, does that mean that person doesnt have a life? People here are not complaining unreasonably, they simply want information or at least something from ttg

Yeah it is strange how the people who want to complain aregetting mocked and called no life losers when they seem to not post back once they make their complaint, yet the fanboys seem to be here 24/7 ready to post a quick rebuttal to any complaint. Maybe to have a life in their eyes that's what you have to do?
Stay on here 24/7 and post all the time praising the devs and mocking complainers?
You are considering a Lawsuit because the game is delayed? uhhhh good luck with that one. It's about as ridiculous as the guy who is trying to sue BIoware for the ending of Mass Effect 3.
Except Bioware didn't advertise that the game would never end, and TTG advertised a monthly release... False Advertisement is a legal claim in America and I am sure in other countries also. If the guy wanted to go down that route, he could and more than likely win... Just saying...
yet the fanboys seem to be here 24/7 ready to post a quick rebuttal to any complaint.
I'm not even sure there are many "fanboys" yet for the TWD game. There are a lot of new people who acknowledge a great start to this series, but most of them are still in a wait-and-see mode, and many with a higher post count have shared some concerns and wishes for the future episodes. After all, 80% of this game has not yet been released!
What you can see and understand however is mounting tension, and community members might somehow feel the need to "take a side" in light of the more extreme comments.
I understand the people who just wish to have more info on this matter, I understand the people who are upset about the delay, and I understand the people who are fed up with the complaints already. You all will have to understand that all three opinions absolutely have their place in this forum and everyone is entitled to post their opinion as long as they do it in a calm and civilized manner, as long as they do not pick on others, and as long as they do not insist that their individual complaint somehow warrants a complete single new thread.
Somehow, I'm on all three mentioned "sides" and I have a right to be, but this forum just doesn't work without a bit more patience and a bit less insults.
Are you indirectly specifying that episode 2 will be out next week ?
It's all real life stuff spawner... real girls, real fun, real good talks. The food might be a bit artificial though. And again, I have no idea when in June episode 2 will finally hit. Haven't even had the stones to vote in the new poll yet. Not enough statistics for that one.

Absolutely. I have no idea why they feel the need to:
1) defend the poor customer service of Telltale games
2) advise anyone who has the temerity to ask where the game is how to live their life.
Why is this damn thread so hostile?
Can't we focus on disscussing a realease date without bashing each other and TTG?
It's gotten to the point where we're just insulting each other, not even disscussing the topic at hand.

You're absolutely right about insulting. But about ttg, i dont wanna repeat the same things over and over again but everytime i go to the webpage and see that telltale still hasnt given an explanation i cant believe how a company can treat their customers like this.

This sums up everything about these forums, I just signed up today because episode 2 is still not out and I was hoping we would have a reason for why, and my brother uses this forum. Instead all i've seen is people being disgustin to others, even a father getting banned from the site and being attacked for being a bad parent by random people who have never met him before over the internet, as outrages as that is all because he was annoyed the game had not come out yet,
Then we have loads of apparently very uber cool people who have great social-lives who insist that any1 who dislikes how telltale has handles things and then posts about it automatically has no life; yet the non-complainers seem to post on here much more often than the complainers. Maybe the non-complainers should look at themselves before jumping down the throats of every poster who has a complaint it's not a healthy way to live your life.

hahahahaha that was good.
good luck man. youll need it hahahahaha
edit:
Everyone needs to do less bitching. law suits, false accusations and complaints about customer service. all because a release date got pushed back hahahaha
I bet all the devs who read the forums just fuckin laugh at half you morons hahahaha
Has the inelegance level of the world really come this low? common sense aint too common anymore.....
I feel if Telltale games finish the whole game and then release it.We would have this problems...............
tell tale do not release full games in one go they are an EPISODIC game developer
which means (if you didn't know ) a game is split in to equal length 'chapters' released on a ''monthly'' schedule
in this case there is a delay for ep2, reason unknown but like it has been said MANY TIMES already, ttg standard practice of an extra month would explain the no 'updates'
reasons why the newbies get 'abuse' are imo
a) lack the self control to be polite and pleasant to everyone.
b) Don't do ANY research before buying and thusly blame everyone else with hate/venom/threats.
c)are 'normal people' who get their rocks off trolling...
Everyone needs to do less bitching. law suits, false accusations and complaints about customer service. all because a release date got pushed back hahahaha

As has been said multiple times (yet people like you still fail to grasp), for many of us it isn't the delay, it's the lack of any response whatsoever from TTG. At least most devs would have the courtesy to inform consumers that their game is delayed for x reason, TTG can't even be bothered to do that. What makes it worse is that most devs haven't already taken money from the customer.
The lack of any kind of announcement can only mean one of two things:
1) TTG have absolutely no idea when they're going to be able to release episode 2, so can't make any announcement
2) They're waiting until E3 to announce the release of episode 2
edit: milo, it's no excuse that TTG games in the past have had a two month gap between them when it should have been one. Just because it's standard practice for TTG doesn't mean it's right!
Everyone needs to do less bitching. law suits, false accusations and complaints about customer service. all because a release date got pushed back hahahaha
I bet all the devs who read the forums just fuckin laugh at half you morons hahahaha
Has the intelligence level of the world really come this low? common sense aint too common anymore.....
also can you edit your earlier post and cut and paste the second one in ?
and totally agree about the common sense...
and merc read my post that is above yours again...

A person demanding information about a product that he/she has paid for is not childish, however your behavior is. Why cant you say something like human beings do? WE paid for this game WE are not angry that the game is delayed WE are angry that TTG treats us like sht and does NOT give any information to us not even a simple apology even though they are way past a deadline THEY put themselves. Thats why WE complain and in return WE are called morons, people with no lives, and people with low intelligence. So what i understand from this is, you want us to NOT complain about our RIGHT to know the process of our product. If you had said what you said like a human being and not insulted us, i would have respected your opinion and i wouldnt have written this.
i'll put my money on that an explanation will be given at E3. there is no way they can blatantly ignore the media. i bought the everything under the sun package, which gives me other games to play while waiting for walking dead. i also have other console games to play. if this is the only game you have, i feel sorry for you. with diablo 3 out i thought this site would all be forgotten. developers do what developers do. how many console games have been released completely broken only to have a launch day or soon after patch update? they are under alot of pressure to get the game out to begin with. We all paid for the game. we are all waiting with you. Just give them some space and shut up. it will be worth the wait.

1. you are only entitled to what you paid for, nothing more nothing less.... nowhere in there tos does it say " all release dates are set in stone we promise!" nowhere does it say anything remotely close to that. nor did they ever say an exact date for any of the episodes.... so i dont know why everyone is getting bent out of shape. not like they promised an exact date.
2. no you do not have the "right" to know when its coming out. what in the name of god would give you that idea. *snip* think there entitled to everything these days.
what gave you the idea that it is your "right" to know the exact status on a game? Just because you paid for the game....
3. yes *snip* if you cant reason with logic. and think your rights as a customer include such things.
*snip* and get in the line with the rest of us waiting for the game. *snip*. end of story.
we all got and are getting what we paid for. another great telltale game.
note to the mods. sorry if im abit harsh at times. but sometimes shit just has to be said.
(what gave you the idea that it is your "right" to know the exact status on a game? Just because you paid for the game....)
This has to be the most idiotic thing I've ever read lol..
It's like saying
"What says you have the right to claim a dvd as your own? just because you paid for it, give it here" (takes persons dvd)
or "What gave you the idea that you have the right to be annoyed that your product doesn't work properly? You think you do just because you paid for it"
and even "Who says you have the right to be annoyed if you buy food and it's already moldy before the date given? just because you paid for it doesn't mean you have the right to be annoyed!"
OH I SEE IT ONLY APPLIES FOR THE GAMING INDUSTRY REGARDING RELEASE DATES... riiiiiiiiiite
Good golly gosh this is the second and last time I ever post on these forums, people gone all mad n silly round dese pats... man it's infected me now.

I think your first post should have been your last. You paid for a game that is a episodic game. therefore you accept the fact you don't get the whole game at once. And it is released over a period of time.
No wheres did i say the game wasn't yours. I said you do not have the right to know the development stage. if you think you do, you have a problem with understanding how these things work.
You have the right to know that you will get 5 episodes form this game. when isn't up for debate.
Do you even understand what you are saying dude.
"OH I SEE IT ONLY APPLIES FOR THE GAMING INDUSTRY REGARDING RELEASE DATES... riiiiiiiiiite"
where did they give a date for episode 2 or 3 or 4 or 5? where are u getting these crazy ideas lol
That's as stupid as saying just because you paid for food you have no right to ask how it was prepared, what sort of meat was used, how the animal was killed (when infact you can)
Or if you pay for a product on amazon and it doesn't turn up you have no right about asking where it is and when will it arrive. (when once again you CAN)
And I'm sure if you had bought a item from amazon or ebay and you had not receive the item on the expected date and they decided not to reply to you, you would email said company to complain.
Yet you will probably deny this now to back up your weak argument.
What world are you living in, present me a piece of information about my rights and outline the part where i can use freedom of speech but please do bring some evidence forward that backs up your claim about how we have no right to complain or ask for the product we have paid for when it is behind it's release.
Please do. :-)
Bottom line is when people spend their money on anything they have a right to ask questions about said product/investment.
Someone stop that child from posting and trying to force down his one sided stubborn views on everyone else…
Please!
And just to end of my little rant another post to show you how silly he is...
"No wheres did i say the game wasn't yours. I said you do not have the right to know the development stage. if you think you do, you have a problem with understanding how these things work."
This rite here hahahaha, I don't even need to post one thing about it. The idiocy within those lines says it all.
I'm sure you will reply with something just as stupid but I wont bother reading or posting back here.
So long,

Except Bioware didn't advertise that the game would never end, and TTG advertised a monthly release... False Advertisement is a legal claim in America and I am sure in other countries also. If the guy wanted to go down that route, he could and more than likely win... Just saying...
It's all real life stuff spawner... real girls, real fun, real good talks. The food might be a bit artificial though. And again, I have no idea when in June episode 2 will finally hit. Haven't even had the stones to vote in the new poll yet. Not enough statistics for that one.
Well said.
Absolutely. I have no idea why they feel the need to:
1) defend the poor customer service of Telltale games
2) advise anyone who has the temerity to ask where the game is how to live their life.
But I'll be glad to fail if it's released before!

This is getting past insane, it seems Telltale could possibly put an end to this or at least make it better by releasing statement
hahahahaha that was good.
good luck man. youll need it hahahahaha
edit:
Everyone needs to do less bitching. law suits, false accusations and complaints about customer service. all because a release date got pushed back hahahaha
I bet all the devs who read the forums just fuckin laugh at half you morons hahahaha
Has the inelegance level of the world really come this low? common sense aint too common anymore.....
tell tale do not release full games in one go they are an EPISODIC game developer
which means (if you didn't know ) a game is split in to equal length 'chapters' released on a ''monthly'' schedule
in this case there is a delay for ep2, reason unknown but like it has been said MANY TIMES already, ttg standard practice of an extra month would explain the no 'updates'
reasons why the newbies get 'abuse' are imo
a) lack the self control to be polite and pleasant to everyone.
b) Don't do ANY research before buying and thusly blame everyone else with hate/venom/threats.
c)are 'normal people' who get their rocks off trolling...
Just because it's standard practice for TTG doesn't mean it's right!
also can you edit your earlier post and cut and paste the second one in ?
and totally agree about the common sense...
and merc read my post that is above yours again...
1. you are only entitled to what you paid for, nothing more nothing less.... nowhere in there tos does it say " all release dates are set in stone we promise!" nowhere does it say anything remotely close to that. nor did they ever say an exact date for any of the episodes.... so i dont know why everyone is getting bent out of shape. not like they promised an exact date.
2. no you do not have the "right" to know when its coming out. what in the name of god would give you that idea.
Only get one warning here?
I disagree.
do you now?
care to elaborate why?
So do I.
So long,
Kiss Kiss
